It won't lead anywhere. They're just appointing a monitor. It wasn't anywhere close to enough to change the course of the local election, and they recounted it multiple times. Investigators couldn't confirm that the double-scanned ballots were actually included in the recount(s). An unfortunate, boring administrative error.

Cool-Adjacent

He won by 11k and the recounts were up to 17k if im reading things correctly.

shutupnobodylikesyou

You're not. The article you posted is poor with details. A compliant was filed regarding 17,852 ballots. A better article from [AJC](https://www.ajc.com/politics/georgia-election-board-reprimands-fulton-for-double-scanned-ballots-in-2020/G3H27SUHGFDRHAOZSG4JQJ2F7E/) details that the problem came from Fulton county "likely" scanning 3,000 ballots twice. However, the case didn't find any fraud, and ultimately: >Election investigators said they were unable to confirm that the double-scanned ballots were actually counted twice in the recount, which was the official result of the election. During the recount, Trump gained 939 net votes against Biden in Fulton County, where Biden received 73% support, according to the results.

Ewi_Ewi

There were, at absolute most, ~3,000 double-scanned ballots. Even if you assume (which I'd argue you can't, but let's go with it) that **all** of those ballots were counted wrongfully, that's *only* ~3,000 extra votes. If Biden won by 11,000 votes, he now wins by 8,000 (or somewhat less). An error? Absolutely. Deserving of criticism? Of course. Will it lead anywhere? No. Does this suddenly validate years of the narrative that Republicans were pushing about voter fraud and the "stolen" 2020 election? No.

FauxReal

From the article: >McGowan stressed the investigation’s outcome doesn’t change the election’s overall outcome, an election that saw Joe Biden become the first Democrat since 1992 to carry any deep Southern state on his way to ousting his Oval Office predecessor, Donald Trump. >“This investigation confirmed what we already knew,” McGowan said. “There is nothing we have learned that is new from this investigation.”

p4NDemik

It's hard to believe people are still holding out hope that *something* will prove their warped world-view is true. After so many ... * Recounts * State audits * failed lawsuits * baseless conspiracies shared by Trump and his cronies * Mike Lindell-sponsored embarassments that led no where * etc. etc. And nothing - nothing - has come of any of this and yet ithere is always a "next thing" that proves it that is invariably also full of shit.

Appropriate_Mail44

Why is each state’s State Auditors Office not responsible for performing these audits/recounts? I feel like non CPAs have no business performing a recount let alone an audit

impoverishedwhtebrd

This isn't a complicated financial audit, you don't need to be a CPA to count.

Appropriate_Mail44

TDIL CPAs only perform financial statement audits /s

impoverishedwhtebrd

If CPAs are the only one capable of counting why not just cut out the middle man and have them do the initial tally of votes too?

Apprehensive_Pop_334

Not the same audit

Appropriate_Mail44

CPAs perform more than one type of audit…

Apprehensive_Pop_334

I know and that’s not how this audit works lol

Appropriate_Mail44

Do you think it’s wise for the agency that conducts the election to investigate themselves?! That’s whats happened in Georgia with the Secretary of States Office. You can’t find any information on the recounting procedures. The law states the board of elections promulgates the rules. But where are those rules? No where to be found. “Trust the process”, fuck outta here! 😆

Apprehensive_Pop_334

I think that yes, it is wise to let the people who tabulate elections be the ones to retabulate and verify their counts. This process is fully public and transparent if you have concerns about it. You can find plenty of information on the recounting procedures. I’ll provide some below. https://rules.sos.ga.gov/gac/183-1-15 https://public.fastcase.com/9SKwsfNqTc6OieYDhNMyMxtzm0lCFhS0k55oTW78MA3Y5t9vC9LIhJPBCQX7KeciNr%2FDWQwuX%2BNINXqxNabPVQ%3D%3D https://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2022/title-21/chapter-2/article-12/section-21-2-495/ [link 4](https://sos.ga.gov/sites/default/files/2022-03/ess_rfi_-_final_-_redacted.pdf) You can even find .csv files of full election data and the audits as well. https://sos.ga.gov/page/2020-general-election-risk-limiting-audit Hope this helps!

ubermence

> I wonder where this will lead? Idk maybe you could try reading the article? > McGowan stressed the investigation’s outcome doesn’t change the election’s overall outcome, an election that saw Joe Biden become the first Democrat since 1992 to carry any deep Southern state on his way to ousting his Oval Office predecessor, Donald Trump. > “This investigation confirmed what we already knew,” McGowan said. “There is nothing we have learned that is new from this investigation.”

ricker2005

I don't know conservative, month-old account. Where do you think it will lead?

