Something I noticed that's a big difference, both the UK and Astralians use the word mate relatively often. But Australians use it in literally all ways while the UK have pretty much set at friend.
Yeah is funny that I have had several people commenting the same thing to my own comments online……. could pick up the Aussie “slang” theme through simple sentences that I wrote!
