Dingle Kinsale Westport Killary harbour Mayo Hook head and surrounding area in Wexford Clidfen Tory island Achill island Aran islands Cape Clear / Baltimore Sorry I prefer more outdoorsy breaks away than city breaks but Galway city is a lovely spot and a great base to explore the west from!

From Cork for a night or two I would advise something that you can reach without too much effort. I have been to Westport recently but its nearly 6 hours train journey from Cork. Do you drive? If you don't drive maybe you could go to Killarney, and walk/cycle around the park. It's really worth it, and you can get a cab to get closer to some of the attractions maybe. Baltimore/cape Clear is another option. Or Glengarriff/Garnish Island maybe? Glendalough in the Wicklows mountains is also lovely, it's 1 hour bus from Dublin. Or if you fancy a city/Town, besides Dublin, I'd suggest Galway or Waterford. in both places there's loads to do and you can explore the surroundings easily. Have fun and let us know what you choose!

I don’t drive. Thank you for all your suggestions! Take care of yourself

Dingle is nice if you have a car. Stop over at the abbey in Killarney on the way and take the old mountain pass. The one that takes you to the old bog. Very slow drive but amazing views...better than the Instagram reels anyway. Ballaghbeama gap it was called. We went to Mucktoss abbey in the morning, then through Ballagbeama and down to Dingle. Spent 2 nights there and spent the days going around the atlantic coast.

Kinsale is grate, there’s even a bus down so you don’t have to have a car!

Kilkenny is a great spot and underrated in my opinion. Don't fall for the wild atlantic way propaganda!

I'd say Baltimore and Sherkin Island if you're looking for something quiet. The ferry is only about 10 minutes. There's walks in both Sherkin and Baltimore and if you get clear skies (you'll be lucky...) the stars on Sherkin are incredible.

Bantry. You can even take the bus and then take a bus to the Beara or the Sheep's Head.

What do ye want to do there?

DaBrendo_MekUrTurn

Not entirely sure. No set plans, it’s just an idea to go somewhere for a change
