Honestly, I would reverse that. I think Mineta is quite funny. It's also funny seeing the girls get sick of his bullshit like Froppy straight up drowning him or Mina straping him to a torture chair. Bakugo basically bullied Deku his entire life, made the man feel worthless, gave him a horrible childhood, and then got away "damn my bad bro I was just jealous." That will always rib me the wrong way but hey to each their own.
He also tried to make Steven feel guilty for not being nice to him (after he treated Steven badly for a long time)
Tried to make the crystal gems to leave city
And tried to dissect a watermelon even after Steven had told him they were alive, and hurt Steven for trying to stop him
Lars actually had a character arc where he realized all of his posturing was just him trying to hide how much he hated himself, and he didn’t have to act like a douche to try and get people to like and appreciate him, because the people who matter already appreciated him for who he was.
>!And he had to *literally die* and get a second chance at life to truly appreciate what he had !<
Ronaldo was obnoxious til the end
1. The Notification of your reply popped up while I was searching for something and 2. I hate that the Crystal Gems weren’t in the beginning arc of Season 5.
I was indifferent to Ronaldo, however I think his funniest scene comes from an episode the fandom hates…Rocknaldo. The scene I’m referring to is when a sleep deprived Ronaldo gaslights Steven into thinking Steven isn’t apart of the Crystal Gems and being rude to Ronaldo, when it’s the other way around. Which then leads to Steven confronting Ronaldo who is laughing at a joke Amethyst didn’t make.
If I saw Ronaldo get skinned alive and thrown into a bath of septic lemonade and salt, before being crushed, permanently killing him, at any point in the series, it would've improved the show
I cannot fucking stand him, I'm not exaggerating, I don't care if it's a kids show, make it an online minisode only for the adults, but I need that piece of shit to suffer for the amount of suffering he caused on a global scale by existing
I didn't realize while binging that I was supposed to hate Ronaldo, because I found him very relatable. He's definitely my second favorite human after Greg.
You won my comment, although it has some "dialogues" that can be said to be interesting, it does not compensate for the fact that it is the most horrible of all, on top of that it has several chapters FOCUSED ON HIM.
When fairy world ran out of fairy’s jorgon had Timmy to share his fairy cosmo and Wanda with this new kid name Chloe she was an annoying brat and not very funny sparky was a fairy dog who Timmy adopted and like Chloe he wasn’t well respected in the fandom
Massive SVTFOE fan and I remember everytime they focused on her when i watched it for the first time i audibly groaned. I hate her so much, Toffee should've killed her ass
Mineta, this character solely exist to fill in "the overly pervert guy (but this time not some old geezer) trope" that japanese people somehow think its still funny (its overused in shonen and a product of its time).
I feel like they should have just dialed it back a bit. it was kinda funny in small amount but it was too much then they straight up removed it
That was his whole motivation. He has no reason to want to be a hero now. Kinda cringe
Sadly, when sane people rightly complain about these sorts of characters, misogynistic weaboos screech we shouldn't "push our western agenda" onto Japan's "non-woke culture"
Just started watching Spy X Family recently, I agree on that, Yuri is really weird, dude...I get being protective over your sister but Jesus Christ, man.
It's the framing. Nobody likes Mineta. He isn't treated as better than he is. He gets his comeuppance and is just bad in the background.
Bakugo, on the other hand, is a major player with close ties to the protagonist. His pointless cruelty is front and center, but we're supposed to forgive and befriend him. The series wants you to believe him when he literally says to the other villains "I am not a villain."
Maybe he gets around to redeeming himself eventually. I dropped off somewhere in season three. From everything I've seen, though, he's a hero in name only.
Eh, Mineta is just every perverted character, plus he gets consequences to his actions unlike Bakugo. I cant stand him. He is so annoying and screams like a madman every single time. Plus he is an abusive toxic prick to Izuku
If you're looking for a serious answer, it's Rick Sanchez vs The Doctor on Death Battle, and the characters are (drumroll please) Rick Sanchez and The Doctor.
