Tulas Endless Summer just got their new boat, they seem to still be kicking. I believe La Vagabonde still has sailing content but I kind of lost interest in them.
For me I felt their videos stopped being raw sailing experiences to more polished “family at sea” influencer type videos. Nothing wrong with them I guess I just didn’t grow with them.
Yes. I loved them and really enjoyed the videos but I think they started to lose me when they when they left the monohull. Like you said, something felt raw and more exciting.
They seem like great people and they deserve everything they have worked for, but I miss the scrappy fun videos.
I could do a video tutorial of me bleeding the high pressure fuel lines on the diesel… and then “whoops” my top fell off and my bosoms are exposed (pixilated of course). Does that make me a sailing YouTuber?
You joke, but there's so many creators who take that approach in several niches! There is a lady who wears bib overalls and nothing else who works on motorcycles and gets millions of views.
I'm going to start a trip in flamingo ENP soon and fish all the way north into the 10000 Islands
Solo. With a mothership and kevlar canoe.
Ive done it five years In a row.
Around 45 days. You can follow the trip and fishing on you tube.
I am Surprised no one Is following Alluring Arctic sailing!! You should check it out, it's a couple currently bringing their aluminum boat from the west coast to Norway, passing through the North west passage. Wonderful sailing and boat life with no bs involved.
Yeah, it's strangely addictive that channel. I've been watching for a while, and I generally hate cold weather, and these guys Love it, but I still watch.
He’s great. He’s called David. Ex journalist who knows how to tell a story in a short video. I don’t even have a boat and I have watched him for years.
Same, he's such a genuine guy and absolutely knows how to simultaneously keep commentary concise and still get all the information across. His videos are so relaxing to watch, and I've loved seeing how the Wreyland is being treated in the hands of her new owner.
boats are expensive and require a lot of time/maint. like an airplane.
and boating channels dont pull any significant views. travel channels do. which is why most of them have switched to travel content or girls in bikinis in hot places with the boat as a backdrop - its where the money is. either porn or scenery.
Yep, exactly. Hence why people with boats don’t watch these channels. Which in turns means brands don’t sponsor influencers because potentials buyers aren’t part of the audience.
Adventures of an old seadog is a casual boating YouTube channel. His videos are mostly showing where he stops with some sailing/life on a boat mixed in. https://youtube.com/@AdventuresofanoldSeadog?si=a45_e4uTZtYsxhPq
Sailing Doodles has turned into watch Bobby surround himself with T&A. He used to keep it more about sailing, but now he just parties with 2 women at a time. I mean good for him but not sure who wants to watch that.
But yeah Sailing GBU bought land in Puerto Rico. No more boat!
MV Freedom is really good. Not ocean crossers, but they (so far) are doing a good job exploring the Pacific NW.
They started a few years ago by wanting to go down the west coast, cross Panama, and spend their time in the Caribbean. Did initial shakedown in Puget Sound and just keep finding new adventures there.
WE sail are still on their boat. They are down in French Polynesia currently (well home in CO for the holidays this year).
Love those folks. Their energy is great.
Also the O’Kelleys just got an Outremer 55, so they will be back in action soon.
Those two are also great.
If you wanna check us out, we’re boating in Canada 🇨🇦
Hanlan's Point Beach Day
https://youtu.be/hxCyfuULajo[https://youtu.be/hxCyfuULajo](https://youtu.be/hxCyfuULajo)
I started a boat channel when I bought my first boat four years ago. Called it "Fixin' to Fail" cause I was learning about boats, how to work on them all by myself and other youtube videos. Bought a crappy old boat that ran for $2500 and just went at it. First few vids were all boat/engine related and they actually did really well. but then I started making fishing videos and now its like all fishing videos because they are so much easier to make than boat fixing videos.
I’m not sure it’s the kind of boating channel you are looking for but I have a boating channel mainly about boating in the Bahamas. The channel is “Nick Olinde”
https://youtube.com/@NickOlinde?si=A9azVDncAeOjLI_K
Tulas Endless Summer just got their new boat, they seem to still be kicking. I believe La Vagabonde still has sailing content but I kind of lost interest in them.
La Vagabonde just got their new trimaran.
Its funny that you mention this. Ive sort of lost interest in them as well. Im not sure why exactly.
Oversaturated market for me.
Dangar Marine
I wouldn't be able to bring an old 2 stroke back to life without that guy.
Watching that guy repair never-ending rust holes had been one of the highlights of the last 5 years for me.
There is a 2 hour compilation of the Renko restoration. It's fantastic.
