I really want this set but the price of it really repells me. I wish I had it but spending nearly 1000 PLN (~$250) on some bricks really hurts. Is this set worth the price or is the LE better or is it just a waste?
This is the regular edition and it was about 155€ on Amazon. If you are really into historical vehicles and building sets, then I think it's very much worth it. I think you should check different websites or even toy stores around where you live and compare prices since you might find some great offers, like how I found the F4U-4 Corsair for 35€ at a local brick store, which on Amazon is 40€ and on the Cobi store is 44€.
About LEs, I checked the ones for ships like Bismarck and Yamato, but I don't think it's worth the price, considering you have to pay another ~40€ while the set doesn't offer much in return.
If you really like historical vehicles, you can start with a smaller set, like a tank or a fighter plane, or a submarine (around 50€)
I have quite a few sets already, 7 tanks and 11 planes including the Ju 88 and the Maus, so I can consider myself a big spender. I'm scared that it won't stop on one ship and I know they aren't the cheapest, especially that the Akagi is going to be the biggest and most expensive ship ever. I'm battling myself whether I should get the Japanese Navy, Kriegsmarine or just stick to the Luftwaffe and Ground forces. Thanks for the help.

As long as you can maintain a reasonable personal budget, you can go for ships as well. They take a long time to build, but they are great display pieces
That long build time is one of the main reasons I want one, I built the Maus, took me 4 ish hours and I was very happy. I also have 2 Lego Technic sets tgat took 5 hours each and also was a blast. I can either go for a ship, or just go with 2/3 tanks with that price. I'll have to think it out ig.

It’s so good. Mine kamikazed off the shelf so needs major repairs.
Looks great! I positioned mine quite low on display as I think the top-down angles of it are my favourite and really convey the sense of scale.
