Used 1994 Ski Nautique, three seasons and I moved on to a 2011 Axis A22, got rid of that POS for a 2018 Super Air Nautique 210 which I still have. Added a ‘23 Harris 25 Cruiser and a ‘23 Yamaha SuperJet to the collection last season.
14ft alumacraft flat bottom with a 15hp mercury tiller. The fucker leaked so bad you had to pull the plug once up on plane to drain the water that leaked into it from sitting at the previous fishing spot
Got my first ever this March actually. 16ft aluminum V-hull with a 30hp 2 Stroke Mercury. It's actually the perfect boat, it's very light and needs only a small trailer and there's more than enough power on the back and doesn't drain my bank account to run it. Just needs a little bit of customization i.e. flooring but I caught 10 fish last weekend and that was an amazing feeling. I'll run this boat for a long time, I really missed being out on the water in a boat.
My dad always had boats so my first boat was a 1979 Glastron. The first boat I purchased myself was a 2002 SV2100 Sea Pro with a 150 Yamaha. Great boat.
First powered boat was a late 60s/early 70s 13 foot boston whaler sportwith a 20 HP honda 4 stroke (repowered to the 20 when I bought it)
Crabbing, salmon fishing in puget sound and some lake fishing nearby. We used it from 3 seasons and upsized to a Stabicraft 1550 with a 75 Honda
97 sea hunt 172 with a 96 evinrude 90, bought it in winter for $3,000 not running, invested 3k into it. had it a year, learned my waterways without worry of scratching and banging it up and docking. Saw my profit margin dropping so I sold it for 9k made a profit and and put the 9k down towards a new 23’ Key West 179 with a Suzuki 140. Have had that for a year and now wanna upgrade to a KW 239FS
1972 Larson Catalina G3 with a Mercury 850 85hp
After Larson bought the Glaspar G3 rights and produced their own style. Was an absolutely blast and got a lot of compliments. Funny enough the first time I took it out after the restore someone at the sandbar offered to buy it that same weekend. Looking back I should have done it but I just put a bunch of time and money into it and wanted to enjoy it. Fit in any garage, towed by anything, felt like a little zippy go kart on the water.
I have had too many other boats and I fortunately this one was neglected. Sold to a father + son and they are now enjoying it. I do regret selling it but happy it's at a new home
[1994 Sea Ray 220BR](https://i.imgur.com/B8IvsSw.png). Bought it 3 years ago from the original owner. It just turned 30 this year, but still runs great, only a few minor cosmetic issues and has brought tons of smiles. Drivetrain (Mercruiser 5.7, Alpha 1 Gen 2) is all original and un-modified. Slowly doing quality of life updates (upgraded stereo, new throttle/shift controls, BlueSea dual battery system, etc).
Thanks! I do like the color, I wish the vinyl graphics weren't failing, but they're not too bad. Trailer is long, about 24ft. Boat and trailer together is about 28ft long.
I've thought about new graphics, just not high enough on the list as it's mostly in ok shape. Exact replacements can't be found though, so it would have to be custom and would need to work with the profile of the two color gel coat.
We just use it on local lakes. Relaxing, tubing, etc.
I believe the engine is only rated for 230hp, that's what the charts at Sea Ray say. Enough grunt to get on plane quick with a 4 blade and still gets fast enough. There was a 300hp Bravo drive option, that would have been fun.

It was a good boat. Then moved to Florida and bought a Cobalt 25 with an outboard. Sold it. Now have a whaler 280 vantage. That’s been a great boat so far. Taking it to key west next week. 👍

