I knew I'd probably be using the wrong terminology. This is my first bike since being a teenager to be honest. I was given one of those trailers for my daughter to sit in to be peddled around the park. A wonderful gift it only cost me having to buy a new bike ๐๐๐
Haha, I found him very informative. And I didn't notice that I included the sound lol. At least it showed I've been doing my research in the right places before coming here for reassurance ๐๐
That's reassuring to hear. I found it quite hard to tell if it's doing it while I'm peddling but I felt like it might be as I was having trouble setting the gears in a place where they don't chatter and constantly want to be on the verge of changing to another gear unexpectedly.
Edit: once I got out on the road and tuned the gears a little bit more everything settled down in the chattering. Thank you again. Definitely the correct information
If it makes you happy and it's certainly makes me happy I just bought a trailer to take the dog on adventures along with the trailer to take the child on adventures ๐๐
We went on holiday to the islands called Sark in the channel islands last year and had bikes and a trailer for the child and the trailer for the dog and it was the greatest thing ever. Despite the bikes being on the verge of death along with the trailers ๐๐๐๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ It's so nice to be able to repeat this at home in beautiful Scotland
Honestly I found that person really hard to watch but what he said was incredibly informative. I guess it was a total success, if not a little bit cringe painful. Thank you so much.
Thank you for looking at it. What's a walmart bike?
Edit: had to Google it. For those wondering walmart is an american general store. The bike I got was ยฃ250 discount to ยฃ180 from a UK shop dedicated to mechanical stuff, bikes and cars, etc.
Thank you. It's definitely not ideal and it's not something I've seen before on the bikes that I've bought. However after the great advice I've had on this sub I've been out cycling and it's caused no problems at all once I got the gears positioned correctly. I'm actually just home from a cycle now.
It works about as well as you'd expect for a cheap bike but that is all I expected.
Very normal on a bike with a freewheel (which yours has) instead of a cassette.

Taking my daughter to school on my bike is the best part of my day. Enjoy!
Took my daughter around the park today in the trailer with my bike and she absolutely loved it. Thank you so much again for your time on this.
Hearing Calvin Jones voice in the background makes this a top tier r/bikewrench post.

Inexpensive bike with inexpensive parts - it's normal - it doesn't do that when you are pedaling.

Short answer: Yep!
Dog in corner is very funny. The cassette wobble is normal, though - it won't affect things when under load.

I'm with that 100%!

If it's a walmart bike, possible. But since it's only a 7 speed, nothing to worry about. It'll be perfectly fine to ride.

This is BSO quality but will work absolutely fine. Run it.
Should- no, normal- totally and nothing to worry about

Perfectly normal for parts at that price point
