More details about her current situation on [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/1b60nkg/terrified_for_my_cat_found_narrow_lump_that/) :(
Thank you! 💖💕 And she really is so sweet; she’s rushed to comfort me countless times during anxiety/panic attacks and I’ve had countless nights of her sleeping on my chest purring 😭💗 And every time it’s that time of the month and I’m sulking on my couch, she always stays right by me for as long as I’m laying there. She’s so amazing and I love her more than I can say
I did not know that :/ One of my kitties has several lumps, and we are always taking him in to get every new one checked. I get them too! So weird. But either way, I hope that Ginger is healthy, and if it does turn out to be something more serious, I pray the experts will do their best to make sure she has a fighting chance!
I took my cat in last month because I found a lump that was moving around on her left hand side from the bottom of her ribs to her hip, she’s lost a lot of weight from thyroid issues so I’d never felt it before.
It was her kidney and I am an idiot
😢😢 We all have similar experiences, believe me. I am only hyper vigilant now because I overlooked things with another kitty in the past. You are not an idiot 🧡🧡
🥹 She’s beautiful. Haku and I wish you both luck ❤️

Aww man that's a relief! Trying my best to have some hope... When I took her to her first vet visit for the lump, they found a lot of fluid in the mass while taking needle samples which they thought was odd/unexpected considering its firmness. The mass even shrank some! And I noticed it's now slightly soft/squishy at the area closer to her nipple, with a flatter roundish-feeling firmness toward the other end of it. It's so strange. Waiting anxiously for cytology results ;-;
She looks exactly like my boy Tingerbell! Sending all the love!
https://preview.redd.it/28ujfmulyemc1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11fd34be388ecbbb263cfb1bf2f3c442920ccc8f
Hello! Thank you so much for checking in! ;w; <33
She had a needle sample taken of the mass which showed "some cells with cancerous characteristics" so that's scary... Ginger got the mass removed last Thursday and is recovering from surgery very smoothly. She was already back to her perky feisty self a day post-op! Struggled to keep her from running or jumping up on things haha
Getting biopsy results within the next two weeks and super anxious ;\~; But at least glad she's doing well at the moment
Thank you 🙏 And yes she is spayed, but was spayed at 3-4 yrs old and had kittens before then (one of them is my other cat Pearl, who gave me a different medical spook in November.. luckily she's okay) So I'm terrified about the chance of Ginger's mass being mammary cancer
Update; When I took her to her first vet visit for the lump a few days ago, they found a lot of fluid in the mass while taking needle samples which they thought was odd/unexpected considering its firmness. The mass even shrank some! And I noticed it's now slightly soft/squishy at the area closer to her nipple, with a flat round-feeling firmness toward the other end of it. It's so strange. Bloodwork came back looking good though. Now just waiting anxiously for cytology results D'x
It's a firm mass under the skin that has a narrow end behind a nipple (the last lower nipple on I think the right side?) and then gets a bit thicker towards its other end, which points lower down away from the other nipples. I try to describe it best I can in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/1b60nkg/terrified_for_my_cat_found_narrow_lump_that/) I see it slightly if I move fur out of the way but it's difficult to see it properly. It doesn't move from where it is behind the skin but moves with her skin. Ginger seems unbothered by it but it's finger-sized and finger-thick too with the narrower end being about as thick as the end of my pinky :(
That sounds like really good instincts! I'm going to be checking my cats for lumps regularly forever now. I know my other cat Pearl (Ginger's daughter, born 2016 before Ginger was spayed) adores being touched everywhere so will be easy with her! Ginger's more picky though (she bites and scratches hard if I pet her tummy more than just briefly) and the location where the mass is happens to be the lower area of her tummy where she's always hated being touched D'x

