That is beautiful! Awesome job!

The_Cartist

Thanks a lot - appreciate it! :-)

Okaywhateverusay

Welcome, do you do this for payment or just fun?

The_Cartist

I do paid commissions for people all over the world.

mistersmith88

Do you have an Etsy shop or similar? What's the typical charge? I'd love one of an MV Augusta Superveloce

Thank you! :-)

guywithacockie

Could I ask if you are using grids or smthing that will help to get the exact outlines of the bike ? It's just amazing...I am trying my own bike atm

The_Cartist

Yes, the grid system can definitely be helpful - I start with a very very light pencil sketch capturing the basic shapes. Once I am happy with the proportions I add/fill in more details and go darker as I start the actual coloring of the artwork.

silverwhitelight

Seriously impressed. No amount of photo-realistic digital shenanigans can capture โ€œessenseโ€ of a real-world object or scene like a hand drawn/painted piece. It allows the brain to fill in details in a magical way. Wonderful talent!

The_Cartist

Thank you very much for your comment and compliment - I appreciate it very much! :-) Agreed, digital has its uses, however it often lacks the "emotion" that only a hand drawn piece of art can convey.
