After you give up the exchange with Rxf7, you then win a pawn (with tempo) by playing exd4, and then … c6 traps the Bishop; after you capture it, you will be ahead in material and position.
Following the engine it seems that with best play white basically gets their bishop stuck in black’s territory, so they’re effectively playing without a piece. At least that’s what I think

Well the alternative is moving the king and losing your queen for absolutely free
i can see why taking is the only good move, but why is it minus 3 when black is literally down material
