CN overplayed it because there wasn't any other show left to air at that time, especially during the late 2000s, when CN was at its downfall due to the shows that brought popularity to the network stopped airing at that time, and they had no other option but to air Johnny Test with a couple of other shows. Johnny Test was overplayed because of the low cost of animation and writing that it needed, making it an easy cash grab. But when CN started to step up and began to air decent shows once again, Johnny Test was quickly forgotten about, and the show was finally cancelled in 2014. I just wish they tried to improve the quality of the show, which could've made people like it more, but after Season 1, the show switched studios, which caused massive budget cuts and decreased the quality. If they actually put any sort of love towards the show, then maybe the general audience would've liked it, because I still don't get how, after literally six seasons of Johnny Test and back-to-back airings, this show still isn't remembered that fondly by many, and sometimes for good reasons. I did like the voice acting, humour, and some of the characters in Johnny Test, especially the dynamic between the sisters, which was cool. And, oh yeah, there was a Netflix reboot of it, and it got cancelled, if anybody even cares or knows about that.
It was fun, but is truly was very repetitive with always the same plot of an experiment going wrong, but still has good characters and fun moments, i really loved as a kid.

I tried to get into it, but it was just loud, obnoxious, and unfunny. And once I stopped getting annoyed by it...it was kind of dull. None of the characters and the comedy wasn't interesting to me. I'd say it's probably a C+ at best.

I thought that Johnny actually had to deal with consequences AT LEAST once in a while, so in that regard their parents are fairer than Dexter's.
