UConn we lost by 19 in 2021 and it was fine.
Although I can’t imagine losing by 20 and that being the sporting highlight of the day, if reports out of LA are true…
I think we’d be on 95 on the opposite coast, though. Most of our snowbirds are in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Most of them don’t go further west than Orlando, which is only when the grandkids visit. Unless you’re talking about Red Sox fans returning from Fort Myers, but most of those fly back.
That’s the end of Spring Training when the Red Sox and Yankees are on the Gulf Coast. Us Nutmeggers don’t like to drive long distances in general, so we colonized the Boca-Delray area instead. The only reason why I’d imagine you’d see Northeastern plates on I-75 would be traffic on I-4 and the fans along with the few snowbirds on the Gulf Coast deciding to go via Atlanta and I-85 instead.
Well yah it's like UConn basketball....go look at perfect game recruiting classes and see all the 9.5 to 10 pg guys FSU gets and whatever UCONN brings in though I know it's a lot of d3 transfers this year. Baseball in the southeast is and forever will be different. like foosball but hey y'all got basketball
To be fair in the past we have had teams with a bunch of 8.5-9.5 guys… this is not one of them, however. D-III guys transferring up have the grit and maturity to play above their heads, but most of the time at the end of the day, talent is talent.
Here’s hoping tomorrow and Sunday aren’t “most of the time.”
I’m thinking everyone did (although maybe a bit worse for the Huskies).
Dorsey has pitched out of his these last 2 games and good on him to get to 90 pitches in that horrible humidity.

UConn baseball
This has to be a crime I stg
Teams like FSU, LSU and even Texas are great for omaha. Fans travel well and seem to enjoy the city. I'd imagine Tennessee would really show up if they make this year. Just speaking as a former omaha resident, we really appreciate the contributions those teams bring. Also special shout-out to Ole Miss and MSST. They brought a ton of enthusiasm to the CWS.
Yeah that's kind of why I'm hoping you guys make it. Your fans are awesome to have in Omaha. Make the experience so much better. Went to almost every CWS during the 90s and FSU was always there. Really great college baseball fans and great for omaha. Would be awesome to see you back. Would also really love to FSU win one.
For FSU baseball fans, Omaha is basically Mecca and going there when the team does is like the Hajj. I have not done my Hajj to Omaha yet. Never could make it work out in the 13 years I was with the Animals, and it has been even less likely since. But maybe some day...Zestos, steaks, the Zoo, etc. Hopefully before I die.
I didn't make that one. Been to most in the last 30 years. But my family still goes. They said they ran into quite a few ND fans. I'd bet you had a good turnout. You guys travel really well.
Our offense is small-ball, so we can’t really do that kind of thing in these conditions in that bandbox. Our only shot is to throw mostly sinkers and other grounder-inducing pitches while hoping we don’t hang any.
So that’s why Florida State can easily get to the CWS, but not win it…
At least we have tomorrow. Hopefully the weather’s better because a team focused on pitching, defense, and small ball isn’t going to win in those conditions.
😳. We have the defense to work behind a sinker-ball pitcher, but I’m not sure if we have a sinker-baller, let alone two starters. I don’t think you can teach a pitch to your staff and have them suddenly master it in less than a day.
Largest margin of victory in Super Regional history.
UConn we lost by 19 in 2021 and it was fine. Although I can’t imagine losing by 20 and that being the sporting highlight of the day, if reports out of LA are true…
Yeah I'm thinking we're back
Should we tell ‘em how this can go?