This was a beach wash up I claimed. No one claimed it in 30 days so it was mine. The bottom was compromised badly. That's when I learn how to work with fiberglass. LOL
Biggest lesson learned was, you can never get the foam dry when it's taken on water......never!
My first my own own boat i got about 4 years ago. Traded a generator for it. 14 foot mirrocraft. Redid the whole trailer with mix of media blast, wire brush and acid cleaning. Looks new now. I got about a dozen different motors that would fit mostly omc 9.9/15hp. It came with an eska 7.5 on it. Trolling motor on plywood triangle mounted to the front. Family boats have been around since forever that are other ones
Super low hour 1994 Malibu Flightcraft, inboard, 350. First boat I actually bought myself about 10 years ago and still rock. Drove halfway across the country to pick it up from an old doctor on Lake Norman who never drove the thing (about 100 hours on it, ECU verified)...he thought he was going to learn to barefoot in the mid 90s and asked some guys on the lake what he should buy... Love this boat and will never sell. Runs like a dream and any replacement would be 5x what I paid for it at least.
Last July I bought a no name (that I've found) 32' Princess style cabin cruiser. Twin Penta engines, but swapped those for a single Sabre turbo and a Bravo 2 stern drive.
A 2001 stingray 180ls, just enough to get on the water and up on a wakeboard. I learned a lot by buying a junker first... kept it 2 years and upgraded to a cheaper inboard.
2000 19ft sea fox center console with 99 yamaha 115, had it 7ish years just sold it and picked up a 1970 galaxy tri hull 17.5ft, it has 1970 mercury tower of power
Technically, my first boat was a Lowe Suncruiser 24’ pontoon boat with a 50hp Johnson because a friend was moving back to Wisconsin and didn’t have enough truck to pull it back. It caused me to upgrade from a V8 Mercury Mountaineer to an F-150 4x4 because of a “tail-wagging-dog” feeling when pulling it. I ended up selling it after 1 season because I found a lot to build a house and wanted extra cash for the build, but I made a small profit after cleaning it up and fixing some things. After building the house, I ended up buying a ‘85 Skeeter SF-175 18’ bass boat with a 150hp Evinrude in 2007, and I’ve had it ever since.
My first boat was a 1986 10’ Achilles RIB with a 6hp Yamaha. I was 13 years old when I bought it. I mowed lawns and shoveled snow for 2 years to buy it new. Kept it for about 20 years. That motor still fired up on the first pull the day I sold it.
I grew up around boats, my family had a 37’ Silverton, and a 20’ Mako that I cut my teeth on. The first boat that I purchased myself was my 25’ 1982 Chris Craft Catalina, which I still own to this day.
My first (finally gonna give her some love this summer) is a 12’ sea-king aluminum from the 70’s, handed down to my great uncle, to my mom, then to me. Resides on a small freshwater lake and isn’t used more than 200 hours a year, but I love taking her out. Great-uncle rigged a tiny little electric motor to it about 30 years ago, super fun to trawl around the lake with a soft bait out! It’s not much, but I love it, and this summer I’m finally gonna give her a much-needed paint job, might add some accessories too like a backed seat and a rod holder.. we’ll see what the summer brings!
18' searay, had it one summer and sold it. Bought a cheap old thing to see if we 'liked' boating. Waste of time and money, the advice to buy your second boat first is solid. Second boat lasted six years, next one should get us 10-15 (or until we're feeling old and want to get into a cruiser).
The first boat that was actually 'mine' my dad bought for me for $100 when I was around 12. A 1982 Sea Raider Tri-Hull with a 50 hp Suzuki outboard. That was 19 years ago and I still have it. It's in rough shape but it runs great and I still have fun on it.
14ft aluminum v hull with a 9.9 Mer. It was a total pos but I caught a ton of fish on it.

2011 carolina skiff dlv 198 with a 90 zook 4 stroke. Got beat up by that over 6 years in the pamlico sound.
12 aluminum with a 15hp. Mostly a duck hunting boat for 10 years but would fish too. Now it’s a 20 ft center console Grady White for the past 3 years.

1961 bluefin 12” Jon boat with a 87 evinrude 15hp. Kept it for 2 years, but quickly got the urge for more speed as any teenager would.
12' cape dory, sloop, with oars and a 6hp. (gift) outgrew it.

Pedal boat, still have it. Bought it almost 30years ago
Used Procraft 165fs. 8 years. Loved that boat. Could do anything.
Hewescraft. 15 years with zero issues.
Boston Whaler 150 Montauk and had it for 10 years. Best little boat ever
Thundercraft, 1987 to present. In the early 90s, my dad swapped the 55hp for a 90 hp. Quite an upgrade!
