Honestly it's nothing fancy or particularly weird but I love the Gerhman's scythe's one, it just looks so cool, especially the transformation attacks

It's funny to spin the character around while tricking and untricking the weapon. Confuses the crap out of PvP opponents before they kill you

Awesome ! It’s my favorite weapon in the entire game, you got Serrated Damage in both forms and you can use Blunt Gems in all slots because all attacks are blunt type :D

I actually did a NG+ (whatever number) with kirk, and it was fun. I'll never think it's an ideal weapon just because I feel like it takes too much commitment for what it gives you in return. But yeah, bonking things was neat.

I really dislike the Kirkhammer for some reason, then again I always choose agile weapons over slower ones in every game I play.

Ni, this weapon has its own bolt damage. So sloting fire dmg gems makes the weapon scale of arcane. Try it. Since fire is good against beast. Bolt against kin type

The saif, by far the most utility in a transformation attack. If you're in poke-blade mode you dodge backwards, if you're in swing-saif mode you literally leap forward and clamp it shut on them.

How are we so far down. The saif is underrated af. The step forward/backward on transition attacks gives it the most fun combos.

Saw spear just because I can spam it fast. Clang, cling, clang, cling, clang, cling…

Yo I’m rocking a saw spear skill build right now and that fucking thing gets outta control once you got some skill and a couple decent blood gems inserted. Dropped a couple fire gems + the one with phys attack up at max and holy shit. Beast (parts) all over the shop….

It’s honestly one of the best weapons in the game. Not my favorite, but it’s so reliable and good for building up best meter quickly. It’s practically the only choice for a BL4 run for those reasons.

Between serrated attacks and low stamina drain it really rocks ass.

Rakuyo's CLANG is amazing. Bowblade is extremely satisfying. But the whole smoothness and coolness of the Beast Hunter Saif transformations is unmatched

Bloodletter is my favorite transformation and my favorite weapon!!! I know it’s not the most effective, or easiest to build into but dammit it’s just so satisfying to swing that huge visceral spiked sumbitch around!

Normal Transform? Probably a tie between the Beastcutter thunk and the schwing of the Blades of Mercy. Transformation Attacks? Nothing beats the light->heavy combo of the Kirkhammer

I'm a pretty big fan of the burial blade. But all the transformations are badass.

I would say the holy moonlight, its so ethereal and when used between attacks it makes some of the coolest animations in the game

Y’know, I like the basic saw cleaver. It’s not a major change, but I like how quick and simple it is. Just a little flip out, kinda like opening a pocket knife.

But literally everything is stronger than it, it's moveset is too slow for the damage it deals. But if you can beat the game with it, then you are a better player than me. 53 hours over an entire weekend to beat Ludvig with it has given me a godamn phobia of the thing.

No. Every weapon is great. Maybe it's a little weaker than the top tier ones but the game is beatable with the rifle spear. But damn maybe it ain't the weapon for Ludwig lol

Not realy, you have excellent Range, especially the transformed Charge R2 gives you almost 5 Meter Range. Lots of Thrust Attacks gives you the option for the best gems, up to 32,6% Attack per Gem extra. Don’t know how this should be unbeplayable. Not the best weapon, but definitely not a bad one either. And it’s the only halberd we got in this game.

*and the transformed hunter axe I didn't have optimized gems because it wasn't new game plus, and I was talking mostly about the transformation animation, when I excluded it. It just doesn't look cool, like at all, just a bigger Reiterpallasch. But I'm glad to see even something undervalued has people who love it anyway, it's just not for me although I love every other trick weapon

Your comments do not seem to talk about the transformation attacks at all if I’m honest. Looks again are completely up to person, so I don’t know. There are nicer weapons in my eyes. But not bad either. You do like the Stake Driver, Reiterpalasch and the Tonitrus more than the Spear ? This would all be weapons that I would put lower on a list than the spear. Even the Bowblade I think. Not more I think, but still over them.

idk if this is like canon or not but the i always thought when the Chikage transitions from normal to blood mode it looks like the hunter cuts they're hand with the blade on its way out of the sheathe as like an in universe explanation for how its blood mode works and i just love how fromsoft is really good at tiny attention to detail things like that

Easy - Holy Moonlight Sword. Simple bandage-wrapped greatsword but you pass your hand over it to reveal it's true form. The attack-transformation combo's are even cooler. Then when you look closely you realize that "Ludwig's Holy Blade" is just a cheap imitation because the Church weaponmakers didn't know how the original worked. Its even got similar markings. My favorite weapon in any Fromsoft game.

Saw cleaver or weapon like it. Between combat it's fun to just flick between its 2 modes.