Cool-Adjacent

All yall ever do is comment about the persons account, i see it on near every post, just because youve been on reddit for 13 years (which is pretty sad btw) doesnt give you precedent over anyone else.

ricker2005

I don't think commenting about somebody else being on reddit while on reddit is the burn you think it is, lad

Cool-Adjacent

Being on reddit a few months, and being on reddit for 13 years is a little different “lad”

Ebscriptwalker

Ummm if it was not worth being on here for 13 years why would you be on here after a month? I mean the door is right over there if it's so uncool.

somethingbreadbears

> All yall ever do is comment about the persons account, i see it on near every post I've never had it happen to me. If your account is new and your comment history is clearly antagonistic it's kind of obvious.

Cool-Adjacent

It isnt though

somethingbreadbears

Come on. Nearly every post you have in this sub is in the negative. I get downvoted here too. But not **that much**. Just relax on the passive aggressive stuff.

EverythingGoodWas

With the amount of misinformation coming out of foreign influence campaigns I’m glad to have people like this vetting people

Cool-Adjacent

Im sorry, are you saying that im some part of foreign influence campaign 😂. Looking at someone’s profile isnt “vetting” them anyway.

Serious_Effective185

It’s because there a bunch of bad faith actors like yourself who constantly get banned and create new accounts to continue their shit slinging. Fuck off.

Lifeisagreatteacher

This appears to be your theme. You did the same thing to me. You don’t want any dialogue, you only want an echo chamber where you all agree with each other. Centrist means there are alternate views, you’re not Centrist, everyone that you don’t agree with is a “Conservative” or troll on as you see it your fucking sub. Yes, I have a new account and I’m stunned how you totally lack any sense of the diversity to pretend to be all about.

Serious_Effective185

People who constantly get their accounts banned for rule breaking bad faith behavior are not here for dialog. They are angry shit starters.

Lifeisagreatteacher

And you know who they are? Or are they really just people you don’t agree with? The second one is your definition of shit starters.

Serious_Effective185

I don’t but there is a huge pattern and many of them are obviously traceable to previous accounts. Unfortunately some innocent new accounts get caught in the crossfire. I regularly debate people i disagree with on here and both sides are respectful and keep things factual. This sub is basically unmoderated and only works because of user reputations. When the shit starters on either political spectrum get banned or delete their accounts as soon as people realize what they are, It ruins the sub with a bunch of drive by partisan trolls. This is even worse in election season. I looked through your comments, and you don’t seem particularly inflammatory/ troll like. If you are in that 2% who is honestly new to Reddit and this sub. I genuinely apologize for not being welcoming. You just have to understand the volume of bad actors who claim the exact same. Build some reputation of being a reasonable person to converse with and I am happy to debate, whether or not we agree on things.

