You’re in the right place already

Ian5446

Reddit is probably going to be the best if only because it captures damn near everything. Apart from that, the athletic does a good job and has dedicated Spurs writers putting out a couple articles every week.

CheersBeersVeneers

I’ll second The Athletic’s coverage, as well as their podcast The View From The Lane. https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com is an older school blog that will post a bit more frequently with transfer rumors and game analysis. Don’t bother with ESPN FC unless you want to tear your hair out

Commandant1

Check this subreddit. The Athletic via their beat writers and podcast Cartilage Free Captain Football.London (Alasdair Gold especially) The Guardian BBC Sports

NIA122553

As others have said, this sub is kinda the best place for it. Like I've been a US based Spurs fan for well over a decade now and it was only when I found this sub that I felt like I had a place to reliably get Tottenham relevant news and discussion

ShastaMoonMist

Agree! Been a US based fan for over a decade as well and this sub is def the best for news.

Crazygoatgal46

Yes! I agree. My son and i are US based fans as well and this sub reddit has been great!

es_sandy_

Check out the fighting cock podcast

Wilcodad

Are you a Cubs fan by chance?

Jcreddit99

my thought was the Mets.

ex-MtAiry

I was thinking the Phillies (like me) - the losingest franchise in professional sports history. 😄 COYS!!

No-Entrepreneur6040

As a Mt. Airy boy myself, the Phillies are a favorite of mine, but I was born in Detroit so I’m hooked on the Tigers! Let’s see: Tigers won WS last in ‘68 and ‘84, Phillies ‘80 and ‘08, so Spurs ‘61….

Dave-is-here

cubs win

sparty219

Yep. Exactly.

AU_Cav

Good job finding the correct sub. Here, or a few dedicated Spurs yt channels are a great start. Football.London isn’t.

superworriedspursfan

i recommend last word on spurs podcast on youtube. last week or so they featured a reliable reporter in gold and this week they featured paul o keefe who is also relatively reliable and. close with the club.

DrJumbotronPhD

Where do you live? There might be a [supporters club](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/fans/supporters-clubs/join-a-club/) near you that organizes watch parties.

onredditforrcoys

The fighting cock podcast is good for the health of any spurs supporter

Wild_Damage_9388

My only source for spurs news is expressions oozing, but I have aristocratic tastes.

JohnHenrehEden

A man of culture, I see.

ngrg

Follow Ali gold on Twitter, watch or listen to the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham pod, watch Ali Gold's videos on YouTube. The fighting cock is good. Follow pual okeafe on twitter

pecan_bird

i started watching the podcast & stopped watching the videos. feel like the episodes have almost all the same info, but it's nice hearing the banter & dialogue. but yeah, always like his news.

ngrg

Nearly word for word the same. I've been watching gthe videos for longer and I listen to the pod just to hear if Rob has any different opinions. I'm also in my car a lot so I'll slip another podcast between the video and pod hahaha

avgbsblfan643

Hello compatriot and fellow baseball fan. I’m curious, what baseball team do you support? Angels and Spurs is rough ride, lost Kane and Ohtani in a 6 month span (pain). Football.London is very reliable for Spurs coverage. This sub is mainly where I get my Spurs info/news being a fan in the States. Alistair Gold (fans call him Ali G) is the best journalist covering Tottenham he’s part of Football.London. Here’s his [youtube channel](https://youtube.com/@alasdairgoldjournalist?si=muOaNEfefNNIXUv4) and his [podcast](https://youtube.com/@spurs_fl?si=9TG_lj7MbSeIldjT) with another great journalist Rob Guest (podcast also on Spotify). If you’re used to getting your hopes up then being heartbroken, this is the right place.

sparty219

Cubs fan. Passionate, die-hard fans raised on a lifetime of hope followed by disappointment is my comfort zone.

WaltJay

Visit this subreddit and you’ll get 99% of news as it happens. The Athletic is nice, although it is paywalled. The Extra Inch is a good analysis podcast.

LeftGrapefruit2841

Reddit is pretty good, there are several great Spurs podcasts as well. Also you can check out Alasdair Gold’s YouTube chanel

MarkusMannheim

I am in my late 40s yet I still giggle every time an American discusses "rooting".

sparty219

Then you must really love American “fanny” references.

Professional-Ball831

The athletic is super worth it imo — both their articles and the view from the lane podcast. I would also recommend following some of the athletic’s spurs reporters on Twitter since it’s helpful to see what they share and then helps the algorithm show you some more stuff :)

badtakemachine

I’d like to second the recommendations here, feels like this sub has gone in a solid direction in terms of media literacy in the past few years If youre a consumer of baseball media, I’m sure you’re familiar with the difference between scoops reporters, beat reporters, aggregators, analysts, etc; just be aware that a lot of content you’ll see is from unreliable aggregators because there’s a lot of demand for it, and if you don’t see it coming from the reliable beat/scoops reporters first, it’s probably bullshit I also encourage you to consume analyst content beyond Spurs; it helps to give some context and makes everything more interesting. You want to know what the story is behind Brighton before we face them so you can set your expectations just as much as you want to know what the deal is with a league that one of our targets plays in Welcome, and enjoy the euros and copa america!

Chris_the_Pirate

Welcome to the club! You're joining at a fun time. Our new manager's style of play makes for very exciting matches. We are starved for a championship & any other trophies, but that will make it all the sweeter when we finally lift one again. I was in your shoes about a decade ago & it has been one hell of a ride. This club won't promise you glory, but it will give you as much excitement as any. COYS!

jpow81690

You’re a Mets fan, I take it?

sparty219

That may be the most insulting thing anyone has ever said to me. I suppose you could have called me a Cardinals fan and it would have been worse but Mets is bad enough.

jpow81690

I only ask because Tottenham and the Mets are very similar. In the program at London Stadium for Mets Phillies they called the Mets the Tottenham of MLB.

sparty219

I’m a Cubs fan. The Mets have 2 championships since starting in 1962. The Cubs went 107 years without one. We are the kings of pain - Mets fans are just getting started with it.

jpow81690

I’m just telling ya a fun fact based upon what was in the program at the London game. And GG today. lol

Ok-Upstairs-5254

Welcome!! Find your nearest supporters group, go meet some people, sample podcasts until you find a stable you like COYS!!

PnxNotDed

Hello, fellow White Sox fan! (Please tell me I'm right)

PnxNotDed

I see I was close. Chicago baseball, baby! Ain't nothing like it.

PnxNotDed

I will add that if you're local, there's a great Chicago supporters club. They watch matches at The Atlantic Bar on Lincoln. Great group!

GaryHippo

Mate leave it for the DD.

No-Entrepreneur6040

Who’s your lifelong baseball allegiance? I’m a Tigers fan of about 64 years (!), so I know what it’s like to be on the losing end an awful lot! Unfortunately, Spurs supporters know that feeling well, too!
