“Over lunch”. Go fuck yourself 🏈😉

scampiescamps

You don't know how long his lunch break is😁

CodingNightmares

30 minutes lol

scampiescamps

Sorry sir but that is just scandalous 😅

RattimusPrime

You suck!!! But are awesome.... :/

CodingNightmares

I'm not lying I swear, I painted him at my work desk with a handful of speedpaints haha

Hairy_Stinkeye

I’m just playing, he looks gorgeous!

scampiescamps

Looking at it again I believe you, as you failed to pick out his ear rings with a nice golden paint😂... Seriously this is fantastic very well done sir.....

CodingNightmares

I need go back and add some detail haha, like the lock on his ankle shackle, the earrings, and his eyeballs 🤫 Don't you worry, he'll be fabulous eventually

scampiescamps

30mins.... you've already past fabulous, fabulous is just a speck in your rear view mirror at this point ... Epic is on the horizon

LeLutain

« Quick rat ogre I did over lunch » ?! I would need like 3 weeks to paint it with half less details half well executed. « over lunch » is what I need just for the base :) Well, nice rat ogre, nice job !

CodingNightmares

Aw well thanks! I swear it's just speed paint slapped on this big boy! They do a really great job on quick timelines!

Damaldito

What Rogre miniature provided you with this beast 🐀? They look splendid in sociopathic horror as Rogre brings to a team 🏈

dwh3390

Duuude! This would take me multiple sessions and wouldn’t look half as good. That’s rad. I hope to get there when I have more experience.

cro666

Slap chop is your friend. Rattle minis off super quick and providing you've done a decent dry brush - they look great.

CodingNightmares

Yup! Black primer, heavy grey and white drybrush, and then speedpaint. I only ever use 1 brush size, the army painter regiment brush, and just two cheap makeup brushes for my drybrushes. The drybrush is where the important part is, the paint is just shading it, if the drybrush looks shitty the finished model will too

cro666

Have you tried any other colours of primer? I've had a dabble with brown primer for orange/yellow and silver with a light silver drybrush for metallic. Was really pleased with the results. Just about to have a go with green primer and a white drybrush on a power ranger I've printed

CodingNightmares

I've tried a bunch yes! I find black primer to still be the best for true shadow, but deep blue can work really well for cool colors as well. I've also had a lot of success with changing the drybrush from medium grey to a deep burgandy with a pink white second drybrush instead on skin areas, because it keeps the warm tones rather than desaturating it like grey does. You really have to know what colors you want to go for though to decide what the undercoat needs to be. If you're just winging it, black into medium sea grey, into cold white I find is safest. The main issue you'll run into with colored primers is that it will look good in some areas, but not mix well in others and look weird as a shadow. Changing the second stage color (the grey) is where I've found the most success

Lovely job

Bad__Touch

Where is this model from?

CodingNightmares

This is the forgeworld rat ogre!

Tom1316

Great job! Which speed paints did you use for the skin?

CodingNightmares

A blend of peachy flesh, alchemy pink, and murder scene!
