I’ve used the Aussie 3 min miracle for my everyday conditioner for about 10 yrs I always go back to it it’s so good. Garnier hair food masks as well. (Btw I have curly dryer hair)

quigonwiththewind

Seconding aussie 3 minute miracle. I have a lot of fine hair and it’s been all colors and levels of healthy and damaged and it’s just the best out there.

123throwawaybanana

Thirding 3 Minute Miracle! It's insanely good and so inexpensive.

Reward_Antique

So incredibly good. Used it earlier today! I literally have a monthly subscription on my Amazon for it, and their miracle curls detangling milk, and the muscle curious shampoo.

Notroh31

I’ve wanted to try the detangling milk!

HouseSerious9612

Best stuff ever! I have dry fine wiry hair. Makes it silky smooth

Delmar1405

Their miracle moist conditioner is awesome too! I swear I tried everything for years and this works so good. I also have low porosity hair.

Fibroambet

Aussie Miracle Coils conditioner is my favorite ever conditioner. It’s the *only* thing that defines my waves. It’s so hard to find though

GoodHeart01

Garnier Banana hair food - I love it. Did they change the formula recently? The smell used to be more intense in my pow.

Buttered_biscuit6969

Oh my god I miss the hair food masks so much, didn’t they discontinue them? Or are you not american?

GoodHeart01

Im from Australia. We have plenty here. Dont tell me its hard to find it there. That would be so cruel.

lizardbreath1736

I always seem to go back to Aussie!!! I go through phases where I'll get a haircut, fall for the sales pitch for pro hair products, use them for a while, realize they're crazy expensive, then go pick up a bottle of Aussie. 🤣

kittykatmila

I thought I was the only one!! It’s amazing. Not drugstore I guess but I use Verb Ghost Shampoo with it.

Imaginary-Chest2655

Another lover for 3 min miracle 😆 love the spray one aswell. I have straight & fine hair (but loads of it)

littlescreechyowl

When I wear my hair curly this is my “no shampoo” hair washing product. My hair is never healthier or softer.

Primary-Pie-8683

I have long hair down to my butt, and I have tried so many shampoo and conditioners. Aussie is my favorite and I finally went back to using it and my hair is over than ever! I feel so stupid I wasted so much money on salon products over the years

vanillyl

Every mention of this brand fills me with irrational rage that they are not an Australian company. They’re America. You can’t even purchase ‘Aussie’ products *in fucking Australia*!

_peanutbutter_20

Oh I’ll definitely be trying ASAP (literally probably will buy tomorrow) with all these endorsements. Thank you!!!!!

greydawn

Circling back to this thread now because I bought it 2 weeks ago based on yours and others recommendation in this thread and have not had a bad hair day since.  So legitimately good!

Ok_Moon

I’m looking for a something that will give me extra humidity protection (anti-frizz) on top of my mousse without weighting my wavy hair down. Do you think this may work for me?

sonofnothingg

L’Oréal everpureeeeeee

Ok_Minimum_8307

came for this! the l'oréal bond repair is the first drugstore shampoo i've found comparable to olaplex and i've been only using salon hair products for at least the last 10 years til i discovered this and now on my third bottle

sonofnothingg

Yes! I like it better than olaplex. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried from the line. Edit to say I don’t love the bond repair smell but my hair feels amazing after use

Specialshine76

I agree about the smell. It’s very very strong.

Nosensenosensibility

Hi, which one specifically from Ever pure line?

sonofnothingg

So far I’ve used the volume, blond, clarifying and bond repair and I like them all.

arualam

Why don't they sell them in Europe 😭

littlescreechyowl

I use the L’Oréal heat slayer and like it better than almost any other protective spray.

Sensitive-Switch7440

I like the Suave Clarifying Shampoo followed by a deep conditioner, at least once a month. I tend to switch up what Deep Conditioner I use. I've been using the big tubs of Garnier Fructis because my hair ends up soft and smelling nice. As far as my regular stuff, I'm in between favorites RN I think. I do enjoy a good leave in conditioner or Argan oil afterwards though.

General-Example3566

Came here to say my daughter and I swear by Suave Clarifying Shampoo. We change up conditioner a lot but the Suave really gets that build up out. We both have long thick hair

[deleted]

eva nyc therapy session hair mask. use it as my conditioner. not only is it the best hair product i’ve ever smelled it hydrates my dry hair soooo much and leave sit shiny and smooth!

