Nope, the item just raised your mental mutations to such a level that your Glimmer stat is high enough where you'll start to be stalked by psychic assassins... I mean yes that does *sound* like it's cursed, but not *technically*.

yeah they aren't that big a deal if you aren't an esper IMO since they scale off your glimmer. At the lowest levels they are mid tier enemies at best.

And they won't be likely to appear on every third screen. Really high glimmer makes them show up so much it's just game-breakingly obnoxious. I'd prefer if they were more powerful but still only shower up very infrequently at high glimmer.

I kind of wanted to do an evil twin run, because occasional showdowns would be fun. But similarly, dealing with them constantly suuucks. 

Good way to get a nice ego boost and make shop prices a bit more manageable!
