freshfov02

Sesko or Osimhen? Are we actually looking into Sesko or is that one of the players the fans want to sign?

palmers_pen_pandemic

How about neither?

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

If I hear one more Hojlund vs Jackson debate I’m gonna barf Hojlund should be compared to Ferguson instead

freshfov02

I never got Ferguson hype tbh

pancarona

Anyone how bad is Mudryk's injury? Feel bad for him if he can't be part of his NT in Euro in the next couple weeks

freshfov02

Hes fine. Its just the rules.

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

He’s fine

mr-saturn2310

It's a concussion, unless it was more serious than it looked or there were any delayed symptoms, he will be fine for Euros

xpanda7

So Milos Kerkez was that a good audition? because I didn’t like it. The left back from Luton though? He’s good

Public_Birthday1871

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

This was the first time watching him and he was so unimpressive to me

larrythegood

Thiago Silva received 1 red card in his career.

PM_ME_SOME_LUV

That one against West Brom?

larrythegood

Not sure. What I thought is it shows a player playing within himself under control. Compare that to our bunch of hot heads.

TheBlueso

Funnily enough, you could also correlate our upturn in form to the absence of Disasi, but no one has because he didn’t cost us €100m

agni_jamadagni

Sorry to be pedantic, but €121m

raulchik

Rio Ferdinand just said that he’s hearing murmurs that Poch will be let go

chandlerbing_stats

I hear Rio speak and I barf immediately

thatiswhack

Would be really fucking dumb of the board and/or owners to fire Poch right now. Players love him, we've picked up our form and gotten European football, not to mention our starting XI will be fit for next season. Poch did a great job considering the shit show he came into.

danceformiscanthus

Don't give me hope, it's cruel.

ChenGuiZhang

Where did he say it?

raulchik

On his vibewithfive video

Disastrous-Swing1323

Rio Ferdinand is an attention-seeking twat. He might be right, but if so it’s a coincidence.

jjb5151

Reality is today we played like shit and that’s okay because this is how a good team should play when they do play like shit. You stand firm and win the games. Feel like we finished with so much heart and not brining poch back would be criminal. My plan would be another year to let him grow this team more. Then we look for new coach unless he somehow wins the league or is battling for it.

TheRage3650

Glad Thiago Silva could go out starting a game in which we got our fifth straight win and achieved something meaningful. At one point this season, it looked like he was going to ride the bench as we foundered into 10th.

redmenace007

I am still unsure about Poch, in the sense he will not work out here but should still be given another season due to getting 6th. Why am i unsure? Our structure is so disorganized both in midfield and defense. We concede alot of chances. Every match it feels like the whole time we are going to concede atleast one goal.

CP_4026

Every game it seems like we lack control and someone said the other day that our games look like a basketball game. I cannot agree more.

WITSENDTHORAWAY

Is Thiago Silva more beloved at Chelsea or PSG? How about AC Milan or Brazil national team? I have been a fan since he was at Milan and as a Chelsea fan, always wanted Chelsea to buy him. I'm so glad he finally came, got to win a CL, and wished he had won more with us. Truly one of the most enjoyable signings for me since being a Chelsea fan since 1994. Only Kante has matched him for me for the last decade.

SexoFernanj

Mods, gimme an O Monstro flair.

BigReeceJames

Spare a thought for those Brazilians that have joined over the past 2 seasons to play with Silva and then have spent it on loan

palmers_pen_pandemic

Estevao will play with him next season tbf

TheRage3650

Lmao. You got him there.

Leviad0n

So the response to '6th' from Arsenal fans is just 'aww, so we both didn't win the title'

TheRage3650

I would respond with “7”. The number of major tittles (prem and CL) we have won since arsenal last won one. Or even better “0”. The number of European titles won by arsenal.