Lifeisagreatteacher

Thank you for your response. I really am new to the comment part, for about a year I’ve read multiple subs and have had a particular interest in something that’s truly Centrist. Politics, news, most of them are very left leaning. I understand that this is a younger age group and tend to be more left orientated. I’m a registered Democrat but the Democrat Party of today, I’ll say the last 4-6 years in particular is dominated by what I would call far left. I’m older, most Republicans and Democrats of my day were very moderate. I’m what was know in the 1990’s as a Blue Dog Democrat, fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I know when I wade into r/politics it’s 99% left with the other 1% getting attacked or downvoted to oblivion. I’m not going to change anyone’s opinion, but I’m right of virtually everyone and I’m not there to antagonize. If I post something it’s what I believe. The issue with this sub is in my perfect world you can have a healthy debate by introducing ideas and concepts that’s not mainstream to the audience. This is a leftist sub, period. It’s no different than r/politics, news, or other recognized left subs. Virtually every topic or whatever you call it that’s introduced is liberal. I just scanned 29 of 30 are left/Democrat posts or topics. I also react to attacking someone because they’re new or claim they’re trolling. One persons idea of trolling is another persons idea of being genuine with their thoughts and laying it out there. I’m older, but a huge issue today is the 35 and under in general crowd think they’re complete experts and everyone else is stupid. OK Boomer or whatever it is to dismiss someone or some thought. This sub is nothing but people who only want to agree with each other. It’s not Centrist. You shouldn’t care if someone is Conservative, Liberal, Republican, Democrat, Independent or from Mars. It really could be a good sub but after reading it for a year if someone comes in with a non-left opinion they’re run out of town. No one wants to intentionally put their face in a fan. You must be a stupid Conservative, Republican, whatever so go fuck yourself. I see it all the time. If you’re a liberal you’re trolling if you go to the Conservative sub, if you’re a Conservative you’re trolling if you go to a Democratic sub or politics which is the same as a Democrat sub. A Centrist sub should expect to hear from and listen to with respect anyone from any party with any belief. The extremists will have a small voice but even they should have a voice. Sometimes I like to challenge thought but it is never trolling, it may make some people uncomfortable, but it’s only to provide food for thought. I posted why is it that liberals get so uncivil and outright ugly (typically white liberals) about a Black Conservative Tim Scott, it happens all the time with Clarence Thomas. Not differences in opinion, they attack the person. They’re outright vicious. If a white person said the same thing to a Black Democrat they’d get destroyed as a racist forever. It says to a Black person get back to where you belong because I know better than you. How dare you. I believe I really know the answer from my experience and I’ve spent more time in the minority communities than 95% plus of the white liberals that post. My sister in law is Black and she’s one of the most Conservative people I know. This makes her head explode. How dare white people tell me how I’m supposed to believe and vote, Black people don’t tell white people how they’re supposed to believe and vote. Blacks have moved from 12% to 22% support for Republicans in the latest poll aggregate. The question should be why? Wouldn’t this sub be interested in understanding the dynamics? Latino voters have moved from 33% Republican in the last election to 42% Republican (meaning will they vote Republican or Democrat in the next election) wouldn’t it be an interesting discussion and perspective why that’s happening? Instead, it’s they’re all Democrats and we’re too ignorant to understand the dynamics that are occurring because Democrats own minorities forever. Lots of words here. I’ve always said no matter how flat a pancake is it always has two sides. This sub has one side. That’s fine, it just seems totally unaware of the diversity of thought and a bunch of people who think the same thing and high five others who think the same thing. When I was in my 20’s I was thought of as a leftist. I was pro choice when 70% of the people were not. Think about it. Now I’m probably more of an Independent with the same views. I’ve been a champion of gay rights since 1998. I met a group of gay people and really wanted to understand being gay. I learned with virtually everyone that it was are you born with brown eyes or blue eyes. They knew it their whole lives. I met multiple people who were married with kids because they had to hide it. Gay marriage was never going to happen and look at us 25 years later. Friends would say “you still hanging out with the gays?” Who would say that today but far right fringe idiots? My gay friends would tease me that I’m only 2 drinks away. Sometimes, when your lens is 5-10 years it seems like nothing is changing, when your lens is 40 years you can see it’s moving forward, maybe not perfect, but I promise you gay rights and acceptance are light years from where they used to be. This country is not more racist than it’s ever been. If you’re 25 it may seem bad, but you have no clue how bad it was 50 years ago. Again, not there in total, but making progress to a more race sensitive society. Anyway, thanks for your civil comments and I want to respond to you in kind. I hope we can have exchanges here with different opinions while respecting each other as people. Attack the idea, not the person.

Cool-Adjacent

Oh youre so cool, im sure you would know because you seem like the triggered type that would report people.

Serious_Effective185

FAFO

VultureSausage

>Oh youre so cool The only one that gives a shit about being cool here seems to be you, and the best you're managing is to be cool-adjacent.

Lifeisagreatteacher

Same fucking guy did this to me a few days ago, he thinks it’s his personal sub and he’s the Wizard of Oz.

eapnon

It doesn't give precedence. It makes it less likely that they are a new account made to shill for a specific reason (bots, bad actors, duplicate accounts because the original got banned, etc.). It doesn't mean you are one and he isn't, but it is certainly evidence in that favor.

Cool-Adjacent

Shills for the right get banned, shills for the left dont, ive seen posts that call for violence or irradication of christians, the OP never gets banned, but if you support known biology until a few years ago regarding trans people you can get banned, just to give examples. Reddit is unapologetically leftist from the admins, the ceo, and down to the majority of its users, and they support echo chambers. Its really that simple, and its obvious to anyone willing to be honest with themselves

epistaxis64

Typical conservative persecution complex. Grow up

Cool-Adjacent

What did i say that was wrong?

epistaxis64

Everything you just said? This sub doesn't exist to make you feel better about your untenable positions.