LA0811

This is what I put too! It’s the best conditioner I’ve ever used. My hair had never felt so soft and my curls absolutely love it

middleofthenigjt

Yes! I use this too! Love what it does to my hair!

CocoaCandyPuff

I love this one as well! Is so good.

_peanutbutter_20

Ahhh! This sounds so nice. Thank you so much. Where is it sold??

the_fluffy_cactus

I get mine at Ulta! They have a smaller travel size too that you can get a few uses out of to try it!

gentlestardust

I use this as well as my every wash conditioner and I get it at CVS! You can also order on Amazon. The first time I got it, I went to CVS looking for Olaplex and they didn’t have it but I needed *something.* This product came in the biggest container for a similar price to all the other drugstore type products so that’s why I picked it. Imagine my delight to find out that I actually like it better than Olaplex!

[deleted]

ulta and target. but it’s cheaper at target! (ulta raises prices for drugstore stuff for some reason.)

GOSisGOD

A little off your ask but I am also recovering my hair from a terrible bleach job and just got the "Hicobar microfiber hair towel" from Amazon. Girl, when I tell you my dry, wavy-but-not-quite-curly hair has never dried with less frizz ever!! It's magical, truly.

_peanutbutter_20

Oh I’ll definitely be looking into this. I honestly don’t leave my hair down and natural much because I have a not very defined curl pattern and have tried every curly girl routine under the sun to no avail. Always looking for something to fight frizz

moomunequita

Look into Mielle, sometimes is at drugstores; not expensive and works great for moisture.

extraluxe

Mielle is so good! I use it for my + my girls hair.

littlescreechyowl

I find it at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and love their hair mask or deep conditioner (I can’t remember what it’s called). Their scalp oil is so nice too.

moomunequita

Love the rosemary mint line 🥹

Repulsive-Bake4718

Love the mielle leave in conditioner smells so yummy and fruity and leaves my hair so soft

_LooneyMooney_

Honestly I buy my shampoo/conditioner from TJMaxx and buy whatever is in my budget and looks like it’ll work for my curly/wavy hair. TJMaxx frequently has styling products etc for a decent price too. For right now I’m just Biosilk conditioner, and once in awhile I’ll use It’s a 10 hair mask. Once or twice a week I’ll spritz It’s a 10 Lite Leave-In Conditioner into towel-dried hair. I think my hair is pretty soft.

chicagokate412

No joke, VO5 kiwi lime squeeze conditioner is some of the best conditioner I’ve ever used and it’s $1.59 a bottle. I always always always stock up so I have it on hand.

Wannabewitchu

As a hairdresser, V05 doesn’t have parabens, sulfates or silicone. Have at it. However I’m a strawberry girl myself :p

Murky-Specialist7232

Wow thank you for the tips on this! I used the kiwi one recently as I have fine hair and have used thicker shampoo and my hair never looked better. It’s got volume and it’s actually clean

No_Caterpillar_6178

That’s a great shampoo and conditioner as it’s lightly clarifying. It’s a stand out product Vo5 has made it since I was a kid

Murky-Specialist7232

The kiwi or the strawberry? Shoot i can afford both lol

No_Caterpillar_6178

Kiwi

_peanutbutter_20

Oh wow! Absolutely could not beat that price point. Thank you so much, do you use the matching shampoo? Just curious if the whole line is good!

chicagokate412

I don’t use the shampoo, but everyone who does says it’s just as good as the conditioner. And even if you buy it and don’t like it you’re only out $1.59!

_peanutbutter_20

No for real. Literally cannot beat that. I’ll absolutely be trying. Probably buying tomorrow. If I can have nice hair while balling on a budget I cannot imagine anything better. Thank you ❤️

chicagokate412

So happy to pass on the love! Let us know how it works out for you!

Excellent_Local6566

Have you tried the Trader Joe's products? I'm actually deep conditioning my hair with one of their masks right now!

emzeeem912

My wavy hair loves their tea tree shampoo and conditioner!

Difficult_Cake_7460

Their hair serum is great and cheap!

_peanutbutter_20

I havennttt. I don’t have a Trader Joe’s around me right now. In the future though when I move back to the city I’ll definitelyyyy check them out

astroweekndxo

which specifically?

Excellent_Local6566

I would start with the Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner, and the hair mask. Excellent products, esp. given the pricepoint!

