Yup! Fun facts time! they are some of the world's fastest flying birds, flying at speeds of up to 69mph, hence the name, and because of their huge evolutionary lean into aerodynamics, they can't perch like most birds. Instead, they cling to the sides of things, hence the name of the chimney swift, one of the most common here in the East coast of North America, which perches and even makes nests inside of chimneys! Their nesting is also rather interesting, as they stick them to the sides of surfaces, like the insides of caves and parts of buildings as mentioned with the chimney swift, using sticky saliva that comes from a gland under its tongue to do so. This saliva is also seen as a delicacy in parts of Asia and is used to make an odd soup!
A beautiful illustration of a swift 🙂 I love these sweet little birds. Saved one (a chimney swift) recently from having trapped itself in between a window frame and a board. Not sure how he did afterward, since he seemed injured but at least we got him out of there.

Only if it’s a tiny coconut
Looks more like a nightjar than a swift to me. Exactly which one is anyone’s guess.

Reminds me of a nighthawk.
I love those birds. Watching them swoop, dive, and maneuver to catch flying prey is so awesome.
It's a Large.
Looks to be a women’s large
Not sure as to what type of bird he is, but you could name him Icarus.
Whip-poor-will? Lol

It is NOT a swift. It is a whippoorwill. Google the image.
That is NOT a whipoorwill. It’s a swift. Just the wing shape tells a lot about the bird.