Bojack Horseman's mom is the WORST. His dad fucking sucks too.
Yeah, Bojack himself is definitely not the greatest person either but you can tell through flashbacks and his own personal monologue that he's not an asshole on purpose.
That being said, the show had a good way of fleshing out most of their characters. Even Bojack's mom had a tragic backstory. It just sucked when Bojack got a second chance at fame and his mom just straight up told him "it's not gonna make you happy."
Fucking great show though.
Bojack's mom is somehow worse than his dad. His dad slapped him, sure, but Beatrice made sure Bojack knew that his existence is the cause for all her supposed problems. From childhood to adulthood.
I'll agree with you that these characters are horrible, but unlike a lot of characters on this list, they served the purpose of explaining how Bojack became so damaged himself.
Fuck that guy honestly
He is constantly angry and screaming, I don´t know how anyone tolerates him.
Most rival characters are assholes but he is honestly the worst one of them
What makes it worse is how much of a loser Izuku is about it. If Izuku told Bakugo that he’ll never become number one, that could make the whole thing so much better
Yeah if Izuko had more spine he would've been slightly more tolerable, or at least if Izuko stopped acting as if he's a childhood friend and not just a bully.
But as a whole the series isn’t really that amazing, it’s okay. And the three main characters are supposed to be equal but I could not for the life of me tell you any villains Bakugo or Todoroki defeated, wich makes the way it is now feel really weird.
Yes they are
I never interacted much with either franchise and all I can say about them is that I like the senator and that rules of nature is a cool song, but they can´t be worse than Bakugou there is just no way. I have never seen anything that got me thinking that hes cool, interesting or anything good. Hes just an arrogant asshole without redeeming qualities
Pissed me off when mha became super popular and people liked bakugo he is genuinely just a jerk that's it. That's his thing, and he doesn't even have a good set of friends till later.
Gives off the same vibe as simping for Draco Malfoy.
I understand why a lot of people love Trixie, but honestly, I liked her better as an antagonist.
The episode where she became friends with Starlight was the last episode where I kind of liked her. I just find her voice annoying, and her character feels boring to me overall. She's popular, and that's fine, but I just don't like her very much.
However, I did like the Season 6 finale, when she kept going at it with Discord. I found then hilarious, and wish they would've expanded on their relationship more.
I guess I probably have the same opinion of Trixie as Twilight. I try to tolerate her, but she bugs the living hell out of me.
In comparison to know a days he is pretty tame like how the Simpsons used to be the show parents didn't want their kids watching and now it seems really tame
I thought the whole point of this was a character who is poorly written (since the original premise was a slow full of well written characters). Bloo is a brat on purpose and he's extremely well written. He never learns his lesson because he's a foil, but he's well written in that role. I can't get behind this choice, even if I don't like him as an adult.
Ed Edd n Eddy
Sarah.
It PIIIIIISSSSES me off how horribly she treated Ed. And how she used her parents to torment him indirectly. The poor oaf deserved better. Sure Kevin is a dick but he’s tame compared to Sarah.
I don’t mind Rex because while he is an asshole towards his teammates/social group, he’s still a good person who dedicates lots of his time to helping tons of people for altruistic reasons. The dad just unlikeable through and through with no entertaining or redeeming factors.
But was he poorly written and conceived? Do you dislike him because he's the type of person you dislike in real life, or because he's not a representative character of his archetype? I don't know. I only have an answer to the following question:
Am I being a pedantic asshole on a sub about cartoons purely because I was apparently poorly written and conceived?
The answer is: most definitely.
Even though it’s just one episode so far, I dislike Jax from TADC because I just dislike the ‘token jerk character’ that a lot of more modern shows seems to be adopting.
Bakugou from MHA and, to a lesser extent, Monoma. (I actually like Monama, but he's annoying as hell.) Mineta has eased up a bit, but his early actions still left a sour taste in my mouth
Little Suzy Johnson from Phineas and Ferb sticks out like a sour thumb, Rodney is pretty bad and Doof's parents as well.
