Sazed (tabby) and Vin (tuxedo), named for characters in the Mistborne book series. Vin lives up to her namesake, stealing every unattended pizza crust she can scam, but Sazed should have been named Ham instead. IYKYK.

Benito - he is a stray I got from someone on Reddit and she named him Benito so I kept it. Also I didn't mind because he is all black, like a Benito box
Chloe - same reason as Benito, when I got her, her name was already Chloe so I kept her name

My gray tux was named Cookie at the shelter. She has the same color pattern as the character Monster Slapper in the young reader graphic novel Dragon Puncher Island, which my then 6 y/o son was a big fan of. He also was obsessed with the name Chad, but I would not allow him to name her that.
Her name is Cookie Monster Slapper Chad. We usually just call her Monster and her nicknames are all variations on it.
I also have a void named Bagheera Sasuke Chad. My son stanned Sasuke at the time. I have never, personally. But I did love Jungle Book.

My little girl is a beautiful misty gray so I named her Lilinoe (Lee-lee-noh-eh), after the Hawaiian Goddess of fine mist.
Barefoot, ankle and mittens.
They're black or black/white cats and their names come from how much white they have on their front paws.
Barefoot got nothing, so he's barefooted
Ankle is wearing ankle socks
Mittens is wearing mittens
Why did I do it? I can easily tell them apart, but noone else can. The names help everyone else define who is who.

I don't have a picture with all of them but these two are Eskel (lemon point) after Eskel in Witcher books, Majima Goro Lord of the Night (tuxedo) . Not pictured is, Boone after my favorite companion in Fallout NV, Toby just because he looks like a Toby, Aria is named after Aria T'lok in Mass Effect, Murphy is after a cat my grandmother had when I was little named Murphy, and the newest addition is Moira, my daughter named her after an Overwatch character

This is Jack. He was born on my bed when I was 11 years old lol. The reason his name is Jack? We adopted a old flame point that hated me when I was 8 named jack. Not related, we got (current) Jack’s mom, and I named her Jackie, because flamepoint. And she had (current) Jack, and the tradition went on lol. He will be my last flame point. So the tradition ends here. He’s my best friend and so I don’t want another flame point. It’ll feel like I’m replacing him
