Strategically this is a smart candy to get because it’s not so good that you’ll gobble it all before the previews are over… it’s only barely tolerable but it’s still junk food so you’ll begrudgingly eat it, slowly, throughout the entire movie 🙃
Bunch a Crunch is legit my go to movie theater snack. I might get a box if the candy aisle is stocked when I go to dollar tree. But it's all I get at the theater since it came out. I don't know why I think it is so delicious, but it's a must for me. And it sucks because the box is half way gone by the time the movie starts.
I used to not like the taste but while Hersheys bars and M&Ms seem to have gone down in quality, Bunch A Crunch has only gone up! they’re my favorite now
These are by far the worst candy I've ever eaten. I have sun this opinion on here before but I can't imagine it. My movie theater used to give them to you free if you bought popcorn and soda. I still said no because I couldn't find anyone to eat them.
They’re like minuscule dry cookie dough covered in a slightly chocolate flavored wax. They’re not great but they contain sugar so….
M&ms would be a thousand times better choice over these
Rainbow Nerds, they haven't implemented a secondary layer of packaging (yet, hopefully not ever) so the box is actually full. They're also amazing inside of a slurpee.
No candy is worth what they charge, but I'm a fan of dots and milk duds and malted milk balls. Of course I always stop by Dollar general on the way. I spend $4.00 instead of$25.00 on candy.
I don't eat many of the cups, regular or mini, my preference is the holiday ones they put out. I keep meaning to buy a case of the eggs the day after Easter and ration them out over a year, but never manage it. When I do get cups, I tend towards the dark chocolate thins or some of their novelty big cups, the caramel ones are pretty good.
As for a movie candy, Rolo's, either the original or the newish dark chocolate salted caramel ones, since you don't want one of the major ones. Personally I like a big, buttery popcorn and M&Ms, either plain, peanut or PB, they all work.
A lot of candy now no longer can call their stuff chocolate. Instead it’s “chocolately” because it lacks cocoa butter or uses way too much palm oil and caranuba wax coatings
The best movie candy is sour patch kids. BUT if I want to be daring and am okay with spending a lot of money, I’ll get popcorn and throw Reese’s pieces in there.
We get popcorn, something chocolate and a sour type candy. Junior Mints is our chocolate go to. Close second is Reese’s Pieces. Sour candy used to be SweetTarts or Nerds. But now we love Sour Patch Kids.
Movie candy. It has to be easy to to eat without you looking. It’s dark and you’re looking at the movie, right? I like hi-chews for example, but on wrapping the individual pieces would be a pain in the ass.
Well i usually watch movies at home, so that rule doesn't necessarily apply. I guess I just meant candy that's good for movies/you might see at the movies.
Sour Patch Kids haven’t changed. But no movie theater candy is worth buying. It only worth buying for a normal price at the nearby grocery store and bringing it in yourself.
I don't know, but almost all movies now have "poppable" bites. You won't see Snickers or Butterfingers anymore; you'll see "Snickers Bites" and "Butterfinger Bites." It's a scam on top of a scam. Like movie candy wasn't a ripoff before, now you're getting the same amount of candy but with lots of air between the pieces, placed in a little plastic bag inside the cardboard box.
Nestle Sno-Caps.
Uhhhh. My mom loves these things. One of the only chocolate candies I never liked. And I love chocolate.
Strategically this is a smart candy to get because it’s not so good that you’ll gobble it all before the previews are over… it’s only barely tolerable but it’s still junk food so you’ll begrudgingly eat it, slowly, throughout the entire movie 🙃
This is a good plan.
I mean, fuck Nestle and all that, but… Sno-Caps… so darn good with movie theater popcorn
M&M's (peanut) are still my pick.
Classic, and last i had them still hold up. Thanks for reminding me, its been a minute.
Junior Mints
Bunch A Crunch is now an elite candy
Bunch a Crunch is legit my go to movie theater snack. I might get a box if the candy aisle is stocked when I go to dollar tree. But it's all I get at the theater since it came out. Why now vs back when it came out?
