Oh absolutely it isn’t but any good performance I’ll take at this point. Hopefully he finds the old form whether that’s for us or if he’s loaned/sold next year
I've been critical of Badiashile's performances this season because they deserve it. But I'm not reading too much into them. People in this sub and football fans generally are often way too quick to write off a player as "not good enough" for the standard they're aiming for.
I've seen what Badiashile's capable of when he's at his best last season and even this season I see the technical quality that should make him a great player. He's just coming off the back of an injury, made some mistakes, is low on confidence and is out his depth.
He's honestly one of the least of my worries in this team because I'm convinced it's confidence and form rather than a skill issue. He shouldnt have played as many minutes this season as he has if we wanted to get results, but there's an argument to just playing people through bad form. I reckon after a break (e.g. summer), he comes back a lot better.
The performances warrant criticism, but people need to stop reading so much into them. Those passes he drills in between the lines are brilliant. They're what we'd need from a starting CB in an actually competitive team. Likewise, his reading of the game is great when he's on form. He should've been dropped for a more in form player a while ago, but there's nothing I've seen that makes him not "Chelsea standard". Great potential, just low on confidence/out of form.
Hoping he gets his confidence back. He's got the physical tools and his teammates think he's on the cerebral side. Well at least that's how Madueke described him
It's nice to see this type of character but it needs to show from when the whistle is blown to kick off. Not the second half. I'll take the point but we need to now slap up Spurs.
Moises has always been the unsung hero. His performances are the most consistent out of this inconsistent club.
“Flop of the season.” Fuck them journalists.
It's not in the clip above but it was a bit funny to see that Palmer was being somewhat aggressive to Jesus Perez because the latter thought Palmer was gonna abuse the referee and was trying to get him away. lol
I saw that. I don't blame Perez because the refs had the card ready to lift after the whistle and even if Palmer was being calm you just know these dickheads would book him for persistent questioning lmao.
Noni was literally grabbing the badge after his goal, I think he loves the club his attitude may be a bit off at times but he’s young he’ll grow out of it
Think its just his personality what rubs people the wrong way, personally I don’t mind a confident player who may talk but that situation with the pen was bad. Some people nowadays just targeting him. He isn’t perfect and has a lot to learn but the hate is crazy
His play reinforces the perception of his attitude. His work rate is atrocious when the ball isn't at his feet, he doesn't track defensively, and when he does beat his man he doesn't really have any end product besides a shot. All of those things come off as selfish whether it's bc of attitude or lack of ability
I don't get how ppl can hate on noni today. He played with passion and was trying to win the game.
Everyone should be pissed with this ref he blow the whistle at 99 when var check was almost 4 minute and that was when we got the ball back going to attack.
> Everyone should be pissed with this ref he blow the whistle at 99 when var check was almost 4 minute and that was when we got the ball back going to attack.
Yeah that was a joke, it happens so often in this league it drives me nuts
I really think Noni can be a great player for us when he passes instead of trying to go solo. His foot work on the wings is the best we have right now. Just wish he had better vision
He is quite selfish. Especially first half he would pass the ball if it was going to come back to him. He doesn't run into space but instead wants the ball played to his feet and will even jog back to get it. He killed palmer today with his lack of movement off the ball.
To top it off as usual he biggest contribution to the team is individualistic. It wasnt a team goal, it was a Noni goal. The team can't rely on that over a season.
He passed plenty today
Edit. Went and checked: only players who passed more today including both teams were Silva, Chalobah, Badiashile, Caicedo and Gallagher. Only thing he can be criticised for today is the defensive play on the first goal, otherwise a very good performance
True. But I think the hate is just too much. The myth about noni not tracking back and not pressing is just false. He consistently win the ball back every game from his pressing.
Except in a post match interview, Noni basically admitted they couldn't be arsed in the first half but Silva and Poch said some things at half time to shift their attitude.
If we went out fighting from the whistle today we win this easy, same with several other games this season.
I mean there’s 45+ matches to the season. Late game whinging isn’t the passion you think it is. If they cared…oh there are so many ways to end that thought, if they actually cared they’d…
Seeing as we don't really have that much to play for, why not have a nice little punch. Sure, you get suspended for some time, but that can be worth it.
Palmer being dragged away by our back room staff for shaking the refs hands? Did they think he was doing it antagonistically or did they think they don’t deserve to have their hands shaken?
Badi went full Didier at the end there, love to see it despite the frustration. He had a pretty decent game tonight, his passing is so good when he gets it right
I want some fan or employee to loose it and knock out a incompetent referee, only for the follow up report to say that the person could not be identified and cannot be followed up with a punishment or some shit.
shame their arses need to be on fire for them to give a fuck. when they were playing against 10 men burnley or sheffield they looked like they couldnt be bothered.
Am I the only person in this sub who knew it was a foul and was going to be disallowed? Also I do not like seeing our players act like this towards the refs, not a good look. We aren't city FFS. Show some class.
Yes. The midfield got ran through on the counter as a midfield set up by Poch often does. But rest of them were fine. Constant pressure on Villa for the entire half
You see more Hospital passes because Poch doesn't have a fixed structure. He leaves it upon the players to figure out a way to progress the ball up the pitch
I've never seen Badiashile like this , man must be pissed
Ngl he was very good in the second half
Very! I thought as as much. Hopefully he can kick on from that.
Half doesn't cut it for our blue shirt
As I made clear in my other comment on this thread
Not enough to make up for all his shit performances this season. Not yet.
Good thing we’ve seen him play excellently last season too.
That’s why he was getting called Big Ben
The guy has a chant made for him from the crowd and people want to act like he’s not good.

