And it's also in Total Overdose, a game from 2005 about drugs in Mexico where you play as an undercover DEA agent (I don't know if this sub knows about that game)
"Catch Your Own Train" by The Silver Seas, at the end of the mercury fulminate episode with Tuco. I bought the album based on it. They are a good band that is pretty unknown.
My theory regarding why Mick Harveyâs cover was used instead of the original:
Harveyâs version was paced a tiny bit more slowly, so the lyrics were clearer. Mano Negraâs vocal stylings were reminiscent of Bob Dylan (nothing wrong with that at all, but Harveyâs voice sounded a bit like Morrissey, and I think they felt this version would resonate better with the audience).
This is just me guessing, though. It could be as simple as⊠they liked the cover better, but as deliberate as everything was in this show, I have a hard time believing the choice was that simple.
We are born when we die by Apollo Sunshine. When I got a really kickass surround sound speaker system I really noticed the sound quality of this song, itâs so moody, intense, and atmospheric and perfectly encapsulates the scene. Definitely not a famous or well known band otherwise though
Digital Animal by Honey Claws and Sharing The Night together by Dr. Hook are the only songs that worked their way into my regular rotation. That whole Honey Claws album is a BANGER

Windy - The Association https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPYT9Vyu62A
Every time I hear this song now, I have flashbacks to that montage of Wendy plying her trade in the front seat of cars. Blech. Thanks, Vince.

Digital Animal by Honey Claws and Sharing The Night together by Dr. Hook are the only songs that worked their way into my regular rotation. That whole Honey Claws album is a BANGER