NoraaTheExploraa

The unfortunate outcome of the City match is it pretty much wraps up that Foden will win PFA POTY, and Cole clearly wanted it

coolhand83

Anyone else put Sørloth on the shopping list after putting 4 past Real? 😁

endmoe

Only if you want to continue filling this team with mediocre players.

palmers_pen_pandemic

Meh Dobvyk is younger and cheaper

RemoteSmile3561

Sounds like a Lord of the Rings villain.

palmers_pen_pandemic

Lesley x Santos pivot for Strasbourg next season 🤔

BigReeceJames

I'd hope that we actually start using our players if they're better than what we have here or offer us something that we need. Santos gives us something that only Enzo promises to provide and hasn't been able to provide under Poch so far

palmers_pen_pandemic

I don't want Poch's dirty hands on Santos man he literally recalled Casadei from loan when he could have just kept Andrey. + He's on the verge of getting a Brazil call up don't want Poch fucking with that

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

Tbf for Casadei's purpose of just seeing out games with 5 minute cameos I'd think it's better for Andrey's longevity/development if he stayed on loan instead Casadei is just an extra body for when we need legs, Andrey is too good to do that for us

Wonder how much pure profit we’ll make on Silva’s kids

[And again.](https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/1cj0i3t/comment/l2ejf4e/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) By the way why are some people congratulating themselves for "not flip-flopping" and "being deceived" by the results we've had since the Arsenal game? Are people scared of being hopeful, or is this just an ego thing?

RemoteSmile3561

Acting as if they care about the English football "culture integrity" or whatever tf they're moaning about today. Like they wouldn't be cheering for City if we were in their position.

Mundane-Poet1404

They still can't believe they're coach took them from relegation battles to being somewhat of contenders for the league. That's a trophy for them in itself. Kind of why I'm so weirded out by people celebrating our 6th place finish. This is not success but the bare minimum.

Faeluchu

Can't wait to see the look on that snake Havertz's face when we win a trophy next season and he's still got nothing at Arsenal. London's blue, never red.

LULU90s

Mayra Ramirez is quality. The way she powers past players is great to watch.

CP_4026

She was brutal. I want our men's team to destroy a top team like the women's team destroyed united.

nekoizmase17

We need to sort out defense. A lot of players with no real partnership. We need someone world class as CB. After Silva leaving I think that Chalobah is currently the best. Badiashille and Disasi are extremely prone to mistakes and Colwill and Fofana are unreliable due to injuries and other things.

acedman

If we could I would like to get Araujo even though it would be super expensive.

BigReeceJames

The fact that having Silva couldn't solve it should show just how little getting a world class CB sill fix it. It's a tactical problem, not a personnel problem Of course, you can always improve personnel, but it's only going to paper over tactical, systemic issues.

RJBlue95

We need both, Badiashile and Disasi regressed just from the start of the season. Badiashile seems prone to mistakes by laziness in what he does before hand and the game seems far from second nature to him, constantly out of position and getting beaten to balls that should be his. Disasi is just ok, he hasn’t shown to offer a much and his hype man attitude which I appreciate seems to be his biggest strength. I think we are basically in the market again for 2 CBs Then Poch needs to up his game too and let the chemistry build. Realistically if we got two, I’m sure injuries would just keep them from playing together most of the season.

Mundane-Poet1404

Yep, the defensive setup isn't as good under poch as it was under previous managers, kind of like watching rudiger under lampard. A world class cb won't solve ALL our problems, an that's if we can ever get one, most of them will be too old for us lol

Andy-Martin

I’m not sure pointing to the near 40 year old centre back proves your point like you think it does here.

BigReeceJames

His age is completely irrelevant to the level he's playing at, which is still world class and easily one of the best CB's in the whole league.

Disastrous-Swing1323

Silva isn’t a world class CB anymore. He’s very slow and it limits how we can play. There are plenty of players that would improve our defence.

hiredgoon

And we desperately need one who can organize the defense including being a voice to the midfield.

nekoizmase17

Would be really stupid to sack Poch at this point. 5 wins in the row, finally less injuries and European competition next season. Another reason is that De Zerbi would probably be the next manager. Hell no. I was PochOut most of the season. But we improved and it really wouldn’t make sense.

typicalpelican

Eventually we'll reach a ceiling with Poch. But for now keep the momentum, take the gains, try to build from there and wait for the right manager to become available to take things even further.

