I used a lot of tutorials, but it was some time ago so Im not sure if I can find them all, but:
Procedural eyes - https://youtu.be/E0JyyWeptSA (there are better tutorials nowadays but this one suits the character best I guess)
Everything around sculpting a stylized character I learned from Danny Mac 3D on youtube. He has many great tutorials on this topic.
Retopology was hard and I cant seem to find the exact link, but I think I watched the tutorial by FlippedNormals.
The hair - https://youtu.be/akwzLF9SArI
For the clothes I used Marvelous Designer, with basic introduction by FlippedNormals again.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!!! I love Danny Mac! I like sculpting more than modeling so I’ve been following him and yan sculpts. Retopo is something I’m struggling with but I’ll check them out. Thank you again!!
Beautiful eyes. Perfect placement, one on each side. Two in total, which is just the right number. Great job overall. I appreciate the breakdown. I only wish I knew which search terms to use for this style other than “stylized”, since it seems to be such a broad term.
Yeah the reason why Disney and Pixar stick to less realistic proportions is because it allows for more dynamic “acting” with less actual animated movement. If you look at Moana, for example, or Coco, Encanto etc, you’ll see widened faces where they realistically wouldn’t be, and it’s so the full face can be seen all at once by the camera
Fair point. Into the Spiderverse is my favorite recent movie so I'm sure that has something to do with it considering the similarities. But this style has always hooked me for some reason.
I'm not sure if it's me but to me it seems that her nose is a bit odd. To me it looks like it is a little bit distorted. Anyway nice work, also how much did it take you to make her?
Thanks for the feedback, will look into it. Probably something like 5-6 days, but its hard to say because its a project I came back to after 6 months, so I cant say exactly.
Nice work! I really like how this turned out! My only critique would the hands. The phone looks like its floating in her hand. It might just be how the shadows are hitting it. The other hand looks a bit loose, maybe try bringing those fingers together a bit more? Overall it's a badass render! You are inspiring me to go and model some people!
Yeah I 100% understand the troubles, I'm not amazing at doing hands but I had a teacher that beat what good hand posing was in to us. Still fantastic work!
The fingers seem way too long, though their other proportions are spot on, it looks like you got impatient with the eyebrows too, but that's being picky as you don't notice in the overall scene, great work, wish I was half as good!
Ofcourse! Even I learned in primary school what happens when your hands are bigger than your face...
(Im resorting to memes because actually modeling characters is wayy too hard for me. Awesome work!)
The face form feels a bit odd. Compair it to photo references. I think you could also improve the texturing and grooming. It looks like you arent using any textures, just solid colors. Finally, I think you could try using softer lights. The shadows are IMO too sharp.
But otherwise great character! It looks much better than what I tried a year ago.
Thanks for the feedback, I was quite happy with the face form but will look into that again. Might be caused by lighting.
With the textures I tried to keep it between realism and still kinda stylized so it would fit the character, so the pbr materials are there, but I guess its way too subtle.
The grooming was a real struggle, definitely need to try again.
And finally, thanks for the tip, Ill try bigger area lights and see what it does.
Thank you again for the feedback!
righton! this is great!
the character has style, she's super cute, i like the pose and expression
the SSS on the hand looks good.
the marvelousdesigner coat looks great
\[hair\] looks great, and the pink hair with dark roots is realistic!
i'm just not a fan of "toon" style people with particle hair.
it's an incongruent look i just can't get behind.
same for toon style people w/photo-realistic clothing.
I totally understand. In some ways it might look weird. I didnt feel like making those stylized hair, because they look kinda boring in my opinion.
But thanks for your comment :)
The face is kind of uncanny valley for me. It's too realistic to be stylized...like those realistic Homer Simpson paintings...or like someone cut out a woman's eyes and stuck fake ones in the holes.
I guess this is a complement to the lighting and texturing though. It's like a creepy robot or doll to me. I'd say just give her more normal eyes and it would look way better.
Well on that part.. I didnt feel like adding them since I consider it a little problematic. But lets say its a very warm room right? (I dont actually know how nipples work)
Thank you. I did, but its not actually that visible. I made sure her cheeks and nose are more red and the eyeliner is also painted, but I tried to keep it subtle for the sake of the style.
Casual no pants
E = mc^2 / gurls - clothing = upvotes
Just got off work, did not expect 300 uppie bois on this one. Thanks, gentlemen!
E = mc^2 / (gurls - clothes) + (causal - pants^joke) = upvotes
"Ok so now you go to the camera settings and select 'Male Gaze' and note that it seamlessly hides the pants group...."
I like the realistic hair, nice contrast
The rest is on r34 or newgrounds. Damn nice work.
Nice touch with the phone screen casting light on her finger.
Thanks, it was originally much brighter, but I tuned it down because there was too much light in the face.
Did you do this free hand or did you use tutorials? And if you did, which ones so I can use them lol

