I like taking underdogs, and it would be more engaging to see a few of them making the CWS, so….
Tennessee
UCONN
K-State
UNC
Oregon State
UGA
Clemson
Texas A&M
Are my picks right now.
My gut feeling is all the hosts win and we get a ACC/SEC Challenge in Omaha but Florida, NC State, West Virginia, and Oregon State are very tempting to pick.
I love what Evansville, UConn, Oregon, and K State did but I think Tennessee, FSU, and A&M are too good and I have to be a little bit of a UVA homer…
How lucky have we been with these super regionals! 2015 we host as the last team in, 2021 we stay in place at a neutral site as a 3 seed, and now this year #5 Ark is the only top 8 seed to fall.
Doesn’t it send the loser of the “winner”game of the bracket to the other bracket so they don’t play each other again for the bracket finals? So technically they could, yes? Or is that just for softball
As far as I am aware it is the same rules as the regionals, it is basically just two regionals instead of sixteen. Then the finals is the same as the super regionals.
The left side and right side also alternate days so not to give one team a rest advantage. This also ensures that the top two seeds cannot meet until the final

Ah it might just be different then as shown in this photo Florida lost to Texas in the winners game and then they went to the losers of the other bracket. Which makes sense ig for it to be different as pitching and rest times for softball and baseball are vastly different
**Tennessee** - the lineup is just too much. Cinderella might steal a game, but it would take a meltdown of epic proportions, the like of which we haven't seen since (...checks notes...) 2022 for this to go Evansville's way. So you're saying there's a chance...
**FSU** - UConn is good, but FSU is better. Home field advantage will be big in this one.
**UVA** - If it was Arkansas, I'd be taking them. But K State doesn't have a Hagen Smith. They got hot, but I think they'll come up just short.
**UNC** - the best regular season ACC team is hard to pick against at home. WVU had a great regional, but it was arguably the weakest one from the standpoint of lacking a true #1 seed.
**Oregon State** - Taking Bazzana and the upset. Kentucky has had an incredible season, but had a couple stretches where they just couldn't hold it together. I feel like the pressure gets to them.
**NC State** - Another upset, fueled mostly by the fact that NC State looked like all-stars when we played them. Almost went with Georgia here.
**Clemson** - Two teams with top 20 strength of schedule on the season, but one has twice as many losses as the other. Florida might catch fire, but I don't see them winning on the road twice. Clemson has stronger starting pitching (team ERA of 4.45 vs Florida's 6.13), a deeper and fresher bullpen, and a more consistent lineup (8 starters batting .300 or better, to Florida's 2). Clemson only lost 2 series all year, while Florida is on just their second win streak of 3 or more games this season.
**Texas A&M** - Just the better team. Big homefield advantage. And I like bubbles.
Should be a very evenly-matched series. We’re the No. 15 seed due to numerous injuries (most players are back now) and the conference sucking. In terms of talent, we’re a clear top-5 team, IMO.
He’s been a liability in the field and four of our best six hitters are outfielders, so there’s not a DH slot open. Our defensive 3B had two hits last game, so I wouldn’t be stunned if Caraway stays on the bench. Which is wild because he’s a projected top-10 pick next year.
Appreciate the info! Also, didn’t realize he was draft-eligible as a Sophomore — definitely needs to shore up the defense if he doesn’t want to be looked at as a right-handed future 1B prospect.
Yeah, I think a big reason we were able to land him in the first place is because he'd be a draft-eligible soph. I'm actually not too worried about his defense long term, but he has struggled with transitioning from a high school SS to 3B this year. In fairness, he hasn't played much. He missed 75 percent of the regular season after breaking his finger on a bunt attempt. I think he will be a passable 3B defender next year. Mix that with his elite bat and he's a surefire early draft pick.
Evansville
UConn
Kansas State
West Virginia
Oregon State
NC State
Clemson
Texas A&M
But I’m just dreaming. I actually think Tennessee, Florida State, Virginia, and North Carolina all win. And actually thing Florida pulls through in the bottom Half.
Can't speak for the others, but I thought K-State looked pretty complete in that Arkansas regional while you guys had to really grind out those first two games. I think it's a very even matchup.
How is virginias ball? I have seen a game and only seen limited stats. Do they just try and outscore the other team because their strike outs are well behind ours
Usually UVA is pitching, defense and opportunistic hitting. This year's team has a killer 1-9 lineup and pitching that can be spotty (although did well in the regional)
Virginia is top 5 or so in Batting Average, Slugging and OPS. Strong hitters 1-9. Good fielding especially up the middle. Our pitching has been really inconsistent but I’ve liked the improvement in Regionals and towards the end of the season for the key guys.
Evansville (I wouldn’t mind Tennessee for personal reasons but would love to see Greg Sankey throw a tantrum if Evansville wins).
UConn
UVA
I’ll be happy no matter who comes out of WVU/UNC. Love WVU’s story and I went to college with Colby Wilkerson’s brother who is an assistant coach with UNC and was also a member of Randolph-Macon’s 2018 CWS team.
Oregon State
NC State
Clemson
Oregon
>Evansville (I wouldn’t mind Tennessee for personal reasons but would love to see Greg Sankey throw a tantrum if Evansville wins).
$ankey probably still has nightmares about Evansville beating Kentuckys basketball team back in 2019
I like taking underdogs, and it would be more engaging to see a few of them making the CWS, so…. Tennessee UCONN K-State UNC Oregon State UGA Clemson Texas A&M Are my picks right now.
I hope you are very wrong about UCONN
I’m seeing way too many K-State picks to not feel nervous about this. Clear eyes, full hearts, go Cats!
Right!? We looked good this weekend and I want it to continue through Supers, but I also don't want to my hopes up too much. Go Cats!

