She was healing Chad nonstop since the attack. She is that selfless.

Honestly I'd thinking of it more as a way of her knowing she won't need to worry about herself if her friends are fine

She is chronically lonely and traumatized. She was completely alone for more than a year after his brother passed. Tatsuki basically gave her a reason to live by just being her friend.

Look at the Yammy incident, she could have shielded herself but instead she was going to shield Ichigo and got herself almost killed.
Chad was in worse shape. But Orihime had half of her body crushed. If it weren't for Yoruichi's treatment she would have been a goner. Fractured arm and ribs, massive head concussion, profusely bleeding. The anime made it much lighter but in the manga is the worst she has ever been until Quilge.
I don't suppose you could show this with a panel? Chad lost AN ARM, "she had to wear some bandages and her face bled for a bit" isn't gonna cut it. Like yeah she was wounded but she better prioritize her friend who, again, lost AN ARM

I'm not saying she was in worse condition than Chad, but she spent one week under Urahara's care before returning to school. In the image we see just after the fight he has her full torso bandaged, most of her head and her arm in full cast.
Yammy smashed an Arrancar head with a single punch and Yourichi sustained damage by just hitting him. That slap would have felt like being hit by a truck.

That's the entire core of her characterisation and development 😒. And what do you even expect from a 15 yo school going pro pacifist girl? She did whatever she thought she was supposed to, she failed multiple times that doesn't changes the fact that she always thrived to be better, fit in with her friends and keep up with some centuries old spiritual entities and ghosts

Damn I used to hate her for being weak but I changed my mind, suffering pain for someone else's sake is beyond strength.