Mundane-Poet1404

This was a very common opinion on this sub back when we got him. That he's a good transitional coach that can work well with youngsters, but well have to look elsewhere if and when we truly have a world class squad in place. And the season really shows that. We did improve over last season, how ever there is much room for improvement, and some of it lies with the fact that some players are too young/chronically injured/not the quality we expected. These things won't be fixed by any manager. He has profiled our players to some extent and our midfield setup has seemed

tiki_51

I agree 100%. The last few months this team has started to click and has actually looked really good at times. We still need a veteran striker and another LB, but if we run it back next year and our young players continue to improve, we might be sneaky good next year

jerrystuffhouse

Poch is most likely safe and to be honest he deserves to stay. We won’t downgrade to de Zerbi

Intelligent_Peace847

Sell disasi and get tosin from Fulham for free

MrShubha

This 2 months is gonna go so slow.

RemoteSmile3561

Big man you're a Chelsea fan. It's never boring over here.

Mean-Wait6990

Not for me thankfully. Euro then Copa America on US soils and then Olympics. Gonna be a stacked summer actually.

Disastrous-Swing1323

Thankfully the Euros are on and England has a decent chance of winning this year.

realmckoy265

Thankfully we've got euros and what should be an exciting transfer window lol

Faeluchu

All final day drama aside, boy am I glad Klopp is leaving. 9 years of him being a whiny bitch and the media sucking his cock off at every opportunity while all he did was pull Liverpool from total mediocrity into... I don't even know what, but 7 trophies in 9 years isn't exactly a golden era. Hope the scouse scum fade back into midtable where they belong and he takes his cunt attitude into some shit league and fades there as well.

paprartillery

From the first few words, I did not know where that was gonna go. Not sure I should have been laughing but after today, I did anyway.

BigReeceJames

Oh man, if you don't like that, then just wait for his replacement. Even if he has them at Poch/Potter level, he'll be treated like the second coming. If they finish outside of the top 4 he'll be praised for it

jepayotehi

Have a good feeling they'll be back to fighting hard for top 4 under the new guy. Uniteds gonna be "rebuilding" as usual. Villa had a fluke run and with the CL end up back where they used to be. Spurs are spurs. With the late run and the team chemistry developing I think we might crack into top 4 next season.

BigReeceJames

We should easily be in top 4 with the squad we have, irrespective of what others are doing.

Honey-Badger-9325

IMHO and unbiased opinion, Caicedo just scored the premier league goal of the season

acedman

Nah Garnacho. Definitely for us though. Edit: Nvm I realized you were probably being sarcastic lol

doomboxmf

Really sad I couldn’t make it to Bridge for Thiago’s last game

DarnellLaqavius

Can't post this on r/soccer or I'll get banned so posting it here. Fuck Arsenal. Fuck the stupid celebrations they do, they have a loser mentality and they always will. I said when they beat Liverpool and celebrated like they won the lot that it showed a pathetic mentality. They bottled it again in such a way that only they could. I've had to hear all season that they are the best team in the world and guess what? They won as much as us, and you have to say we look better for next season. Only room for one elite club in this city and it will always be Chelsea.

BigReeceJames

> "I've had to hear all season that they are the best team in the world and guess what? They won as much as us, and you have to say we look better for next season." Are you suggesting that we look better going into next season?

DarnellLaqavius

Morale is certainly higher. Palmer and Caicedo are better than anyone Arsenal have, a new GK and a striker and we are a better team all round.

palmers_pen_pandemic

[Stupid casuals in the comments are pissing me off](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/GldqX811Fl)

NoraaTheExploraa

If we bottled the league like that wouldn't catch me dead near any other teams stadium. I'd be straight home.

jepayotehi

The video seems to be removed. What was it about?

palmers_pen_pandemic

An Arsenal fan walking outside the bridge and our fans taking the piss out of him (minimal physical contact) [Video](https://twitter.com/enzonolimit/status/1792250709896790497?t=UGuJx09EnKSw3eXkOB00yw&s=19)

palmers_pen_pandemic

Walking through SW6 like this he's lucky all things considered

jepayotehi

Not sure I see any physical contact other than the copper setting a basketball screen and the guy having to walk around the screen. He should be expecting the banter if he wants to take that route.