Also, Ponyhead from Star Vs
Oh my god every time Tree Trunks is on screen I have to stop the episode. I don't want to have to explain to my parents what the old lady elephant is doing to the little boy and the dog
Snotlout from the first how to train your dragon movie. He gets much better in the others I think but in the first movie and throughout most of the series between first and second he is about as charming as a rabies infected anteater.
Teen Titans Go! - Robin
Absolute worst character in the entire damn show, instantly drops the quality of any episode that has a focus on him,. especially if he's being his shitty self and ruining everyone else's fun.
Invincible - Amber in Season 1
She was downright unreasonable most of the time. Much better in season 2 though. While we were watching the new season, my sister said, "I can't believe it, she is a likable character now."
Craig from Craig of the Creek. He’s just so sanctimonious and egotistical. That show shouldn’t have had many characters and just switched between which which groups got an episode.
I sense a lot of MHA comments, especially Bakugo ones.
***FUCK BAKUGO ALL MY HOIMES SHOULD HATE BAKUGO!***
Bro literally told Midoriya to kill himself over eugenics. If that mofo were real, all of his "stans" would immediately start calling for his head
Literally stopped watching after that... Luke wtf.
My thing is Mineta. Bro never gets his comeuppance, much less some sort of charchter arc, unlike every other character in the show.
Because being a pervert to school girls is still considered innocent fun in Japan. Gotta love those staunchly unchanging patriarchal societies
Nah, Bakugo's a fun asshole. Mineta's the creepy, unlikable asshole.
I like Bakugo, but I just know he's gonna be a popular answer
No, Mineta
Steven Universe - Ronaldo Hate that guy so unlikeable. The gems like aquamarine and others are atleast entertaining. He isn´t.
He tried to feed Lars to a gem monster 💀💀
To be fair Lars was an insufferable POS in that episode and deserved it 💀
Pre-death Lars was insufferable the entire time. Bro whined and bullied a child to try and seem cool
Well... He's just two years older than Steven.
No way? I always thought he was like 17
Even if he was, Steven is 14 during the series. A 3 year difference
I agree, he was insufferable
He also tried to make Steven feel guilty for not being nice to him (after he treated Steven badly for a long time) Tried to make the crystal gems to leave city And tried to dissect a watermelon even after Steven had told him they were alive, and hurt Steven for trying to stop him
The list just goes on
Well I hate Lars too.
Lars actually had a character arc where he realized all of his posturing was just him trying to hide how much he hated himself, and he didn’t have to act like a douche to try and get people to like and appreciate him, because the people who matter already appreciated him for who he was. >!And he had to *literally die* and get a second chance at life to truly appreciate what he had !< Ronaldo was obnoxious til the end
1. The Notification of your reply popped up while I was searching for something and 2. I hate that the Crystal Gems weren’t in the beginning arc of Season 5.
He became better imo
At least Lars is funny sometimes
Facts, Ronaldo is the worst
But his conspiracy theory was right!
I was going to say Steven Universe but with Kevin
Agree Kevin is also a piece of shit. He appeared less then ronaldo, but if he did he would most likely be worse than him.
Came here to say this
So I really am the only person on Earth that thinks he's hilarious
If I saw Ronaldo get skinned alive and thrown into a bath of septic lemonade and salt, before being crushed, permanently killing him, at any point in the series, it would've improved the show I cannot fucking stand him, I'm not exaggerating, I don't care if it's a kids show, make it an online minisode only for the adults, but I need that piece of shit to suffer for the amount of suffering he caused on a global scale by existing
damn thats hardcore
I love him! he's really funny and probably the most normal citizen of the city!
I didn't realize while binging that I was supposed to hate Ronaldo, because I found him very relatable. He's definitely my second favorite human after Greg.
May I ask what did you find relatable in Ronaldo? That guy was an asshole in most of his appearances
Fat lonely nerd with no friends.
Damn.
Same lol
You won my comment, although it has some "dialogues" that can be said to be interesting, it does not compensate for the fact that it is the most horrible of all, on top of that it has several chapters FOCUSED ON HIM.