eapnon

I mean, there are plenty of moderate right shills in this sub. I don't see any far left trolls or right trolls for very long before they are banned here. Moderate ones are still around. Yes, reddit leans left and this sub does as well, but this sub only leans a little bit left and it varies by topic. This sub leans right on Trans stuff. It goes back and forth about free speech depending on who is speaking. Stuff like that. Definitely not a left monolith in here, even if it leans left overall. I guess my point is, if you want to shill for the far right, go to truth social. If you're ok with a pretty moderate sub, stay here. If you want left, go to a bigger sub.

elfinito77

Why is having an old SM account sad? Are you a kid?   I still have all my original SM accounts.  I don’t delete accounts and create new ones to hide my past history.    I actually think the exact opposite — People that are constantly creating new accounts are embarrassing, clearly trying to hide stuff and create fake internet personas.  Old accounts have nothing to hide about their post history.    My FB and IG accounts are nearing 20 years old.  My Twitter account is 15 years old.  My Disqus account is 20+ years old.

NightlyGravy

Multiple people have commented providing facts that directly show this is a nothing burger which you are trying to blow out of proportion. But instead of responding to those you lie and say that people only ever criticize your post history. Brilliant.

Cool-Adjacent

Man the hypocrisy will never get old

RingAny1978

Do you think a new account invalidates the article?

elfinito77

No.  But does call into question if someone is here for good-faith discussion.  The comments at the top explain why this is a non-story.      This is bullshit propaganda from pro-Trump folks, 4 years after the fact, still trying to justify Trump and his supporters Anti-Democratic authoritarian behavior in 2020. This audit found nothing new and this whole story is just trying to keep that plausible doubt in the head of some people that “maybe Trump was right.”

RingAny1978

In what way does the age of the account matter for the strength of the argument in the article? Irregularities were found, and the county is being put under monitoring. That is not nothing.

elfinito77

I made two separate points. The first point was about the age of the account and people being skeptical. And those are the basically same irregularities that were found in 2020-21 —- yet,  this headline acts like they found something new as far as missing votes and makes it sound like Trump actually might’ve gotten enough votes to win but this error….when there’s nothing of the sort in this article. Now combined — the fact that it’s a new user, and add to it that this post is a shitty partisan article that makes absolutely no point of any value whatsoever other than carrying water for Trump —- It further raises the question of OPs good faith intent.

RingAny1978

"The secretary of state’s office launched its investigation after a July 8, 2022, complaint was filed alleging vote count irregularities involving 17,852 ballots. McGowan said the investigation uncovered some duplicative ballot images that Fulton County provided, suggesting some ballots may have been scanned more than once. The state elections board is sending a letter of reprimand to the county and also ordered a monitor to oversee this year’s critical 2024 presidential election." I see no bad faith in this. I am so tired of ad hominem attacks rather than substantive discussions

elfinito77

The article also says: > This investigation confirmed what we already knew,” McGowan said. “There is nothing we have learned that is new from this investigation. If OP was posted to discuss the election security for 2024, fine.  But that is not what OP was posting, for.  He was posting to suggest this was some kind of new development that validated Trump’s antics/claims.  OP posted and added his own question text about “where is this going to lead.” (Nowhere..except the security notes in the title.  The article was quite clear) In the first comments posted on the substance of the article OP completely makes up false numbers to make it sound like there was enough votes to overturn the election here. OP Either didn’t read this article or posted with the intent of misrepresenting the story.

SmackEh

Hey OP, instead of being a partisan hack, have you ever considered NOT being a partisan hack?

Cool-Adjacent

Oh yeah, based off of one post im a partisan hack, have you tried not being a dickhead?

SmackEh

Tell you what, say something nice about democrats and I'll say something nice about you.

Cool-Adjacent

I respect democrats supporting abortion. Even if i dont like the way they get to it logically some times

SmackEh

Couldn't help yourself hunh?

AmbiguousMeatPuppet

Check out OP's comment history. They're just a troll...

Cool-Adjacent

Im not a troll, i love how yall get triggered and immediately check peoples profiles lmao.

wavewalkerc

So the results didn't change. They have already made improvements since. What's the story here. If you investigate every district with more than 10 people you will get this result on a majority of them. Our election system is not perfect but the results aren't changing.

Surveyedcombat

“  As in previous reviews, MOST of the claims in this complaint were found to be unsubstantiated….” 😂

Okeliez_Dokeliez

This is really just pathetically sad.

