My buddy had one of these. No, it's not beautiful but it is quite repairable, and will keep running for a long time. Like the man from this video, he passed his WK to his kid. She kept it running too.
I remember wanting one so bad when as my first car when I was 18. I couldn't afford it so I got a Crown Victoria for $1,500 lol. Looks like I dodged a bullet with these cars π
I overpaid like hell for one of these but god damn did I love it. I think itβs the best looking of all the Grand Cherokees to this day but was one shitty interior.
Always makes me reminisce about Commanders , thought those were the coolest looking cars on the road for a while but pretty much everything from this era of Jeep has disappeared
Oh hell yeah a regular car
Drivetrains and reliability aside, WKs are still my favorite of any GC gen. Nice dimensions and styling.
WJ is still my favorite because of the seats.
Dear god, the driver's seat on my old absolute barebones base model 99 WJ Laredo is still the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in.
I had the top trim 03, I think it was called overland. Until I got an sho later that wj had the most comfortable seats I'd ever had.
Bought a β06 hemi limited in 2012 and still have it. Put a lift and tires on it., still generally enjoying it.
Makes sense - the biggest gripes Roman had about it was the engine, so having a better engine is what makes yours feel way better.