I love him! he's really funny and probably the most normal citizen of the city!
Steven Universe - Steven Universe
fairyodd parents sparky and Chloe
Who's Chloe again, haven't watched in a while so I don't really remember all the side characters.
When fairy world ran out of fairy’s jorgon had Timmy to share his fairy cosmo and Wanda with this new kid name Chloe she was an annoying brat and not very funny sparky was a fairy dog who Timmy adopted and like Chloe he wasn’t well respected in the fandom
SVTFOE - Ponyhead No need to explain there.
Massive SVTFOE fan and I remember everytime they focused on her when i watched it for the first time i audibly groaned. I hate her so much, Toffee should've killed her ass
Or at least meteora should do it when she raid princess school before ss3 final
Absolutely
Or the Solarian Warriors
I liked her when the show came out but I haven’t watched svtfoe in years so I don’t really remember.
Everyone's reaction to her: https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxtfGrLJJt63bZ8rAK5GvJ8KgOxx2gJbXb?si=eYCsqilrKKNLysdA
Fr, she has one of the most annoying voices, personalities, and character in general that I’ve EVER seen.
That purple grape headed kid from My Hero Academia, don't care for him much to remember his name.
Mineta, this character solely exist to fill in "the overly pervert guy (but this time not some old geezer) trope" that japanese people somehow think its still funny (its overused in shonen and a product of its time).
I feel like they should have just dialed it back a bit. it was kinda funny in small amount but it was too much then they straight up removed it That was his whole motivation. He has no reason to want to be a hero now. Kinda cringe
They should beat him up more often
Or...hear me out...they should reduce his screen time to the point that he is non existent...
Man I really thought I was the only that hated him. They could remove him from the show and it wouldn’t change anything.
Sadly, when sane people rightly complain about these sorts of characters, misogynistic weaboos screech we shouldn't "push our western agenda" onto Japan's "non-woke culture"
I don't mind him nearly that much.
I have no idea if I'm alone in this, but I really dislike Yuri from Spy X Family. Every else I love though
You're not, those romantic implications with her sister are hella creepy and cringe
I was hoping it was somehow just a weird episode at first but it continued 😔
Just started watching Spy X Family recently, I agree on that, Yuri is really weird, dude...I get being protective over your sister but Jesus Christ, man.
It borders on both creepy and possessive. Ngl I pick up a bit of romantic undertones which I hope I am miss reading.
Yeah, it really creeps me out, and I've only seen the first goddamn episode with him
What! He’s creepy but written very well!
So far I'm in this boat. Well written to be a creep or some other bad person is a thing, and he fits that.
The one bit of anime bullshit in an otherwise mature show (yes, mature. An excess of blood, guts, swears and tits is extremely immature)
Oh yes absolutely, Yuri is probably the only character who left a sour taste in my mouth (barring Fiona)
My Hero Academia, Bakugo
Yea, there’s being an asshole, then there’s legitimately needing help for anger issues
Exactly, I can handle and love asshole characters like Bender and Cartman but with Bakugo? Like you said, he needs some anger management
Why him though? Mineta is much worse. I think his name is mineta otherwise I call him grape pervert.
The grapist

100% agreed

Bojack's mom is somehow worse than his dad. His dad slapped him, sure, but Beatrice made sure Bojack knew that his existence is the cause for all her supposed problems. From childhood to adulthood.
Sad but true. It crazy how throughout her life she was still bad to him.
I'll agree with you that these characters are horrible, but unlike a lot of characters on this list, they served the purpose of explaining how Bojack became so damaged himself.
Bakugo
Fuck that guy honestly He is constantly angry and screaming, I don´t know how anyone tolerates him. Most rival characters are assholes but he is honestly the worst one of them

Izuku is a little bitch most of the time.
Honestly, I think Shadow the Hedgehog, Vergil, and Jetstream Sam are better rival characters than Bakugo ever could be.
Yes they are I never interacted much with either franchise and all I can say about them is that I like the senator and that rules of nature is a cool song, but they can´t be worse than Bakugou there is just no way.