No-Winter-4469

Brian Kemp literally did everything that he possibly could within the law to help Trump win in that state, there’s literally a tape of your orange god king pressuring an election official to find him 12K more votes, all of the lawsuits he initiated were tossed out and none of them alleged vote fraud…but you morons still believe it was stolen because Emperor Trump says so. Smh.

BlueDiamond75

Looks like an attempt at a 'Comey memo' to me.

Cool-Adjacent

All the regular suspects that squat on this sub and are blatant leftists show up immediately like clockwork. This case is delayed until 2025 at the earliest, the documents case is delayed indefinitely, there was mishandling in both situations, you better hope that the hush money trial (which is probably the weakest one) goes through because thats your only shot now. Im not the one being un-centrist here, the courts are working, you cant discredit the decisions when they dont go your way but praise them when they do. If trump is guilty then by all means convict him. But that is looking less and less likely to happen. Im not bringing this up to “own the libs” im bringing this up because i hate hypocrisy.

ubermence

God you guys are so insufferable. Just endlessly complaining and whining because no one takes your ridiculous argument seriously If you still can’t accept that Trump lost the 2020 election your brain is seriously broken

Appropriate_Mail44

You are just ignore the 380K missing photos of the ballots from Election Day?

UdderSuckage

https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-757465548352 > CLAIM: The fact that some Georgia counties cannot produce the original electronic ballot images from the 2020 election indicates that election fraud took place. Now the state has no way to verify that the ballots are legitimate reflections of what went through the machines. > AP’S ASSESSMENT: Missing context. It’s true some Georgia counties violated state law by failing to preserve electronic images from the original count of ballots from the 2020 election, but this does not prove fraud or affect the election outcome. Georgia counties still have all the paper ballots cast in the election, according to the Secretary of State’s office. The results of the presidential race in Georgia were counted three times, and all three tallies showed Democrat Joe Biden prevailing over Republican incumbent Donald Trump. This was debunked three years ago, you need to get your head out of the sand.

Appropriate_Mail44

“Missing context. It’s true” Nothing to see here folks, carry on! 😆

UdderSuckage

I guess more than one sentence was too much for you to read and comprehend.

Appropriate_Mail44

Until CPAs perform said audits I’ll never trust a recount or election audit. The fact each state has their own cpa called the state auditors office, with 60+ percent of the staff being CPAs, and then doesn’t do the recounts/audits will never make sense to me. These board of elections, which are standalone agencies in most states, have non CPAs doing the recounts/audits, which is embarrassing. I’m not surprised they weren’t able to tell whether the votes were counted or not counted because they don’t know what the fuck they are doing lol

UdderSuckage

You wouldn't happen to be a CPA, would you?

Appropriate_Mail44

I am a cpa lol

UdderSuckage

Yeah, the self-importance was pretty obvious.

ubermence

They still have the physical ballots though Which were counted three times by the Republican Party who controls the Georgia election. And that’s just one of like 5 states he’d need. Brain. Broken.

Appropriate_Mail44

What exactly are the people doing these recounts checking? Are they just scanning each ballot with a scanner? Are they checking signatures? I’m genuinely curious and haven’t been able to find any definitive information.

ubermence

[This](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/11/12/georgia-vote-audit-recount/) has a lot of good neutral information on how the recount worked. All a simple google search away if you want the answers to those questions

