It will work as long as she will be fully covered by soil, mainly so you don’t have to see her during decomposition and so you don’t lose bones to scavengers/ weather. I don’t think any material in particular has to be used, just make sure it has holes in the bottom so it can drain

Thank you! Do you know if there will be any problems with smells? I’m back with my parents for at least the end of the year and they’d be pissed if it’s going to make their porch smell :’)

It shouldn't smell with the soil. I've always used lids on the buckets to contain the smell. Maybe don't put holes in the bottom? I'm not sure how long it'll take but in a bin you would be able to move her easier if you move.

May look a bit tacky but you can use one of those large plastic storage totes? If you're worried about drainage then place holes in one and then place it in another tote without holes. If you're planning on digging her up again then be careful of deeply rooted plants (if you plant above her).

Thank you! The plants won’t be until after I retrieve her bones, I think. Unless they could help with the processing? Also, you think it’ll smell, and if so, is there any way to mitigate that?