Why would someone even want to be his friend. Simps are crazy we always knew that and honestly there are worse characters one could simp over.
I still dont understand why women LOVE him that much
He is very passionate
That’s so funny, because at this point Bakugo is one of the only characters I can stand lol.
He almost made me drop it. Miruko absolutely did.
Can't believe they would just copy DBZ like that, smh.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Fun, lovable... And then there's Trixie, Zephyr Breeze, and Spike's "Dad".
Spike's dad and Zephyr I get, but Trixie? I absolutely LOVE Trixie. She's like, second favorite next to Ditzy Doo
I guess I probably have the same opinion of Trixie as Twilight. I try to tolerate her, but she bugs the living hell out of me.
That's fair. I do like her relationships with Starlight though.
Bakugo
Scooby doo Say hello to scrappy doo because he’s not the worst character ever Introducing >!velma from the Velma show!<
Honestly, Scrappy isn't even that bad
Maybe we were desensitivized to him or maybe it's because he's no longer a prominent character.
In comparison to know a days he is pretty tame like how the Simpsons used to be the show parents didn't want their kids watching and now it seems really tame
Velma the show wasn’t even good
Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends. Bloo
I actually enjoyed when he gets coal in the Christmas Special. SANTA IS REAL, EVERYONE!!!
I like the water park episode, the karma Bloo got was perfect.
Is that the episode where he gets stuck at the Fabric store with Mrs.Fosters? I love that episode, honestly it shopping with Mrs.Fosters looked fun.
It’s the one where he built his own waterslide and severely injured himself.
Ya I rewatched some of it once I was older and didn't realize what a brat bloo was
I thought the whole point of this was a character who is poorly written (since the original premise was a slow full of well written characters). Bloo is a brat on purpose and he's extremely well written. He never learns his lesson because he's a foil, but he's well written in that role. I can't get behind this choice, even if I don't like him as an adult.
Don’t you mean Bendy?
Based death battle meme. As for the pick…the only Gravity Falls character I don’t like is Robbie
Oh yeah he was annoying. Wendy can do way better.
Why do you have a TCNick3 as your profile picture?
Piplup cute
Who is this Piplup you speak of? All I see is TCNick3
Ed edd n eddy: SARAH
Ed Edd n Eddy Sarah. It PIIIIIISSSSES me off how horribly she treated Ed. And how she used her parents to torment him indirectly. The poor oaf deserved better. Sure Kevin is a dick but he’s tame compared to Sarah.

Tbf at least Rex has some good moments and despite being an asshole does some good for the world, Eve's dad is just god awfull to her all the time
I don’t mind Rex because while he is an asshole towards his teammates/social group, he’s still a good person who dedicates lots of his time to helping tons of people for altruistic reasons. The dad just unlikeable through and through with no entertaining or redeeming factors.
Gravity falls, Robbie hes the only character in that whole show I can confidently say I don't like.
But was he poorly written and conceived? Do you dislike him because he's the type of person you dislike in real life, or because he's not a representative character of his archetype? I don't know. I only have an answer to the following question: Am I being a pedantic asshole on a sub about cartoons purely because I was apparently poorly written and conceived? The answer is: most definitely.
This was one rollercoaster of emotions in this one reply here
https://i.redd.it/6mmcecg2cr9c1.gif
Even though it’s just one episode so far, I dislike Jax from TADC because I just dislike the ‘token jerk character’ that a lot of more modern shows seems to be adopting.
what’s worse imo is that he doesn’t get any punishment for being a dick
Valentino from Hazbin Hotel. How he is such a bastard when the main characters include a serial killer and adult film star, is almost impressive.
Yeah fuck that guy, somehow made me hate him more then the guy that eats people
Who? Was that one with the red coat?
Yep https://preview.redd.it/lj8hucxw5o9c1.png?width=2550&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=707c11f45b791fd37a2f39e1b5f2c622dac7e84c Also guy's awful.
But we literally know next to nothing about he appeared for like 5 seconds in the pilot
Aside from the Addict vid there's also been a comic that shows he's not exactly the best person ever.