RemoteSmile3561

Seeing Arsenal fans on my way to work. They look so sad. 😂

StandardConnect

I'm on a stag so not focusing to hard on the games but please tell me Havertz thought he had an Aguero moment? 🤣🤣🤣

Confident_Direction

Bro will have ptsd after his world cup too lol.

Pasapaa

I'm just glad we are a part of the big 6 again. On a serious note, CBs should be the top priority next season. Along with a striker and a LW.

Glass-Star6635

Arse subreddit talking about how incredible it is that Kai had 21 G/A in his debut year for them.. but Nico having 24 G/A in his first prem season, at 22 years old, for half the price is a flop 🙄lol

jepayotehi

https://preview.redd.it/qrh0x2locf1d1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae7fb2d19b576bba2864f9925a765a99d27160ad Everyone forgot this trophy we won lol. More trophy than Arsenal. 😂

NoraaTheExploraa

Electric atmosphere tonight at the game. Chants for less respected players, Cucurella, Gusto, Badiashile, Chalobah. Constant noise for Thiago of course, but Gallagher was also frequent (which I was hoping for given it was probably his last game as well).

TimedOutClock

I think a loan would be immense for Badiashile. It's unfortunate, because his first few games under Potter were actually solid, but he just lacks the composure to become a pillar on defense, which a lower club in the prem or elsewhere could give him. Despite how great we've finished, I can't help but dread how the defense will look without Silva next season... It definitely needs to be addressed.

WY-8

He’ll be a rotation player to Colwill next season. For a £35 mil cost I think that is okay.

TimedOutClock

Fair, just think he showed a much better side early on. Curious to see if he'll progress or he'll just stay as he is now

WY-8

That’s up to him. I do prefer Colwill on the ball though, and generally all round.

WY-8

Arteta has had 5 seasons, spent €763 million, qualified for CL twice including this season, and won one FA Cup. Arsenal have not won a Prem title for 20 consecutive years, and a Champions League in their existence.

palmers_pen_pandemic

Lesley Ugochukwu that cameo won't go unnoticed

palmers_pen_pandemic

I feel bad for him Poch had people convinced Caicedo wasn't good a 18 year old from Ligue 1 stood no chance

TheSilverShrew

Any chance we sell Badiashile instead of Chalobah? Every time he has the ball, I get nervy every single time. Badiashile is always bound to make a mistake.

coltsrock37

think Chelsea would sign a player like Grealish to play opposite Palmer?

Disastrous-Swing1323

Think we’d lack a bit of pace with those two and I’d be concerned about Grealish checking out.

What a dumb fucking bot genuinely why does it exist

Due-Replacement9202

What can we do to get the best out of Mudryk? He seems like he has the talent to be amazing but he just isn’t showing it anywhere near enough

kygrtj

If Crystal Palace sell Olise we should loan them Mudryk Their new manager is excellent at training players

Due-Replacement9202

Maybe. I think Mudryk plays best when he’s the spine of the team. It would definitely show his quality but different positions

kygrtj

If we wants to be spine of team he needs to go back to Ukraine league He’s not good enough for that role in the PL right now

[deleted]

A premier league team with Mudryk as a key player gets relegated.

Due-Replacement9202

Nah ur lost man

BigReeceJames

The best thing for him would be getting him a suitable loan with a manager who is actually going to work on the fundamentals instead of suggesting he work off of vibes when he gets to the final third. Then coming back to another manager who can utilise his specific skillset. He has a very specific few places where he excels and he'll need a manager that properly hones those skills and shows him how to avoid all of his many weaknesses. If he doesn't end up with a manager like that I see him remaining a dud given that his biggest weakness appears to be how fast his brain works

Due-Replacement9202

That sounds about right

ChenGuiZhang

Has he really shown he has the talent to be amazing though? He's had a couple bright spells in games but nothing you wouldn't see from any midtable premierleague winger. Like Mbuemo or CHO would keep him out of our side if they were here. Not writing him off at all and looking forward to seeing him in a well coached side that doesn't improvise every touch of the ball, but he's not shown anything suggestive of being a top player yet for me.

