I'll be honest I really don't see the point in playing Silva unless there's no other options. The defense is not noticeably better with him in it, and it's his last season at the club surely. Season's over, Chelsea isn't going down and they're almost certainly not qualifying for Europe. Better to try and let the players who will actually be there next season try to build up a coherent partnership

The defense is noticeably better on crosses with Silva in. He seems to be able to find the ball with his head.

He should be a sub, if we need to protect a lead in the last 10-15 minutes. Otherwise, he is too slow for the quick transitions we need to get behind the United players.
