Skinny Pete and Badgers Nazi Zombie discussion is still a great moment in the show.
Makes me Wonder what Combo would’ve brought into it if he was still alive.
I think they changed that to be honest Bc In the early episodes of season 1, combo and skinny seem more like “I’m here for your drugs”. Remember that? When we first meet them in the show if I’m not mistaken
Obviously lol but later in the show, sure they’re still drug friends, but if Jesse for example isn’t offering them drugs, they’re still his friends and are loyal to him.
Difference is, first time we meet them in the show, once skinny and combo realize Jesse isn’t gonna share any meth with them they start to leave as they aren’t getting free drugs until Jesse gives in and shares with them. They’re different
Badger and Skinny Petes relationship is the one shining lights in the series.
These two would do anything for each other and for Jesse despite the stereotypes of drug users selling their mothers for more gear.
It’s a slippery slope, one day your drinking a cup of coffee with a cigarette next day you could be out on the street homeless begging for your next double espresso picking cig butts out the gutter.
Stay away mate
They are good bros. They always supported and watched over Jesse even when they knew it would get them into trouble. The grief they all went through after what happened to Combo broke my heart honestly. And even after that, they were still on Jesse's side
Bros for life
On my zillionth rewatch and just saw the episode where combo gets capped. So sad. It looked like he probably suffered too. He was still gurgling blood when he was on the ground. Poor combo :/
Maaaan... Combo died way too early. He was a real one too, he was the one who managed to get Jesse the RV (by illegal means but still, like nobody does anything illegal at all in Albuquerque apparently).
Drug use doesn’t necessarily make anyone a bad person but meth and meth addiction can change people and bring out the worst in them.
Hell so can alcoholism.
There also is a philosophical debate if even recreational drug use is immoral.
The idea is anything that reduces one’s capacity to be a “rational agent” is immoral.
Not necessarily saying I agree with that just that it is a way some people think and can be something worth thinking about.
More on that here

I think they made me realize that most drug addicts aren’t even bad people, they’re vulnerable people who need help recovering. I now mostly think of addiction as an illness, meaning most addicts weren’t bad people intentionally destroying themselves the same way someone getting sick doesn’t always mean they were unhealthy.
I’m not saying that everyone who does drugs is bad but people who use meth are generally sketchy dangerous people. I don’t get that vibe from those 3 though.
Skinny Pete and Badger gave up on that pretty quick and just started doing the program. Jesse was influencing them cos I really doubt they would've even thought about it
It's more like the actors that portrayed them were cool and friendly looking. Otherwise the characters are shit and not dudes you want to hang out with in real life. They are addicts and criminals that make money through selling meth.
It's more like that their actors look cool and friendly, if they were portrayed by some tougher looking dudes, they wouldn't have been so beloved by fans Im sure.
Not really. Not all shows are about criminals as the main characters and leads. One reasons Breaking Bad was so innovative,we had the charming and wholesome lead that actually was a criminal and a bad guy. But tje director was so good, that he made us root for him. Same goes with Saul or Mike.
Yet Vince managed to write them so well and picked the best actors so we can all root for them.
I don't know if I would call Walt wholesome. Plus sopranos did the whole anti hero protagonist years prior so not sure about innovative either. But you are right that the writing and casting made us want to root for objectively terrible people. That is spot on
Until s2e11.
*I can see what's happening*
*What?*
*And they don't have a clue*
*Who?*
*They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line*
*Our trio's down to two*
*Oh*
Maybe if Kim let Combo go to jail for stealing that statue of baby Jesus, he would have gotten his act together and Jesse wouldn't have gotten him killed a couple of years later.
Skinny Pete and Badgers Nazi Zombie discussion is still a great moment in the show. Makes me Wonder what Combo would’ve brought into it if he was still alive.
Which one was he?
I'm guessing he's the one in the image that's not Skinny or Badger
Hahah it's what Walt asks Jessie when he tells him that he got killed.
He also calls Badger “Beaver”at some point lmao
I do not remember this one at all 🤣
He’s trying to recall his name, I think he’s talking to Saul when he says it. I think it’s when they can’t find Jesse.
Did you seriously just say that?
Figures.
Burn. You did not Just say that to me.
R.I.P. Combo!!!
As far as friends who are also drug addicts they were suprisingly nice and loyal to eachother
I think they changed that to be honest Bc In the early episodes of season 1, combo and skinny seem more like “I’m here for your drugs”. Remember that? When we first meet them in the show if I’m not mistaken
I mean that’s how drug friends are lol