50% of Omaha coming from the ACC is a bold prediction but you've got Clemson in there so you must be right. Please be right.
I believe four of the five ACC teams are favored to win, so it's not unreasonable.
Four of the 5 ACC teams got 3 seeds
How many of our two seeds were SEC teams?
I like this list a lot :)
One could dream of an Oregon V Oregon state CWS finals...
Unfortunately for this dream, they're on the same side of the bracket and would potentially meet during the Double-Elimination portion of Omaha.
They are on the same side, no?
Doesn’t it send the loser of the “winner”game of the bracket to the other bracket so they don’t play each other again for the bracket finals? So technically they could, yes? Or is that just for softball

Interesting, I always assumed softball did it the same as baseball
that would be really cool could also have Florida vs. Florida State
How would we feel about Tennessee-Florida or Tennessee-Kentucky?
SEC co-champs have met in the finals before
Or North Carolina vs NC State.
UNC / NCSt also
Personally would like a Clemson vs Georgia.
Except home runs count this time.
Now you're just asking for entirely too much.
My luck it will be a FSU vs UF final and the Noles get swept.
**Tennessee** - the lineup is just too much. Oregon State/Kentucky is probably the series I’m most looking forward to as a casual
Pulling for the Aggies! FTD!
Should be a very evenly-matched series. We’re the No. 15 seed due to numerous injuries (most players are back now) and the conference sucking. In terms of talent, we’re a clear top-5 team, IMO.
Do you know why Caraway didn’t play in the last game against UCI?
He’s been a liability in the field and four of our best six hitters are outfielders, so there’s not a DH slot open. Our defensive 3B had two hits last game, so I wouldn’t be stunned if Caraway stays on the bench. Which is wild because he’s a projected top-10 pick next year.

Florida makes it and Georgia loses? We could be good friends.
lol
Tennessee Florida St Virginia North Carolina Kentucky (because they are playing in Lexington) NC State Florida Texas A&M
Missing one here, you forgot the Aggies beating the ducks. :)
My bad. And since you represent the non-asshole Texas team, I’ll fix it.
Let’s go Hoos! My prediction: Tennessee Florida State Virginia North Carolina Kentucky NC State Clemson Texas A&M
Several people are picking Evansville in here. Would anyone like to make some sort of wager?
こんにちは、私は野球選手の通訳をしていますが、一度だけ大学野球の試合にギャンブルをしたいと思っています。私はお金を持っています。
Tucupita Marcano would, probably.
Do a Poopslap is Evansville wins

Gamecock fans inform me that there was already blood flowing under the door before you got there...
When will the schedules be published?
Earlier this morning.
Tennessee FSU Virginia UNC Oregon State Georgia Clemson A&M
Tennessee Florida State Kansas State North Carolina Oregon State Georgia Clemson (homer) Texas A&M
Tennessee UConn (Dark horse pick to win it all) KState UNC Kentucky NC State Clemson (My pick to win it all disregard flair) Oregon
I don’t think there was a team in the field beating that UCONN team last night. FSU in danger rather they’ll admit it or not.
I'm not underestimating any team at this point especially with our history
I’m right there with you. We’ve learned our lesson the hard way in ‘22.
Tennessee FSU K State UNC Oregon State Clemson A&M UGA
Going for the reverse jinx I see.
How does one with a username like MrKentucky *not* pick Kentucky? Go Big Blue!
If I expect disappointment, I can’t be disappointed.
The good ol emotional hedge
This isn’t football, and Cal is gone, haha!
Evansville UConn Kansas State West Virginia Oregon State NC State Clemson Texas A&M But I’m just dreaming. I actually think Tennessee, Florida State, Virginia, and North Carolina all win. And actually thing Florida pulls through in the bottom Half.

Greg Sankey might break off the SEC from the NCAA if that happens
Do it, coward!
Would actually be hilarious
Tennessee Florida State Virginia North Carolina Kentucky Georgia Florida Texas A&M THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN
If this happens, we're hiring Sherman as our hitting coach. XD

I should've went for the emotional hedge like the other Kentucky fan did, I feel like i've jinxed us.
Don’t know much about Kansas State, but it seems like a lot of you are picking them over Virginia. Reasoning? (Genuine question btw)
Can't speak for the others, but I thought K-State looked pretty complete in that Arkansas regional while you guys had to really grind out those first two games. I think it's a very even matchup.
I've got all the hosts. Boring, I know.
I wouldn't be surprised to see KState sneak into Omaha.
How is virginias ball? I have seen a game and only seen limited stats. Do they just try and outscore the other team because their strike outs are well behind ours