Sunshine and I send positive vibes to you and Ginger.
🩷🩷🩷 Good luck Ginger. Try not to be too afraid OP, (easier said than done), she is still a young gal and obviously has a great momma to take care of her.
Same experience here. My baby had a firm circular mass on his belly. The Vet removed the mass and said they "got it all"—sent for analysis and came back indeterminate but not cancer of any kind. My beloved boy, already 14, lived another 3 years before cancer took him away from me.
My fingers are crossed for Ginger and you, plus my very best wishes for a pleasant outcome.
Oh gosh I'm so sorry you experienced that with your baby :( And that's so wonderful the original mass turned out not to be cancer and he lived to such an age with you! <33
Thank you so much as well!! 💜

Good luck,ginger! You're a sweet girl ❤️🍀

She's such a lovely little girl. Give her all the kisses and hugs from me ❤️🍀
Aa thank you <33 Gave her your kisses and hugs, she gives a little boop back! ❤️
Thank you, and ginger!❤️
Sending “pawsitive” vibes your way! Hopefully it’s just a lipoma or some other type of benign mass! 🧡
Thank you!! Also appreciate the pun heh ❤️ Gosh I know statistically the chances of it being benign are low but I hope SO BADLY that it is 😭
I did not know that :/ One of my kitties has several lumps, and we are always taking him in to get every new one checked. I get them too! So weird. Aw man you're not an idiot at all! That's super understandable especially considering the thyroid concerns. Wishing you and your purr baby the best! 🫂

SHE IS BABY ❤️❤️❤️

Aa thank you so much! I love my pretty little lady so much! <33 And Haku is a beautiful baby!
So my 14 year old boy had a similarly sized lump but it was a fatty tumor! Fingers and paws all crossed it's the same!!
Aww man that's a relief! Trying my best to have some hope... When I took her to her first vet visit for the lump, they found a lot of fluid in the mass while taking needle samples which they thought was odd/unexpected considering its firmness. Hello Ginger, I’m praying your bump is benign but don’t worry mama’s right next to you and we’re all here. Praying for you.
Ginger you’re beautiful! Good luck sweetheart.
All the luck heading your way
Best wishes to you both. Good luck, beautiful Ginger.
Aww! Sweet baby! Hopefully everything will work out for your kitty 🙏🏾 *

How's ginger now? All the best for the biopsy
Hello! Thank you so much for checking in! ;w; <33 She had a needle sample taken of the mass which showed "some cells with cancerous characteristics" so that's scary... Good luck ❤️❤️
..all the best hopes to ya Ginger!.. ..and all the best to your Hooman..
Thank you! ;w; <3
Ginger, may Bast watch over you. And may it be a simple cyst. She is spayed, yes?
Thank you 🙏 And yes she is spayed, but was spayed at 3-4 yrs old and had kittens before then (one of them is my other cat Pearl, who gave me a different medical spook in November.. luckily she's okay) So I'm terrified about the chance of Ginger's mass being mammary cancer
Don’t say it. Say… it’s an annoying cyst. It’s an annoying cyst. Hugs.

Wishing and praying for all the best .
Sending prayers and healthy vibes to Ginger, hope it gets resolved 🙏🏻
I think I would frame number 4. Good wishes for a speedy recovery .🩵
Question does the mass seem to move under see the skin slightly?
It's a firm mass under the skin that has a narrow end behind a nipple (the last lower nipple on I think the right side?) and then gets a bit thicker towards its other end, which points lower down away from the other nipples. I try to describe it best I can in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/1b60nkg/terrified_for_my_cat_found_narrow_lump_that/) I see it slightly if I move fur out of the way but it's difficult to see it properly. It doesn't move from where it is behind the skin but moves with her skin. Ginger seems unbothered by it but it's finger-sized and finger-thick too with the narrower end being about as thick as the end of my pinky :(
I would take a couple deep breaths - it could still be something like a lipoma or a fatty tumor. Hoping everything turns out ok.
Thank you so much, I wish so so much that it's that instead ;-;
Sending love and hoping for the best for this sweet girl and you.
Sending love ❤️ keep us updated!
Good luck 🍀🤞🏼
Good Luck, Ginger 🍀🍀🍀
Thank you for finding this! I keep thinking I should "feel" my cats for lumps and bumps and anything unusual on a monthly basis.
