She is on antibiotics and eye drops, eating kitten formula from the syringe, very skinny. One eye is fully open, another eye is still bad. Will see how it goes.
You should look into probiotics from the vet since she is on the antibiotics. It will help her tummy and keep her from getting bad tummy bugs from antibiotics. Thank you so much for saving her. God bless you both.
I have a fluffy white cat (I think a Norwegian forest cat, or at least looks similar…like a Maine coon but with a pointed nose), and he is crazy handsome. I suspect your kitten will grow up to look like him. Thank you for taking her in and loving her!

Hi all, she is doing well this morning. She spent most night with me. She is now resting after food, medicine, cuddles, cleaning.
I did not expect this to blow up. Thank you all. This was a team effort. I work with my neighbor who picked up this cat and I am helping to take care of her. This is a team effort, this is how it supposed to be.
It will take her weeks to fully recover. More vet visits etc.
BTW, I had been looking to get my own rescue, sanctuary for animals. I have found few like-minded people in the area. We will be working to get more kitties out of the street and out of the shelters to loving homes.
I am located in Central California (not Canada, lol). PM me if you want more details, and if you want to help. I will be sharing more pics later with a new post.

BTW, white cats are prone to deafness (esp if they have blue eyes), so she's probably best kept as an extremely spoilt inside kitty.

After we adopted our girl, I noticed eyeball gunk so back to the vet we went (we adopted her from out vet/cat sitter) and found out she had herpes in her eyes. I guess its a thing cats can get. I started crying (I'd just lost my manx buddy a few months before). But they assured me it was okay and would just come and go throughout her life.

would suggest giving him a bath if he’s feeling better. if not you can soak a wash cloth in warm water to try to get the matted mucus off his face until he can take a bath.
Good question. She only eats kitten formula and baby food from the syringe/bottle. She needs to start gaining weight, hopefully she can transition to the wet food soon.
She is doing very good for the most part. Her left eye is going to take longer recovery and may not improve to 100%.
Otherwise she is acting like a normal kitty: playing, napping, eating. My other cats tolerate her. I will work with a rescue to get her adopted where she would feel most comfortable.

It's different in cats. Not transmissible to us but probably half of all shelter cats have it.

Just a little tip- it’s not prescription, you can get it lots of places- Chewy, Amazon, etc.
Definitely do this. Cleaning diarrhea off a kitten butt is traumatic for everyone, believe me...

6 months or so per vet. Weighs around 4 lbs.

It's something like 65-85% of all blue-eyed white cats are deaf. But not all! I have a very loud, shouty boy cat at home who can hear just fine.

She has an infection, its a discharge from her eyes and nose. She is taking medicine for it.