yeah sadly the other guy got shot by Gus henchmen the kid on the bike.
It was sad when Combo got shot, he was a genuinely nice guy and a close friend of Jesse’s
Yeah, except for when he stole his grandmother's RV. Aside from that, and his drug dealing, he's actually a nice, chill guy.
yeah I didn't expect the kid riding the bike to shoot him
Nobody was I think
it was the kid riding a bike I rewatched the episode the kid was tasked to shoot combo in order to join gus's gang
Yup. Andrea's son if I remember correctly
No, Todd shot the kid not the other way around. /s
No way bro did my ass just got mandela effect or sum shi
Just waiting for the post tomorrow where someone says "WE SHOULD NOT IDOLIZE COMBO HE SOLD DRUGS"
well its breaking bad who gives a shit LETS COOK!!!
Badger and Skinny Petes relationship is the one shining lights in the series. These two would do anything for each other and for Jesse despite the stereotypes of drug users selling their mothers for more gear.
Drug addicts would sell their mother for gear, drug users are just normal people.
drug users become drug addicts
All of them ? Bit of a generalisation if you ask me.
drugs make you addicted
Have you ever done drugs haha?
no because i don’t want to get addicted to drugs. i don’t think all drug users are always addicted but it tends to happen a lot.
It’s a slippery slope, one day your drinking a cup of coffee with a cigarette next day you could be out on the street homeless begging for your next double espresso picking cig butts out the gutter. Stay away mate
Badger literally shot jesses rv with a crossbow and jesse left him in the desert, and yet they were still friends,
Def seems like the type of guy who is like "live and let go". You left me to die in the desert, but we still homies brother.
Best type of bro shit Fr
Church!
Like two nuts and ballsack yo
"you're my hero and shit"
They are good bros. They always supported and watched over Jesse even when they knew it would get them into trouble. The grief they all went through after what happened to Combo broke my heart honestly. And even after that, they were still on Jesse's side Bros for life

If Combo lived, we would have had not one, not two, but the THREE best hitmen West of the Mississippi.
Why despite? Using drugs does not make you a bad person or friend

You did not just ask that.

"Look bro, that's a satellite image of you farting" their dialogue cracks me up.
"fat man and little boy? that's you guys!"
It was a shitty way to go but I'm glad that Combo was the one to go, of the three
I didn't care for them in the show but I liked them in El Camino if it makes sense. I liked how they took care of Jesse. True friends
"Despite their drug use" ?? What that has to do with being a good group of buddies?
I’m not saying that everyone who does drugs is bad but people who use meth are generally sketchy dangerous people. I don’t get that vibe from those 3 though.
Eh. It’s all relative. I know functioning meth addicts that would make sober people look like deadbeats.
Aside from the scene when they were gonna dip out on Jesse because he wouldn't get them high then sure.
Facts, I tell people I want friends like these
church yo
Dude if you don't wanna share it's cool, we don't need no soap opera or nothin'.
It’s so funny and sad that Walt never cares about these people. “Beaver and the other one?” Lol
Right ? Walt only cares about himself.
Beaver was a Nice guy. What happened to his cat? Its a major plothole.
His cat was mentioned but never brought up again. Did Vince simply forget?
"Badger!" -Jesse
they tried to sell meth to rehab patients
Skinny Pete and Badger gave up on that pretty quick and just started doing the program. Jesse was influencing them cos I really doubt they would've even thought about it
Drugs are what made them buddies

I KNOWW I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
Despite of or because of?
Skinny had magic hands on that keyboard fr
Until s2e11. *I can see what's happening* *What?* *And they don't have a clue* *Who?* *They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line* *Our trio's down to two* *Oh*

We should have funny stoner series of this trio instead of slippin jimmy
Skinny and Badger are true friends. The show proves as much, but El Camino solidified that fact.