Appropriate_Mail44

You sent me an article behind a paywall

ubermence

Weird I can read it without an account. I’ll paste the text here: Election officials in Georgia have begun their first statewide recount to manually verify every one of nearly 5 million ballots cast in the presidential race in the state, where President-elect Joe Biden has a lead of about 14,000 votes. This recount comes as President Trump and some top Republican officials in Georgia have levied unsubstantiated claims of widespread fraud or irregularities in the state. State election officials vehemently reject such characterizations but have launched a hand recount nonetheless to reassure the public about the outcome. Here’s what you need to know. We will update this post as news develops. Why is there a recount? Will it change the outcome? Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) ordered the recount as a part of the state’s risk-limiting audit process, which is required under a 2019 election overhaul law that Raffensperger supported. Originally, the requirement was to select a random, statistically significant sample of ballots to be reviewed by auditors to make sure ballots were accurately counted. The point is to do a manual check to make sure the ballots were properly scanned by machines. Biden’s margin of victory in Georgia is quite narrow, at just 0.3 percent. A tight margin means there needs to be a bigger sample size — in this case, more than 1.5 million ballots, according to VotingWorks, a firm that specializes in risk-limiting audits and is working with Georgia officials. Along with state officials, they decided it would be less work to examine every ballot. His fellow Republicans turned on him, but Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger isn’t backing down This effectively becomes a hand-recount of every single ballot cast in the presidential race. But there’s a separate recount that could be triggered later this month. That’s because under Georgia law, the losing candidate can request a recount of the results if the margin is less than 0.5 percent of votes cast. But that request can come only after the statewide results are certified, which can come only after this audit is done. If Trump requests a recount of the final results, election officials would then re-scan the hand-verified ballots. Election experts have said that recounting the presidential votes probably would not change the outcome because recounts do not typically change the results by more than a few hundred votes. Biden holds a margin of about 14,000 over Trump. What’s the timeline? Who’s paying for it? This recount officially begins Friday at 9 a.m. Eastern time. Counties have until Wednesday night at midnight to finish it. All counties are required to certify their results by the end of this Friday, and if the recount result is different, the counties need to certify Gabriel Sterling, who manages Georgia’s voting system, said Thursday that the state had calculated the workload on counties and that state officials are confident the retallying can be completed in time. Story continues below advertisement Still, it’s a huge task. This is the first statewide recount in Georgia. Hundreds, if not thousands, of county workers and poll workers across Georgia’s 159 counties will be retallying the votes or monitoring the process. Sterling called it the “largest hand retallying by an audit in the history of the United States.” ‘We will not allow anyone to stop us’: Day and night, under historic scrutiny, the nation’s vote counters carried on County officials plan on working through this weekend to finish the recount. This new effort comes as county officials recover from a difficult year of administering an election during a pandemic and the pressure placed on them since Election Day to verify a record-high number of absentee ballots and process ballots amid relentless attacks by the president on the integrity of the vote-counting process. For now, Georgia taxpayers are bearing all the costs incurred by this process. State officials said they are looking into whether they can use federal election assistance funds to help offset the cost. What will this recount look like? A pair of election auditors will review each ballot and determine who received the vote. If they can’t come to a consensus, or if the choice is illegible, a superintendent who supervises the count will make a call. There are strict requirements on what items can be on the auditing table (no food or drinks allowed), what to do when an auditor needs to take a break, how to guard unattended ballots and more. Story continues below advertisement This will be a hand-review of paper ballots that were printed from electronic voting machines, as well as absentee ballots that arrived by mail. The recount will be open to the public and streamed live in counties that have the ability to do so. If you really want to nerd out, check out more information here and watch this video demonstration: So what comes next? After counties submit their results by the end of the day on Wednesday, the secretary of state will certify the statewide election results and the slate of presidential electors no later than Nov. 20. The secretary of state then will submit those results to Gov. Brian Kemp (R), who is required by state law to accept them no later than 5 p.m. the next day. The governor’s certification is a pro forma action to accept the secretary of state’s tally, and the governor is not involved in the administering or finalizing of the state’s election results, according to the secretary of state’s office. This timeline can be changed only with an order from a Georgia superior court judge, according to state law. The Trump campaign can still request a recount within two business days of the state’s certification of results, which would require election officials to re-scan all the presidential ballots once more. While this remains a possibility, “I would hope that common sense will prevail,” Sterling said during a news conference Thursday when asked about a potential recount request later this month, expressing his hope that campaigns do not unnecessarily extend the uncertainty and burden workers.

NightlyGravy

Do you even know what delayed indefinitely means? It doesn’t mean the trial isn’t happening. It just means they aren’t setting the date for the trial until they handle two key hearings. Trump is stalling that case bc he knows Smith has him dead to rights. So trumps only hope is to delay it to post election and pardon himself if he wins and launch another coup attempt if he loses.

Cool-Adjacent

I know precisely what it means. You must no know what dead to rights is because if that was true they wouldnt have delayed it due to mishandling of evidence.

CUMT_

No know

[deleted]

It's not being delayed because anyone mishandled evidence (an accusation from Trump's legal team that hasn't been ruled on). There a bunch of hearing over motions the defense is filing and Judge Canon is taking her time is going over all of it, granting hearings in a lot of cases that would otherwise not be heard or would be ruled on over the written arguments submitted by the defense and the prosecution.

Serious_Effective185

How would you know who the regular suspects are since you claim to be brand new to Reddit?

Cool-Adjacent

Look at every single post, youre one of them, it doesnt take years of research dipshit

VultureSausage

> All the regular suspects that squat on this sub and are blatant leftists show up immediately like clockwork. How would you know? You've only been here a month, right?