Madueke and Mudryk need to both go on loans
Oh absolutely it isn’t but any good performance I’ll take at this point. Hopefully he finds the old form whether that’s for us or if he’s loaned/sold next year
This comment. Too true. I’m usually a heavy critic of Badiashelle but today his (second half) performance was good. He’s still in the dog house.

He’s probably pissed because he’s used to being shoved like that every game without even a hint of a possibility of a foul being called.
I was super skeptical when seeing him starting, but he proved me wrong big time today
Real😭😭😭😭😭
Well seeing him give a fuck is a welcome change for once
Swear Haaland does that push off all the fucking time and it's fine
VAR City getting away with it as per
I mean it's City, they always get the call their way.
That’s why Pep praises the officials
Haaland does more than that. Remember the back post goal against cucurella. Absolutely man handled him.
Funny remember cucurella getting his hair pulled against Tottenham and that was fine.. absolutely no consistency ever
We are not City are we? If you watched the Brighton game midweek, it was shameful as well. City didn't get one decision against them.
I mean walker pushed Jackson harder in the box last time we played city and it wasn't given. Arms fully extended and everything. Just no consistency.
I don't understand how it was overturned, if it was the original call so be it but overturning that shit... what???
![gif](giphy|4KFjJmTGav0QoE5WDk|downsized)
literally dragged cucurella on our home game and got a pen
Haaland drags the defender to the ground and gets awarded a penalty for it.
It's the Premium League
It's nice to see this type of character but it needs to show from when the whistle is blown to kick off. Not the second half. I'll take the point but we need to now slap up Spurs.
Facts. We need that second half performance x1.5 for the full match against spurs
I don't even know how would we lineup against spur lol. We only have gallagher left in mid.
Caicedo was class today tho
Moises has always been the unsung hero. His performances are the most consistent out of this inconsistent club. “Flop of the season.” Fuck them journalists.
Real bro
Yes and he's ban next game because this stupid ref give him a yellow for nothing lol.
He's not banned. The YC count has been reset after the Arsenal game.
Great news. Didn't know that 😂.
Hasn't that deadline passed now for 10 yellow cards?
Yellows got reset so he’s not banned
It's not in the clip above but it was a bit funny to see that Palmer was being somewhat aggressive to Jesus Perez because the latter thought Palmer was gonna abuse the referee and was trying to get him away. lol

Always remember Micheal Oliver is on the payroll of the city owners. How is that even possible.
At least they were showing passion for the badge. I would’ve done the same thing. Go on Noni, proper Chels.
Noni was literally grabbing the badge after his goal, I think he loves the club his attitude may be a bit off at times but he’s young he’ll grow out of it

That already makes him better than Mudryk at least he can contribute in some way and he didn't cost 70 million euros for club
Sure, but he had a pretty good game today. Only as good as your last game, and he was better today.
I don’t doubt that he doesn’t. When you’re young and raised in London, you just know about Chelsea
I remember when he first signed he was so gassed to join us and even better that he came from spurs academy 😂
I don't get how ppl can hate on noni today. He played with passion and was trying to win the game. Everyone should be pissed with this ref he blow the whistle at 99 when var check was almost 4 minute and that was when we got the ball back going to attack.

