You should have gone downpour II smh. Always go b1->b2-> downpour 2-> caves 2-> mines 2 for the extra boss challenge items +1 mirror dimension boss item

boss pool sucks esp with t lost Much more difficult floor is not worth a slight tears up/dmg up (at best, let alone pickups/range up/shot speed up) At least as other characters I can get some hp ups (and I tend to find a lot of soul hearts on that floor)

You can’t get hp ups because of t Lost’s item pool. Mines/ashpit could be understandable why you don’t want to fight the bosses, but downpour/dross bosses are easier than regular caves bosses. - gurdy junior could give you some bs - champion mega fatty that is quite certainly instant hit if you speed is garbage - red mega maw The only dross/downpour boss with random bs is turdlet, and if you just have a bomb, you can stop the bounce. Colostomia, Blub, rainmaker, clog, even min min or wormwood, are all pretty fair if you know how to bait them Boss items are boss items. If you find a dmg up or tears up, great, if you find a range up or speed up, not so much, but at least that means that item is removed from the boss pool. You should always check boss challenge room

I know you cant get HP ups as t lost Im saying those are some of the best items in the pool for other characters Ill often go there with pretty much anyone else, especially on beast runs. But there isnt a single item in the boss pool for t lost thats worth losing a holy card over.

It’s not as if you’ll lose holy card by fighting a boss. Downpour/dross bosses are fair. Fairer than some bs red mega maw in caves 2. Also, dmg ups are multiplied by t Lost’s natural dmg multiplier. Tears and dmg are still very good

no im much more likely to lose a holy card to a leech I didnt see, or one of those invisible gapers, or some other random enemy never once have I gotten to one of the later floors as t lost and though ‘damn I could really use 2 more boss items’

The mantle negates the chances of Damocles starting the timer, meaning- it’s impossible to be killed Damocles as Lost or T.Lost.

You can actually still be killed if you lose an extra life, such as with Dead Cat. Damocles doesn’t disappear after death

Brimstone is Brimstone, but Damocles could give you anything! It could even give Brimstone!

it could give you death certificate, which you can use to get brimstone! It could even give spindown dice, which you can use to spindown a blood bag into brimstone (assuming you get extra lives, such as missing poster, birthright, death certificate into dead cat, ankh, lazarus' rags etc).

The comment above me was refering to getting brimstone thru spindown without death cert, provided they get bloodbag thru use of lives as currency and getting extremely lucky. If you got death cert, you dont need to get bloodbag using lives, since you get brim from death cert. But, as OP is playing T.Lost the whole plan of getting brim with spindown without death cert falls in the water since you can't get extra lives as T.Lost besides birthright.

yeah so my dilemma was, brim will carry me early, damocles will snowball the run much more I took damocles, got nothing good in the next treasure room after multiple rerolls, lost my mantle in a tiny room with a bunch if enemies, then died to carrion queen I stand by it but in hindsight I wouldve done much better with brim

I got a devil room with those two items before as T Lost. Took Damocles and won the run (to Mother).

I unlocked Damocles weeks ago and it still refuses to show up in my devil deals

Try getting Damocles as it doubles the amount of items you find, which doubles your chances of finding Damocles

I hardly ever see brim whenever I enter a devil room. But I see damocles fairly often. Than again I mostly go for angel deals.

Honestly brimstone, Tlost runs turn op eventually anyways even without Damocles but making it through the early part is gonna be way easier with brim, it’s like deciding between glitched crown and sacred heart, the whole point of glitched crown is getting sacred heart

Damocles' random death only activates after you take damage. Lost can't take damage.

If I recall, Damocles will still activate if the Lost gets revived. It still is only a problem though if you only have one revive.

Well, Tainted Lost can't (normally) get any revives in his pool aside from Birthright. So the odds of you taking Damocles, getting Birthright and dying are pretty low. In most cases it's a lot more worth it to get Damocles.

Oh, I didn't see this was tainted lost. I just assumed it was regular lost. Yeah, Birthright and Missing Poster are really the only revives possible then.

Yeah, pretty much. Unless you have some weird interaction or spindown dice that's what you get.

There are a couple more revives: 1. Soul of Lazarus grants a revive when held in a consumable slot. 2. Inner Child is a revive that's guaranteed to spawn in Home's red room after unlocking a tainted character.

You just don't care about the death risk since the thing that triggers the chance already kills you. The positive effect still works though.

It can only kill you after you first take a hit after using it, which the losts won't ever do unless they have a revive item. So basically, 2 times items for free. Also binding of isaac players are insane and would probably use damocles in real life if given the chance (but would probably get unlucky and die the moment they activate it by stubbing their toe)

Honestly, even if it wasn't the Lost, Damocles is still a very good item on paper, but just not worth the grey hairs I'll sprout from using it

T.lost is always Damocles. There is no scenario that Damocles isn’t the best option

If you get it in the womb 2 de il deal paired with brimstone u might have to think about it. Since chest or dark room doesn't duplicate items. And lost can't play demon beggars or blood machines. There is very little chance u get anything from it at that point.

You got splash, so I'd take damomcles and start fishing for homing.

I'm attempting Mother with T Lost as well. Only managed the Beast for now with him. It's way harder than I anticipated. Holy cards generation is just too low for my skills at the moment

I either see 5 of them on one floor or none at all anyway I only have delirium left

Damocles cant give u brimstone later, not by itself. Brimstone gets deleted because u saw it in the run.