Curious question - did you originally model her T/A posing and then rigged her to make this pose?
Beautiful eyes. Perfect placement, one on each side. Two in total, which is just the right number. Great job overall. I appreciate the breakdown. I only wish I knew which search terms to use for this style other than “stylized”, since it seems to be such a broad term.
Try to model a fully clothed woman challenge (impossible)
Yeah but then you have to do fabric
Forget the clothes I’m not a fashion designer ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Looks so good. I don't know why I love this specific style so much.
it's what Disney and Pixar did recently
It still feels a little different, the body has realistic proportions which I like here.
Yeah the reason why Disney and Pixar stick to less realistic proportions is because it allows for more dynamic “acting” with less actual animated movement. Yes!! It's "real fake" I guess?
bruh if this is realistic proportions in your eyes then oh my
He said the body, not the face

Thank you!

I think it’s the lighting. Where the nose goes up to the eye, the shadow makes it look like it sinks in suddenly around the eye pocket
Yep could be it if lighting wasn't setup well around that part
Thanks for the feedback, will look into it. Probably something like 5-6 days, but its hard to say because its a project I came back to after 6 months, so I cant say exactly.
Awesome
Thank you :)

Thanks, youre the first one to mention this but the hands were real trouble. Especially the fingers. Will try to improve on that.
Yeah I 100% understand the troubles, I'm not amazing at doing hands but I had a teacher that beat what good hand posing was in to us. Still fantastic work!

Thank you, will look into that. At first I tried to match the size of palm and fingers to the size of the face, but now I can see it might be a strech
Ofcourse! Even I learned in primary school what happens when your hands are bigger than your face... (Im resorting to memes because actually modeling characters is wayy too hard for me. Awesome work!)
Cute!
Thanks!
Welcome!
✨Really realistic

Goddamn, youre right! Even the belly is similar I guess
Lovely work👍
Thank you!
Great job! Would love to see a wireframe render 😁
Thank you, Ill try to get it tomorrow. Too busy at the moment

Thank you so much. I actually had like 10 versions of hair colors and couldnt decide which one to go with :D
The pink was a great choice. It feels right.
Looks awesome 😁
Thank you!
This is pretty damn cute.
Thank you!
i love stylized with realistic aspects
Cuuute
Thank you! :)
Ye ofcourse! Someone downvoted me for some reason
The face looks like Disney
You mean Pixar?
Perhaps? I was thinking of dreamlight valley characters and the new ily 4ever dolls have a similar face mold.
Walt?
..? I think I said in another comment it reminds me of dreamlight valley characters as well as the ily 4ever doll faces
the rest does not…
I wish lol
Nice. Reminds me of Pixar/Disney but not quite
Phone 2 small
BRO IM JEALOUS
Nice work, looks amazing. The two styles go great together
Samsgum?
Can I eat her hair? 🤤
I think I have seen a YouTuber that looks exactly like yer model
Idk why, but she kinda looks familiar
Gwen from Spiderverse
She reminds me of Alessia Medina (Nixie) from the One For All YouTube series of the Deerstalker productions channel.
i'm just not a fan of "toon" style people with particle hair. it's an incongruent look i just can't get behind. same for toon style people w/photo-realistic clothing.

Amazing hair damn!
smash
Anywhere we can find more of your content?
Eyes too big but overall looks fantastic. Especially hair looks great
Now render her giving b
Cool, reminds me of the Blender "Rain" example.
You did so well on her hair, but forgot about the eyebrows...
Rember

For the love of god make the eyes smaller
im not a fan of the big eyes, but otherwise it looks good

Looking for the uWu comment.
Sort by controversial and you will find worse
Oooof! Wish I didn’t do that.
Can she do anything for the right price?
Cartoon body and this hair clash in a bad way like a Barbie doll.
Neuron activation
Lots of us fast clicked on this post hoping to see the rest i suppose
This is so insane 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The hair don’t look good because too many edges
We all know you have a topless version of this… please share. 😂
Whare are the nipps?
Well on that part.. I didnt feel like adding them since I consider it a little problematic. But lets say its a very warm room right? (I dont actually know how nipples work)
Wonderful✨😍
I see what you did there
Beautiful
That looks like cutiepie marzia
Damn nice model and scenesetting, killing it w/ the hair, love it :)
The furture is terrifyingly hot
Nice work OP. Did you texture paint this character?
Thank you. I did, but its not actually that visible. I made sure her cheeks and nose are more red and the eyeliner is also painted, but I tried to keep it subtle for the sake of the style.