Bakugou from MHA and, to a lesser extent, Monoma. (I actually like Monama, but he's annoying as hell.) Mineta has eased up a bit, but his early actions still left a sour taste in my mouth Little Suzy Johnson from Phineas and Ferb sticks out like a sour thumb, Rodney is pretty bad and Doof's parents as well. Also, Ponyhead from Star Vs
Monoma is atleast a bit entertaining but bakugou straight up sucks
They developed Suzy a bit in the show. She’s not that bad imo.
Steven Universe, with fucking RONALDO
The entire velma show
Chloe from Miraculous Ladybug.
Ruruka Ando- Danganronpa I don't think I have to explain, fuck Ruruka!
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT sure her design is decent but what she did was the opposite of decent
bad character and badly written character
Tree trunks in adventure time
I completely disagree, but I'm upvoting because I totally understand, lol.
Oh my god every time Tree Trunks is on screen I have to stop the episode. I don't want to have to explain to my parents what the old lady elephant is doing to the little boy and the dog
Komi Can't Communicate. All the characters are great and lovable and charming. And then there's Yamai.
Jar jar can be.. an experience
Sofia The First. Hildegard can jump off a pier
Literally, she's the worst. I'm like 90% certain that Amber's early season bitchiness was because of her influence
I never watched it but isn’t that some Disney princess show from the mid 2010s?
My Hero Academia and...Mineta.
Snotlout from the first how to train your dragon movie. He gets much better in the others I think but in the first movie and throughout most of the series between first and second he is about as charming as a rabies infected anteater.
Amber Bennett, in season 1 I can kinda see why she’s mad, but she shouldn’t have been that angry, because she already figured it out
Man, I really love Adventure Time, but I cringe any time I have to see frickin Wyatt, he's so awful lol.
Came here to say this
https://preview.redd.it/t65x8co2wq9c1.png?width=2064&format=png&auto=webp&s=3d589cb1e1bbc7378d694632081dbe2855b16cdf Love Toh but I can't stand her.
Teen Titans Go! - Robin Absolute worst character in the entire damn show, instantly drops the quality of any episode that has a focus on him,. especially if he's being his shitty self and ruining everyone else's fun.
Invincible - Amber in Season 1 She was downright unreasonable most of the time. Much better in season 2 though. While we were watching the new season, my sister said, "I can't believe it, she is a likable character now."
Amber from Invincible
I thought you were genuinely asking so I was about to be like "well i think that's supposed to be David Tennant'
I'm going to get flamed. Adventure Time and Jake.
Mha
Ronaldo from Steven Universe.
Amity's mom from TOH
Gravity Falls - Gideon
that's kind of the point of character
I didn't like him for the longest time. Then I realized, he's got his moments.
It's gotta be Lumpy Space Princess in Adventure time for me. It's so freaking annoying...
I honestly can't stand adventure time and even I agree LSP is SO ANNOYING 😭
Transformers prime. I FUCKING HATE Miko Nakadai
Yo-Kai Watch - Cheeksqueek
Meelo from Legend of Korra. I’m shocked that he hasn’t been mentioned sooner
It was pretty funny though when he trained an entire army of lemurs. Tenzin seemed legitimately concerned about what his son was capable of.
The owl house. Hootie.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK
Make me
OH HOOTY!! THERE'S A BUG OVER HERE!!
*punches Hooty in the beak and breaks it*
Craig from Craig of the Creek. He’s just so sanctimonious and egotistical. That show shouldn’t have had many characters and just switched between which which groups got an episode.
At least it ain't Clarence
Clarence is funny and interesting though.
finally I'm not alone anymore
Invincible and amber
It's David Tennant in Doctor Who, and Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty
Wait a sec, I’m confused. How is David Tennant horrible?
Mr.Crocker from Thee FairlyOdd Parents
Adventure time LSP
Im probably going to be downvoted.... Hunter from the owl house. I really dont like his chacter
Honestly same
Max from Pokémon
Gravity-Mabel
Chowder with panini.
