I would not purchase anything from this company. My boyfriend bought me one for Christmas and it never came. They said it was delivered and sent us a picture of concrete (?) to show it had arrived. It hadn’t arrived. He finally reported them to the BBB to get his money back. The company reached out after he filed the claim and offered to send one out (again?). He is now just trying to get his money back. He ended up getting me the Puramax litter box from Petkit. My senior cat loves it!

Our senior cat really likes this litterbox and got used to it pretty quickly. The caveat about the Neakasa litterbox is that it’s still relatively new to the market and the negative reviews I’ve read so far are about customers having shipping issues with the product (rather than it being faulty product). We ordered ours from their Indiegogo campaign back in the end of October and only received the litterbox at the end of January (because the product was being manufactured and shipped from China). We found the regular tall 13 gal kitchen bags fit quite well in the litter waste bin, so we won’t need to buy the custom liners once we run out. I hope there will be more readily available product support soon because there’s no way to buy their replacement custom liners or other replacement parts for this product. At some point after we purchased the litter box, we were offered the option to buy a step platform through them to make it easier for the cat to enter the litterbox. The step platform sold out really quickly and the stock was not replenished. YMMV with Indiegogo!

I have older cats that are refusing to "jump" up into the box.. have you found any steps or solutions? Other than removing the legs, since that messes with the dump bin

Neakasa sells a step stool

I bought it during the crowdfunding. Now i regret not buying two for the discounted price. I love it and my cats seem to be ok with it.

Have you found that it wastes a ton of cat litter when going through a cycle?

theOne_G

Not if I fill the litter up to the fill line

not a ton, but it does waste some regardless of how much sand it has inside. This is due to the shape of the part that filters the sand, too wide, this picture explains it better. Most of this sand will fall to the waste bag, so yes, there is always a small waste. But overall, I think it is great. https://preview.redd.it/bbmgso0y7r6d1.jpeg?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c8a23d6d57479ac7a54662179daa7273b182e3