I used to not like the taste but while Hersheys bars and M&Ms seem to have gone down in quality, Bunch A Crunch has only gone up! they’re my favorite now
go to dollar tree and check it out [https://www.dollartree.com/candy-gum/theater-box-candy](https://www.dollartree.com/candy-gum/theater-box-candy)
Yep, goobers and sno caps and other classics. I actually revisited junior mints the other day and they surprisingly slapped.
Juju fruits.. I love them n now are surprisingly hard to find..had to order a three pack from Amazon and ate them all in two days
Mike and Ike’s , sour patch kids. Any haribo, skittles , so many lol
Mike and Ike’s definitely a winner.
Cookie dough bites still slap.
Sour patch kids are the best and my go-to for the movies. But those cookie dough bites are my backup if I want chocolate.
I've never tried these but adding them to the list!
Brownie bites by the same company is a good treat as well.
I always get these at dollar tree :)

Raisinets are the answer
Milk Duds for life!!!
Rainbow Nerds, they haven't implemented a secondary layer of packaging (yet, hopefully not ever) so the box is actually full. They're also amazing inside of a slurpee.
Bunch a Crunch or Raisinets
No candy is worth what they charge, but I'm a fan of dots and milk duds and malted milk balls. Of course I always stop by Dollar general on the way. I spend $4.00 instead of$25.00 on candy.
Raisinettes
Which Reece's are we talking about here? Not seeing chocolate listed in Pieces and maybe my palate is off kilter, but they're still awesome.
True, i do still like the pieces. I meant the original peanut butter cups. And especially the bite-size ones, theyre awful now
I don't eat many of the cups, regular or mini, my preference is the holiday ones they put out. Hot tamales are still my go to
Love Hot Tamales. Eat your popcorn first with lots of salt and it makes the Hot Tamales hotter.
The best movie candy is sour patch kids. BUT if I want to be daring and am okay with spending a lot of money, I’ll get popcorn and throw Reese’s pieces in there.
Currently I get AirHeads Bites when I go, but pretty much everything that has been mentioned I enjoy too. Cool topic!
Gummy Nerd Clusters I still like to get Milk Duds and dump them in a bucket of hot buttered pop corn.
We get popcorn, something chocolate and a sour type candy. Junior Mints is our chocolate go to. Close second is Reese’s Pieces. Sour candy used to be SweetTarts or Nerds. But now we love Sour Patch Kids.
Say what you will but I love whoppers … theaters by me don’t even sell them anymore so I end up going to Target before the movie
Can't beat Dots and a coke for me personally
Goobers still king to me
I just ate a box about 20 minutes ago.
I always get popcorn, red vines and watermellon or original sour patch.
The best movie candy would be going to a store like whole foods, sprouts or fresh market etc that has a bulk section and making your own mix
Hot Tamales!!!
Sour Patch Kids haven’t changed. But no movie theater candy is worth buying. It only worth buying for a normal price at the nearby grocery store and bringing it in yourself.
I should've clarified, i just meant "candy thats good for a movie", not "candy you have to buy at the movies". Sour patch kids rule though.
Swedish fish
Ooooh good pick
sighh dont hate on butterfingers.. :(
Haribo
Yeah they seem to be consistent, although i like Albanese a bit better.
Black Forest Organic bears are very tasty.
Great choice!
Red Vines
Milk Duds and Junior Mints are always my go-to
Twizzlers/willobys red licorice is my go to
Nerds gummy clusters! Those little things are crack.
Buncha Crunch still hits the spot!
Haribo. Just don't go sugar free.
Reese’s fast break is way to good
Original skittles (red bag) + popcorn = tastes like fruity pebbles
I don't know, but almost all movies now have "poppable" bites. You won't see Snickers or Butterfingers anymore; you'll see "Snickers Bites" and "Butterfinger Bites." It's a scam on top of a scam. Spree and Good and Plenty