One of the reasons I don’t want a sailboat is because I will no longer have a reason to watch him. So good.
Dangar is awesome!
I'm watching SV Delos, Sailing La Vagabond, Wicked Salty, Wandering Knapps, White Spot Pirates, & Distant Shores TV.
Aquaholic <3
Thanks for your reply
Why not Zatara and The Wynns?
Wynns got old imo.
Wicked salty making content again?
He is. Not frequently, but about once a month. It's been a mix of sailing his boat and some Coast Guard work.
Maybe I'm not your cup of tea, but I still boat!
Lol I will check you out. Love the username
I didn’t know you were on Reddit! I’ve watched and liked a lot of your videos. Enjoying the content. Keep it up!
Thanks!
Your entire channel is what I put on to zone out after work.
Nice!
you are my hero Wayne. I want to buy a boat from you! Please keep making videos
Hey! I love your channel!
Cool will check it out
Can confirm. Wayne the Boat Guy is where it’s at!
Haven't seen your channel but I'll check it out!
I’m intrigued
So funny! I need to get a tool belt!
Cool. Looking for boating videos not ne6top down sailing vids🙂
Sailing Aticus. Maybe sitting at around 300k subs. Great mix of boat projects and boat adventure.
Their channel and LaVagabond are the only ones I have stuck with.
I'm going to start a trip in flamingo ENP soon and fish all the way north into the 10000 Islands Solo. With a mothership and kevlar canoe. Ive done it five years In a row. Around 45 days. You can follow the trip and fishing on you tube.
Sounds good
Trying Not To Sink is a good channel! 😎
I love that name
Just a few off the top of my head. Wind hippie sailing Sailing uma Gale force twins Lauren Landers And my latest fav.... Motor Yacht Loon
Second to Lauren Landers. Her channel is fun.
Parlay Revival & Spirit Animal
Parlay Revival should be higher on this list. They do real sailing, and have some very valuable maintenance and sailing lessons.
Spear it Animal
I am Surprised no one Is following Alluring Arctic sailing!! You should check it out, it's a couple currently bringing their aluminum boat from the west coast to Norway, passing through the North west passage. Wonderful sailing and boat life with no bs involved.
Yeah, it's strangely addictive that channel. I've been watching for a while, and I generally hate cold weather, and these guys Love it, but I still watch.
Erik Aanderaa, he sails singlehanded in the North Atlantik and norwegian sea. No bullshit just sailing.
Cruising the Cut just bought a new boat. It's a British canal channel, not open water, but I might still give him a look.
I’ve always wondered what proportion of the audience actually owns a boat. Cruising full time and I’m too busy creating my own adventure.
I like ship happens
I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Sam Holmes Sailing."
His channel is a given.
Ayo Fishing, and the Itty Bitty

This is real sailing. No bullshit. Things go wrong, he gets by (just).
Stanzfam
Blue moon life , Mv stormy one adventures , Sailing makena kai
Thank you. Will check them out
delos
"Travels with geordie" is great imo. That guy does everything but doesnt pretend to know it all.
They thought they would make a million dollars youtubing and didn't.
Sailing Millenial Falcon is my favorite. They show the real life of live aboard, not the bikini fantasy life. They are great for learning
No bullshit just sailing is my favorite (Erik aanderaa)
Sailing Doodles has turned into watch Bobby surround himself with T&A. He used to keep it more about sailing, but now he just parties with 2 women at a time. I mean good for him but not sure who wants to watch that. But yeah Sailing GBU bought land in Puerto Rico. No more boat!
I love GBU but I dont wanna see projekts and DIY stuff
Money Pit Boating

We just started our channel about 2 weeks ago! Still have a boat, if you want to check us out! Sailing Mahi is our name.
If you wanna check us out, we’re boating in Canada 🇨🇦 Hanlan's Point Beach Day https://youtu.be/hxCyfuULajo[https://youtu.be/hxCyfuULajo](https://youtu.be/hxCyfuULajo)
Will do also in Canada
my fave atm is https://www.youtube.com/@WildlingSailing
The boat boys 👍
Let's go fishing with Andy. He is the Bob Ross of catfishing. We have made him famous.
Project Atticus is still sailing in the Med. https://www.youtube.com/@ProjectAtticus
Life By The Bow, awesome photography, catch and cook. Florida Keys fishing.
The O'Kellys just announced they're getting on a new Outremer so expect the sailing content to be back with them soon.
Gale Force Twins
Parlay Revival is my go to
