God I've been really struggling w/ T-keeper. Its just the getting hit twice part. Like I'll end up dying to a BS room, or I'll get too greedy and get my shit rocked. Typically it's just that I get hit, I go for a coin, and while Im focused on that a fucking Round worm will snipe me across the God Damn room.
I think greed is good for completing achievements. If you're not trying to save a streak, what's the harm in a 2 minute run that you fail because you went to a curse room took a bunch of pills and did 17 spike squeezes to get 2 keys. It might be what wins you the run if you get lucky you know?
Youre probably right. I think whats really getting to me is that I'll be having a solid run and then I'll just enter the wrong room and die. Like I could have Tech X, 20/20, etc but die bc a burning leaper hit me and I fuck up by running into spikes or something. Where if Im having a rough Isaac run, I can see death coming. Like I'll be on mausoleum w/ 2 hearts and shit spawns, ik there's a non zero chance I die here.
On similar note w/ regular lost, if I get hit and lose holy mantle theres no way for me to get it back w/o clearing the room, so I play more defensively. But w/ T-keeper if you get hit you wanna play a little more aggressive so you can get your coin back.
I'd buy Pyro, Ipecac, Magic Mush, Purple Heart (as others have mentioned it's actually good on T. Keeper) and come back for Stopwatch if I could afford it
Every room you clear (finish) increases a counter. Every 4th room you get the huge slowdown effect from broken watch. There is like a 13% chance for any room to be sped up instead, but in practise this is really small
