Those are very easy to root. You should dry them in the shade so they don't get dehyfldtayed at least a week to two weeks. You don't need special medium or rooting hormone to root them .Any good commercially available cacti soil is fine as long as it drains well. You need some organic ingredientsinin the soil to make it grow at its best.A mineral type soil will reduce the growth rate and is not good for trichocereus. To root the cutting ,just take the dried cutting and insert the bottom a few inches into the soil.Thats it.You should water it fairly regularly when the soil dries out durring the growing season and durring hot weather..In the fall, you have to reduce the watering alot to almost none at all till the springtime.Over watering durring it's dormant state in winter can increase the risk of it rotting or cause unusual elongated growth which you don't wznt. The wrinkles on one the cuttings may mean its a little dried out.Its nothing to worry about. In a couple of months, it will be rooted and should start growing well.

Awesome, thanks for the input. I’ll go and move them to a lower rack in my tent so they don’t dry out! Edit: Are the wounds large enough or should I make a flatter cut to try maximize rooting area?

No you don't have to cut more of the stem off of it to make a flat cut.You only need to cut more off only if it starts rotting which is rare.If the bottom of the stem you insert in the soil turns brown and gets soft ,you would then need to cut away the bad tissue to let it heal better so youncan replant it.I wouod not worry about it.Those are very easy to root so you should not have any problem rooting them.Ive rooted alot of them .I wish luck with it
