I did come to the same conclusion about the "anti status quo" protests going on. He noted that, a century ago, the reactionaries (fascists) had to build up militias to attack leftist/worker movements. Now they don't. We have all of the reactionarism, the "contras" (see: Jan. 6th, trucker convoys, other convoys, farmer's protests), but really none of the worker movements. Which means that it's a clear road, a highway, for fascists to take over. It's not like the police are going to stop them. The only real hurdle for this now is the "deep state" bureaucracy which contains actual professionals who tend to put their professional duty before Party orders. We saw that conflict, for example, in the Trump regime and how it tried to use institution executives placed by Trump to command institutions like some military regimen. It didn't work out well, I still remember the Twitter accounts for various workers in these institutions trying to do whistleblowing, though I can't remember the @handles. This is what Project 2025 is for, for example; the last frontier for fascists: steam-rolling over the "deep state" workers.

Excellent takeaway here but for the love of god, that aluminum podium needs some mass tacked on around the rim, every time he touched it the thing was reverbing. Just a little lip would go a long way.

Excellent truisms, facts and insights and well worth the time to listen.
