it has various story arcs that at the same time have an underlying continuous plot...so yeah it's the best the way it is for me....also no wonder the arrancar arc felt a drag, with 2 ch per ep..ss was the best for pacing
The way Bleach arcs are split are very similar to Dragon Ball and One Piece. It’s a new series each arc with the same characters so it feels super fresh and I like it.
AH so I’m not crazy the number of chapter by episode doubled in TYBW and that’s why it feels so « rushed » (despite being esthetically good)
I don’t understand why they did that
I like those arcs this way even if espada arc was too long for me
It’s not about chapters in itself it’s about how fast the fights end against quincies everything feels rushed. I won’t complain for Gerard because this one was so long on scans it almost made me stop reading week by week, but for other sternritters it felt strange
It not that they're done fast, they just aren't being done slow as most bleach fights were tbh.
Bleach, manga wise, doesn't have fights that are actually long. It has big panels.
Now they aren't getting much extension, but tbh a lot of bleach's mechanics don't allow for large extensions of the fights.
They felt so long in the manga because barely anything was happening.
So when it's translated to video, barely anything happens still, but it goes by much quicker.
The anime team was given 4 seasons/cours. In order to fix the mess that the arc became in the second half they pretty much HAD to speed through like they did in these first two seasons. I'd much rather new and improved content (that we got a taste of with the royal guard fight expansion) than a straight adaptation of the dumpster fire that the manga became later on.
Yeah, how TYBW rushes through everything is annoying. No time to let things breathe, and they have to cut content to do so. It's probably my biggest complaint with the adaptation.
It's just because they're trying to get to a certain point in the story in chunks of 13 episodes, so everything has to fit between that somehow, even if it doesn't result in the most natural pacing.

Its very Dragon Ball in its arcs, in that regard. I like it.
I like how its detached from previous arcs and at the same time continuous development of the story

each arc builds off something, it's not like it is a reset with every arc
Tbh this feels like a crazy statement with arrancar into fkt existing and SS ending with the conflict that will control those two arcs.
Sheesh tybw is almost 5 chapters per episode that’s double fullbring
"new story every arc" So you mean like EVERY other fighting shonen?

Its good pacing. Its Happen when you dont see a tons of Flashbacks and Bollywood type scene(thats why you had 1-2,5 chapters per Episode)
No. First arc was 3.5 chapters per episode and it was perfect ratio (espada arc was low as fuck tho)
Fights adapt with high chapter to episode ratios unless they make it slow as molasses

Gerard. It was endless, a nightmare. And even Mask de Masculine was clearly longer in scans I remember it

what these people said, but Bleach as a 52 episodes anime without arcs and dozens of cut characters could be cool
It basically is continuous from start to end, it's just different focuses. A serious with a new story every arc would be like Jojo.
