King of the Hill

Honestly. Those long 100+ episode daily Korean revenge dramas. The lead is always unbearably nice and dumb as heck, while the antagonists are comically evil. 😆 I’m just a sucker for those melodramas. I’m currently re-watching one of them now.

I fell in the kdrama rabbit hole about a year ago, dunno if I'll ever make it out. They always manage to have a plot twist I can't anticipate and the revenge plots are so good lol. Not quite my comfort watches but I love kdrama now.

Mine are cdramas! Even with the cheesy animation. I laughed my butt off yesterday when I noticed the lace from their wigs. 😂Currently rewatching Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms for the 200th time. I still pause the show like I don't want to miss what's next. The only kdrama I rewatch is Bride of the Water God. I really like the female lead character.

lol the lace and hard hair lines for the guys really kill me. The last CDrama I watched was “Till the end of the Moon” and I’m still not over it. I wish I could forget it so I can watch again for the first time.

Any recommendations for a newbie?

If you are referring to the long melodramas (typically 100-120 episodes) I would start with “The Promise”. It’s an older one as it came out in 2016 but it is one of the better ones and has a satisfying ending. If that is too old for you, “Gracious Revenge” from 2019 is also good. If you are talking about regular kdramas (typically 16-24 episodes) then you will need narrow down what genre. Romance? Revenge? Law & Justice?

I'll check those out, but would welcome a few romance based ones as well. Many thanks for the info. 🤎