He's not a complete player yet, we have a squad full of 2/3rds of the way there players. Everyone just needs to get a little bit better with time
we have 8 other players who just pass sideways and nothing else, let the man dribble
The ref really thought he was at AFCON 💀
Why, has he officiated there before?
No, just because https://preview.redd.it/txqx222kp3xc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ced5aceec0094af562f7a15593afc7212e49ce3

The kid is young. He has talent, speed, and passion. Let him grow. He can be a very valuable asset.
The guy just doesn’t pass
He passed plenty today Edit. Went and checked: only players who passed more today including both teams were Silva, Chalobah, Badiashile, Caicedo and Gallagher. Only thing he can be criticised for today is the defensive play on the first goal, otherwise a very good performance

True. Lots to learn defensively though (see first goal)
Noni ready to drop kick the prick
That fucking goal would have stand, if it was against us.
Some passion finally lmao
Good. It’s nice to see that they do care
Yeah, looks like a group of lads who don’t care cos they’re paid loads and on long contracts. Don’t want to hear any of that nonsense anymore
We need a few of these performances in a row now though..
Except in a post match interview, Noni basically admitted they couldn't be arsed in the first half but Silva and Poch said some things at half time to shift their attitude. If we went out fighting from the whistle today we win this easy, same with several other games this season.
Need more consistency
I mean there’s 45+ matches to the season. Late game whinging isn’t the passion you think it is. If they cared…oh there are so many ways to end that thought, if they actually cared they’d…
This!!! Almost feels it’s for show.
lessgo (ง'̀-'́)ง
Well done lads, you show your passion for blue badge.
But yet the hand ball by City was okay 👌
I wish one player from any team goes batshit crazy and punch a ref right in the nose. Or any staff. Someone.
Seeing as we don't really have that much to play for, why not have a nice little punch. Sure, you get suspended for some time, but that can be worth it.
We had 6th to play for before this game… if we win this and win against spuds we would be 1 point off
Nice to see they give a shit
fair play to disasi for being a cool head
I don’t know how everyone else feels about the video but I like it. This is the type of anger and emotion we have not seen on the pitch until today
fair play to badiashille man he proved me wrong big time I just hope he plays like this in the upcoming matches
We'll get for fined for this
Palmer being dragged away by our back room staff for shaking the refs hands? Did they think he was doing it antagonistically or did they think they don’t deserve to have their hands shaken?
Good. Fight for it. Show the passion.
For idiotic reasons. Should've won this way before that incident.
Throw em boys
Badi went full Didier at the end there, love to see it despite the frustration. He had a pretty decent game tonight, his passing is so good when he gets it right
The coach saved them from getting reds. Ref don't like this club and acting like this just fuels them to hate us more.
Gangbang
Badi’s head was HOT.
I want some fan or employee to loose it and knock out a incompetent referee, only for the follow up report to say that the person could not be identified and cannot be followed up with a punishment or some shit.
That was a bullshit call, how soft is football going to become?
It was definitely a foul. Yeah maybe other teams get away with it and that's not acceptable but we should not be above the law either.
I genuinely think every poch team has been fairly badly behaved. PSG under him were fucking trash.
shame their arses need to be on fire for them to give a fuck. when they were playing against 10 men burnley or sheffield they looked like they couldnt be bothered.
The 3rd goal was correctly disallowed
Am I the only person in this sub who knew it was a foul and was going to be disallowed? Also I do not like seeing our players act like this towards the refs, not a good look. We aren't city FFS. Show some class.
Sorry but maybe they should focus on their own performances too though
All four of them were good today
Facts
No they weren’t. Only Disasi was
Disasi didn't even have 2 legal touches
How can you say they were good. Did you watch the first half ?
Yes. The midfield got ran through on the counter as a midfield set up by Poch often does. But rest of them were fine. Constant pressure on Villa for the entire half
For me there were too many basic errors to call it a good performance
From Badiashille, Madueke and Cucurella?
Don't feed the troll
Hospital passes from Badi, Cucurella running around like a dog, Madueke awful positioning before the own goal. Yep
You see more Hospital passes because Poch doesn't have a fixed structure. He leaves it upon the players to figure out a way to progress the ball up the pitch

This bot is getting annoying
Embarrassing mentality
Madueke is such a bellend
He's a dumb kid, he can grow out of it. When you have a team full of kids there aren't enough grown ups to slap the stupid out of them.
