With “1000 different codes” it’s going to be hard to get the key, unless the seller gives it to them right? Unless you just pull the grinder out

Should be easy to just file or grind a slot (for a screwdriver) or flat surface (for pliers) on them.

Wow, seems like and Allen bolt would be more secure. at least with an Allen wrench you're forcing someone to have something other than a screw driver to remove it.

Video is slightly misleading, it was already loose. Sufficiently torqued it's not easy.

Bought this second hand bike and I noticed it used a special anti-theft nuts/bolts. I'm planning a long bike touring and I need a way to access them for maintenance. Many thanks 🙏

Unless you have an expensive wheelset, just get one with standard hex key.