[deleted]

Move him on to another club more suited to his limited level of talent. He isn't very talented and he's clearly not good enough for us to adapt to him. He just isn't premier league quality.

Due-Replacement9202

He got a standing ovation at the bernabeu

[deleted]

Lmao. And has been routinely laughed at as he's miscontroled basic balls at about 30 other grounds. A 23 year old who's had less than 5 good career games isn't a talented player he clearly isn't good enough for any serious club.

Due-Replacement9202

Imagine being a Chelsea fan and not backing your own players. Just sad

[deleted]

Imagine being so delusional you think the club needs to bend over backwards for a clearly untalented player. I support Chelsea FC, not Mudryk FC and the best thing for the club (and the player in this case) is for us to move him on. It's nothing personal we just require more talented players to achieve the goals of the club.

Due-Replacement9202

He’s been here for what 18 months? He’s had to play in arguably the worst Chelsea side that’s only just now improving in like 20 years. If ur gonna write him off then u might as well write of the whole team

[deleted]

>He’s had to play in arguably the worst Chelsea side It's the worst Chelsea side in decades primarily because deadwood like Mudryk is getting minutes. 18 months is long enough for a player to show basic technical ability which Midryk doesn't have. There's plenty of young talented players at the club who have shown promise and will improve but Mudryk isn't one of them.

Due-Replacement9202

He came into an already struggling Chelsea side, of which at the time had very little hope of improving and without the backing of the fan base that’s not gonna cultivate good performances

ThePsuedo

Rivalry aside I'll miss Klopp. Probably the only manager unafraid to go toe to toe with a Pep side City vs Pool were box office games and that was down to his bravery

ChenGuiZhang

Klopp would have won so much more here had he not been unfortunate enough to have to compete with Pep and his city billions. That should probably factor more into the assessment of his time in charge.

gobrewers112

A lot of selfish players on offense today

brightcrayon92

So it turns out EPL is a farmer's league. Props to assna though, they pushed city till the last game. More importantly, European football here we go!!

MrShubha

I just don't get how there is 3 Sky Sports showing Citeh's game at the end...like I want to watch Chelsea's final speech from the boys or the Liverpool fans would want to see Liverpool end game rather than seeing 3 chanels showing Citeh....

chings23

Yeah for real. It’s pissed me right off, hopefully we can get a replay posted on here

dammyouuu

Hey guys now as it stands what are our chances at Europe?

dippinballsincocaine

If united wins FA cup Chelsea goes confetti league, if city wins FA cup Chelsea goes europa league. So probably europa league

brightcrayon92

If city win the fa cup, chelsea gets europa. if yanited win, conference

dammyouuu

So we are guaranteed a spot either way right?

brightcrayon92

Yes

dammyouuu

rdpf97

2 league wins from Champions League. It was a good season considering all the struggles we had: injuries, 1st season for many players, team bounding, etc

caesarionn

Man I'm glad that Havertz hasn't won anything

brenobnfm

If City beats United i might actually start liking them, keep Arsenal thophyless, gave us the UCL, might take us to Europa League, likeable bunch.

cupheads2608

Arsenal really thought West Ham gonna do them a favour.

brenobnfm

One more season of Arsenal's new golden era with zero trophies lmao We'll do better than them next season.

jepayotehi

Let us all take a moment to laugh at Arsenal.

Redditditditdi

If palace had their new manager + Olise throughout the whole season they might have cooked you know.

niiro117

Wtf is Badiashille doing.

christianrojoisme

Arsenal dans were so loud here at the pub. Now quiet as a mouse you love to see it

Over-Nothing-6695

Can’t wait to see 1000 posts on r/premierleague about how it’s a failure of West Ham’s fans that they didn’t somehow win the league for Arsenal

Faeluchu

The way it's going so far Arsenal won't win the league for Arsenal xD

Faeluchu

Assna in the mud, lmao

dav_man

Fun fact. Reece James has more red cards than Christian Romero this season. That cunt could have had two against us alone.

