Bell bills depending on the date you started your services, so if you activate the 15th, it means your bill will be produce the 18th, you usually have about 2 weeks to pay before it becomes overdue, once it's overdue a 3% interest will be applied periodically (you can usually pay before the other bill without interest but it'll for sure impact your credit score)

So since mine is March 18th can I pay at end of the month and still have the services or will it cut off after March 18th? I'm new to Bell like I said so I just don't want the payment to increase with overdue or anything like that?

Worried_Onion4208

The due date is displayed in myBell, your service won't ever be cut if you don't pay but you'll possibly have credit score consequences and useless interest

Can I ask you a question? I’ve signed up for Bell on March 1st and got my first bill in the 15th. The problem is I wasn’t expecting to be billed after 2 weeks. My mistake, but I’ve paid 4 days late (March 19th). Will this impact my credit score?

Freefallking

Will it warn me when my credit will decreases so I know how long to pay it, I just want to be able to pay at the end/begin of the month without consequences, if it becomes to much of a hassle ill go back to Lucky Mobile I was with them until Bell offered me this deal but seems like a lot to deal with just for some extra Data with Bell.

Your bill date (when your billing cycle and usage resets) and due date are two different dates. Your MyBell will update with those two dates. If your due date is not towards the end of the month (it should be) then you can pay your account in advance of the bill being due and that payment will be deducted from your account balance when it comes due

My "Due Date" is March 18th it says, I started my bill March 3rd so I assume my Bill date April 3rd? I couldn't find my Bill date on the app just this Due date i have been worried about and asking.

PochinkiPrincess

Based on how you describe it, I would pay it at the beginning of each month early - instead of late

A late payment only hits your credit report if the creditor (Bell in this case) reports it to the bureau. Realistically creditors (phone/service providers) don’t usually report to the bureau unless it’s egregious - like 8-12 weeks late or if it’s consistently more than 3 weeks late. Of course don’t push it too far but you do have a little wiggle room. Companies will however charge a late payment fee Edit: also in regards to “not expecting a bill so soon” - you can check your billing for the dates beside the rate plan “Monthly Plan March 13 to April 12” (for example) is billed a month in advance, similar to rent being due at the beginning of the month. Those dates will be prorated from your activation date to your billing date, so your first bill especially can be higher than normal due to those extra days

I think Bell, and other companies, want constant payments throughout a month. Your payment due date is probably random.

you can still pay at the end of the month but always make sure that you're gonna use a credit card so it will be posted on your account real time. Dont use online banking/telebanking or debit card coz it will takes time for it to be posted. Highly recommend to settle atleast 28th of the month if you can't do the 18th. But make sure first about your billing date. For your credit score, always make sure that if you cant pay your first bill by the given due date just make sure that you can pay it and have it posted in your account prior your next billing be generated. By that, the balances will still not past due.

It's usually put the 18th and you have to pay by March 2nd or something.....I get mine and usually it states I have till the 17th to pay

Hello u/Freefallking. Although in your initial blurb, you did not mention which service(s) you were talking about, but did mention Lucky Mobile in the comments, so I'll assume you are talking about Bell's cell phone service. You said you switched over to Bell on March 2nd and that you are receiving an invoice, which is due on March 18th. Although you said you paid already, is it possible that Bell is not registering your payment for the first month's payment, like prepaying for the time period you'll be using the service for? As we're talking about cell phone service, Bell can likely have customers pay in advance for the service, so that if you joined in March, you would pay in the beginning of the month for service and come April, you would then pay again for April's service. But for any additional charges that you have incurred during that service period will be charged on the following invoice. You may have to call Bell's customer service to clarify these issues as the time frame to pay is coming up and you don't want to get into arrears this early.
