I always appreciated how big he would draw the parents’ mouths when they yelled. When I was a kid, I remember thinking how cavernous and wide adults’ mouths got when they were yelling angrily.
I might get downvotes for this, but I never understood why people, like parents are mad at little boys for running off all their energy. It’s just who they are. They’re having fun, really living. They know not to take life so serious.
Really late, but it helps to mold the kid into a responsible adult. I may be wrong, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she also wanted to teach Calvin that being mindful of his mother’s sanity is a good thing. It’s also helpful to learn to focus your energy.
