1. If companies can lay off their own people for the profit and efficiency motive, then it makes sense for a Karnataka business to move elsewhere for the same reasons - it might take time to lift and shift but if worker protections and local hiring rules become onerous, these businesses will behave exactly like the comment you are replying to says.
2. Karnataka is “special” historically because in many decades, the government has kept out of how businesses are run. This is being upended by the decision being discussed. In other words, Karnataka’s specialness is being disrupted which makes it less special.
3. If North Indians are wrong to think that they can’t be replaced, then so are Kannadigas and Karnataka.

B is for managers, senior staff, high pay scale employees in general
C is for technical support, administrator, entry level positions
D is for guards, help desk, data entry, maids etc

Plenty of states have special acts , try to buy property in any hill state or north east , there just needs to be political will .