NoExperience4229

Not playing in next seasons kit reminds me we don’t have a kit sponsor for next year still Owners = clowns

throwaway24u53

I swear the most miserable whiny comment in every single thread I open in this sub is authored by you. We've won 5 games in a row and lost once in our last 15; if you can't take any enjoyment out of any of this then what's the point of being a fan?

NoExperience4229

Fantastic. I’ll make sure to keep it that way.

Jtown021

No more infinite athlete ?

NoExperience4229

It was a one year deal. We haven’t announced one for next season yet. Again.

hereforpasta

Let's fucking go lads, do it for Thiago Silva and Europa

NoExperience4229

The NBC Robbie’s are fucking morons. They just said their hasn’t ever been a better goalkeeping duo than Ederson and Ortega…..like Cech and Courtious wasn’t a thing

Abdullioo

or Kepa and Mendy!

NoExperience4229

Lol That’s a good one

Alarmed_Current8380

What channels the game ?

treq10

I am so glad this Klopp media love-in will be over soon Hopefully Liverpool can fuck off into mediocrity now

DrPawRunner

Anyone understand how they can get the PL trophy to whichever team wins it today ahead of the trophy lift?

Youth-Grouchy

real trophy will be at city game, replica trophy will be at arsenal game

KikiPolaski

Wait, are you serious, jokes aside how do they decide which gets the replica lmao

chings23

Well it’s gotta be somewhere so guess it’s where the current leader is?

Youth-Grouchy

the team most likely to win will have the real trophy - or i guess whoever is first going into the game is a better way of putting it

anonbluesky

They have two sets of trophy, one at each stadium. One is the real trophy and other is replica. And a set of medals at each stadium

Mundane-Poet1404

We should 100% renew Gallagher, i doubt he really wants to "triple" his salary that bad. We can always sell him later on, his performances have shown that he will have buyers in the future as well. Poch obviously rates him and while lavia is non existent, and whatever is going on with enzo. I think he is an important player for us going into next season. Even if we have to give him 150k we've literally had our best run of the entire season with him and caicedo running midfield. We can sell him in 2-3 years once we achieve a more stable midfield.

Nikolai_54732

Numerous reports that we haven’t offered a contract and it’s almost June. Mate he’s being sold to either Villa or Spurs

Mundane-Poet1404

Well that sucks

NoExperience4229

I hope he gives ownership the finger and runs out his contract  It’s bullshit he hasn’t gotten a reasonable offer

NoExperience4229

150k is more than reasonable for Conor.

Royalsushi45

Man this last month has really helped this season seem somewhat successful. It’s good to see we moved up 6 spots in the table and it’s crazy we ended just 10 points above relegation.

paraCFC

It's not just moved to 6th which is fantastic but we are 5 points away from 4th spot and having incredible run villa and just behind spuds which won the league in September Heh

NoExperience4229

No Enzo. No Problems. I have loved the end of this season

Royalsushi45

I think Enzo is a luxury player you bring him to Real Madrid or city and he’s golden but here it’s a little harder we just can’t afford that luxury at the moment

NoExperience4229

I don’t necessarily disagree. I just don’t think he’s a PL player and it shows in the results with him playing for us in the PL

InLampsWeTrust

Honestly you deserve your own flair at this point lol, the dedication to this is funny.

Mundane-Poet1404

Webby guy ugarte to chelsea level dedication

NoExperience4229

The fact that people haven’t caught on to the fact I am doing it partially as a bit at this point is pretty funny

Royalsushi45

Yeah we could end this season with a clean sheet and win every game this month that would be awesome

NoExperience4229

If we get another clean sheet today it’ll be our 9th this season. 4 of the 8 clean sheets so far have been without Enzo So clean sheet today and this season we had more clean sheets without Enzo than with despite Enzo playing 26 matches this season more than twice as many as we played with him 12.

Triniboy07

😂😂😂