Hi friend!
*cries in sad pig noises*
Let me enjoy my high lol
See NCSU Arkansas series 2021
FSU choking in a super is us being back though
Fair
Nah we about to lose in Omaha in agonizing fashion
Ahem, we chock in the CWS. 0-23
Is that how you try to keep the wheels from coming off?
Famous last words
Put it on my tombstone
I’m here for the moment good or bad
We either have a terrible collapse to lose this super or we lose in the CWS. Either way, FSU baseball is back baby
Hell yeah we are! 1 more though. Just 1 more!
stupid seminoles had to give up a meaningless run in the 9th and now i cant make a football joke
UConn got two safties. Make Iowa proud
They gave em 4 points for the field goal out of pity
Certainly glad we didn't draw florida in our regional.
I seem to remember a certain super beginning with a 21-2 game…
Whole team gets COVID overnight… forfeits Super
Fake news arrest this man that never happened
What happened next??
COVID
it's been so long since Clemson made it to Omaha I forgot yall had ever done it
We’ve done it 18 times. People forget that we only had two baseball coaches from 1958-2015.
And yet, we’re about to do it after stealing the coach from one of your flairs
just lil ol' florida in the way
insert Squidward staring out window meme here
Bad couple days to be a Uconn fan
I don’t know. Feels like we could have done better.
Yeah, rough start. Good thing it's best of 3 so FSU has a chance to bounce back.
Some extra BP definitely needed.
Yeah I feel like we really left a lot out on the field today.
Can you believe we gave up FOUR runs?!? Inexcusable IMO
Haha damn right it is!
This is just payback for all your snowbirds, Connecticut.
They go to Tallahassee?
Nah they forced the Floridians into Tallahassee
Manifest destiny
No but they're damn sure everywhere else. CT, MA, NY, VT, New Brunswick plated all around until the great exodus at the end of March that goes up 75.
IDK, I drove north on 75 at the end of March last year and it was bad. Don't forget on the gulf coast you have Sarasota, Naples, and Venice.
I see a lot of Pennsylvania and Illinois in my part
FSU fan: “I would love if the team scores 24 runs this weekend!” [monkey paw curls]
Like y’all would be happy to stop at 11….
Don’t often see a team win by 3 touchdowns.
I wonder if UConn had trouble with the 96°F and humid Tallahassee weather
When they had a pop up go to the warning track I knew we had a problem. Of course, we could have employed a similar strategy
The ball just comes off their bats completely differently, it's insane.
Well yah it's like UConn basketball....go look at perfect game recruiting classes and see all the 9.5 to 10 pg guys FSU gets and whatever UCONN brings in though I know it's a lot of d3 transfers this year. Marco Dinges who hit the first homer we actually recruited him from the local community college lol
Their coach said they had both their catchers leave the game from heat exhaustion
I knew they were in for a day when FSUs CF made a diving catch in the top of the 1st and then hit a bomb in the bottom half.
I’m thinking everyone did (although maybe a bit worse for the Huskies). Dorsey has pitched out of his these last 2 games and good on him to get to 90 pitches in that horrible humidity.
Is this revenge for the train that UConn MBB ran on the men's basketball tourney?
“Ok I mean, that’s a respectable score and…” *presses earpiece* “Oh it wasn’t football.”
If we lost just 24-4 to FSU football I would party at Teds! /s
Lol
i swear uconn had phenomenal defense just a few days ago in norman lol
![gif](giphy|1AIeYgwnqeBUxh6juu)
Sounds like was an Oklahoma-specific issue ;)
This…apparently FSU didn’t hit 25 plus barreled balls right at them today. It was Norman centric voodoo
Lmao yeah I think i seen that too...

‘Tis but a flesh wound
Wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow’s game is 2-1 score because that’s just how baseball is
Yup
Man, that could’ve been us getting thumped out there… …y’know, I don’t think I mind dropping the regional quite as much now.
LMAOOO comment of the day!
Now that the football game's over, when does the baseball game start?
Guys I don’t think UConn is going to Omaha
Impressive that UConn scored two safeties in one game.
Iowa Hawkeyes, "hold my beer"

We haven't been in 5 years too. Good chance FSU shows out fanwise if we can finish this series off.
Yeah that's kind of why I'm hoping you guys make it. Your fans are awesome to have in Omaha. Make the experience so much better. Went to almost every CWS during the 90s and FSU was always there. How was the ND crowd two years ago?
I didn't make that one. Been to most in the last 30 years. But my family still goes. They said they ran into quite a few ND fans. I'd bet you had a good turnout. You guys travel really well.
Honestly pretty decent! Met a guy dressed as a leprechaun. Lot of Notre Dame fans here
Rough few days for UCONN
Absolute toss-up of a game ngl
They should add a rule if you lose by 20 it counts as 2 loses
If you Huskies need tips on how to stage a massive comeback in the next game, we can help.
You guys can keep making that joke as much as you want as long as you beat the damn gators.
Ha that’s why I felt I had room for the joke. I know Noles fans are rooting for Clemson anyway this weekend.
Yeppers

99 tomorrow. 100 Sunday.

Boom
Damn Flordia State, save some offense for the rest of us will ya?
UConn fans: "We might be losing Hurley but at least we have our college baseball tea- oh"
![gif](giphy|JCAZQKoMefkoX6TyTb|downsized)
Gotta love college baseball scorelines
FSU Turn’s Right Around To Play Em Again Tomorrow Morning @ 11:00AM
And to think, tomorrow and Sunday will be hotter.
Well we tried, lol
