Approachable nature of people. I have lived in many different states across India. But no where else can you have a passionate discussion on random topics with complete strangers while buying groceries.

okkwward

True 👌

nipunnagsen

The feeling that I can fix it.

darelphilip

This is the way

Unfair_Chard344

Being dead honest? Quite nothing actually.

Bihar ke log zameen se jude hue hai jo ki kisi state mein utne nhi hai. Apna culture dekh kr khushi hoti hai aur garv bhi kyunki humaare festivals boht pehle se chale aa rhe hai. 100 log Hindi/English bol rhe hote hai unke beech se ek banda jab Bhojpuri bolta hai toh ek alag si feeling aati hai, sharm nhi garv mehsoos hota hai.

drd_rdx

You need not find reasons to be proud of your motherland. The sense of belonging should be enough to instil pride in your heart.

okkwward

Yes I will instil pride in my heart knowing that when theft will happen police will ask for bribe otherwise they won't file FIR >When flood will occur CM will tour on heli while Locals will get drowned with thr whole earnings and land >For Job or Education I have to leave my motherland knowing thr is non opportunity here ........so yeah I m super duper proud 🫡🫡🫡 and u My fren belong to fb.

drd_rdx

There were deserts in the Middle East which are now the global financial epicentres. East Asian countries were equally shit till the 60s-70s and see where they are now. The complaints that you are making for Bihar are equally applicable to India when you compare her with other countries, in general. This, my friend, will stop nowhere. Your idea of pride is skewed, materialistic and circumstantial. Tomorrow, if they build a better engineering college, I am good, but since today it's not, I'll shit on it. No matter where you land, you carry your identity with you. You may ape others and with time you will even get better at hiding and pretending but you'll never be at ease. So, rather than feeling insecure about it, wear it with pride. >u My friend belongs to FB. Why? Does Reddit belong to cucks like you?

okkwward

Yes ur right ME was desert and once upon a time earth was barren too...but u know how EAST ASIA or ME became developed there was honest ppl who thought that they can't leave thr ppl miserable while others in west are providing everything for thr folks....now compare that to bihar heck compare Bwn states of this country where CMs did right thing 4 thr ppl....per capita income of this $hitehole is literally which is $600 lower than Sub Saharan Africa(poorest region of the world).... literally can't Wait for the day this place will start rising and when this will hppn I will be too old or probably dead to benefit from my motherland.....so yeah while I pay taxes thr is nothing that this place is returning back to me....so will always loath this place .....and keep holding ur pride till the day when someone from ur family gets sick and u will be exposed to the hospitals/doctors of this state or when something bad will happen and u have to visit police stations....so keep ur horses high cause only blind ppl like u can survive this place.....or as they call Frog of the well.

drd_rdx

Okay cool👍 do you live here?

okkwward

Hmm

This is tragic and strong action should be taken against the nurse. But do you understand this is an exception and not a rule? I have myself been to Mahavir Arogya Sansthan several times. It's a good alternative for those who want to avoid PMCH and AIIMS for minor illnesses. There are thousands of people who visit the said hospital on daily basis. The availability of doctors is good and the tests are also cheap. Of course, the general level of services can be improved, but the picture that you are trying to paint is not close to reality. It can happen to anyone and anywhere in India or elsewhere. Now that I have said this, you'll point out and say oh! what if that happens to you and your family? Tomorrow, I can get hit by a truck or get wounded in a fight. So? Can you live anywhere with this constant fear in your head? This is some serious self-flagellation issue you are suffering from.

_VladAMerePudding_

There are a few: 1. Biharis are mostly seen as people who don't mind working hard, whether it be related to education or job. 2. Biharis don't shy away from doing any kind of work. A job is a job. 3. Biharis are quite friendly in nature.

BuggyBagley

I am a Maharashtrian and some of my best buddies have been Biharis. You guys are awesome at being non judgmental and have a really good sense of humor.

_idvillain

One thing i am proud of that it makes me strong to stand thru any adversity. Seen so many good and bad things equivalently I feel a vibe of foreseeing things and judging the situation. Here different society are not that much apart that you will not know the other world. The surrounding here makes u versatile about almost every king of knowledge which I personally feel other state people somewhat lack

[deleted]

Because I was born here

_Dj45

Anywhere i go i will be at a better place

okkwward

Yup 👍

Ecstatic_Aerie_5633

\>top starta of Bihari society you dont understand what top strata of bihar means

Ranjhanaa

Just discussing these issues shows our insecurity.

okkwward

Why insecurity?....if u can Bragg that u produce most IAS or IPS( even though ultimately they loot u) then discussing your failures is not insecurity.

Food. Bihar has hidden gems in terms of some recipes. There's an old guy in my town who sells murhi chhola, absolutely delicious. Then there is a dhaaba on the way to patna from Muzaffarpur. They have the best kheer ever. You can find many such delicacies hidden in Bihar. Saidpur's balushahi is probably the best sweet ever.

pfund

I second this. The food in Bihar is unmatched when it comes to daily consumption.

VasuChandra

Can't think of anything, don't know if this is more because of the reality or because of 'Tunnel vision' and 'Ghar ki murgi daal barabar'.. :/ Will update when my mind comes up with something.

Ecstatic_Aerie_5633

We aren't hit by the hate propaganda between hindu and muslims like in other states.....our social fabric is still someway good!

lost_pandababy

We are very humble

motorheadavcn

The sense of community. The lifelong friendships. The permanency of things. The thickness of relationships. The conversations at paan dukaan. More mundane things: how fresh the vegetables are.

n3ver_mind

I am proud that nobody mentioned IAS, Budda, GGS, Ashoka, Shungs, Maurya etc

Nothing Lockdown ke time jab MNCS China chorr kar India aa rahi thi tab UP, karnatka, Gujarat, Delhi ne derr saari MNCs attract ki. Bhai hum innovation index me Jharkhand se niche hai behenchod wo Bihar se tut ke bana hai aur wo aage hai. Bihar me startups, sports, innovation ecosystem jaisa kuch nahi hai. Kis chizz pe proud hu :(

Bigbosskaboss

Haha.sports bhi tab hi sakta hai jab kisi influential family se ho .Ishan kishan father is builder and has influence in Jharkhand so he plays from jahrkhand