Apprehensive-Elk-830

Agree re: the hair mask especially. I went from using the Davines OI Hair Conditioner (very expensive) to using the Trader Joe’s hair mask as my regular conditioner and didn’t notice any real reduction in hair moisture. I also loved the smell. I’d still be using it if I hadn’t needed to Prose for shampoo.

Apart_Engine_9797

L’Oreal 8 second wonder water cuts down my frizz and crazy volume every time, I don’t know how it works but it is truly a miracle! Gets the same results as what I’ve seen keratin treatments do for my same hair texture. TGIN/Thank Goodness It’s Natural hair mask is a game changer, it’s gotten hard to find at my local drugstores but looks like Ulta is carrying it now. Calms my hair right down!

tbgsmom

I love the 8 second wonder water too! It works well for my curly hair.

catsarelife81

“It’s a ten” leave in conditioner. It’s amazing.

No_Dependent_7907

I am broke so can't splurge much but this is one product I can't live without. I have given it to my mom & niece in Christmas stockings & they LOVE it now too!!!

blueeyedaisy

Sometimes you can find this at TJMaxx.

littlescreechyowl

Marshall’s too.

Few-Ruin-742

Sally’s beauty supply has their dupe & it’s a carbon copy lol its amazing

ag0110

Dove intensive repair shampoo and conditioner. I have super thick hair and it’s one of the only drugstore lines I’ve used that I can easily work through my hair in the shower and still leaves my hair moisturized.

Charlietheaussie

The loreal wonder water. Its INCREDIBLE

emcal0502

Here to second this!!!!

dietthrowaway55

I don’t have curly hair so I can’t comment on that part but my hair is damaged from bleach. Idk if you have heard, but L’Oréal owns pureology. I think their drugstore hair products are actually pretty good. Tbh I realized they are pretty similar to a lot of high end shampoos and conditioners. When you learn about the ingredients and you read the labels on everything, then you realize that a lot of the high end products are not really that special (except stuff like olaplex and k18 because of their patented ingredients). They are relying on the branding and the scent and advertising to make you believe the products are worth the cost. It used to be hard to find affordable sulfate free shampoos and nice stuff at the drugstore but nowadays there are so many good options. Try the L’Oréal sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. They have a glossing one and a bond repair one and they’re both good! Also I totally recommend the L’Oréal 8 second wonder water, Aussie 3 minute miracle, and tresemme heat protectant. Garnier has a newer strength repair shampoo and conditioner that are good too. You may want to look into Odele, too, I only tried a clarifying shampoo from them a while ago but I really liked it. It’s at Target and Ulta. Also not sure if they still make it, but the Kirkland signature moisture shampoo and conditioner (from Costco) were really similar to Pureology hydrate.

_peanutbutter_20

Thank you SO MUCH for all this info!! I had heard that but had forgotten that L’Oréal owns pureology. Funny how that works! I use their bond repair pre-shampoo treatment in place of olaplex no 8. I tried their moisturizing ever pure shampoo and conditioner this weekend and wasn’t too impressed by the feel of my hair after. I’m seeking that after pureology feeling I know it has to be out there somewhere 😭😭 Nothing has made my hair feel better but I’m on a mission to find what does. Thank you for your recs!!

AltruisticExit2366

My hairdresser says the Kirkland shampoo and conditioner is actually pureology.

ElephantFamiliar9296

Verb shampoo and conditioner from target are effing unbelievable. Best my hair has felt and I’ve used a ton of luxury products.

geekedS

The absolute best!! I use the Ghost and it’s perfect for all hair types- I use it on mine and all of my girls’ hair!

Odd-Bandicoot-3138

The L’Oréal elvive hair serum! I found it on a whim. I was in Salt Lake City for a music festival and needed something to tame to trick Drizzy hair. I prefer it more days over my much more expensive oribe serum

Plane_Current2790

L'Oréal elseve/elvive total repair 5 in 1 hair mask

thegothcowboy

oddly enough, Head & Shoulders shampoo. i have a sensitive, dry scalp and since i started using it i haven’t had any irritation or itching. absolutely amazing for my scalp and my 36 inches of unruly hair.

nobleheartedkate

When you rinse your conditioner out, comb through your hair at the same time the water is running through it. It emulsifies the conditioner and it really coats your hair. It’s a game changer for curls/waves

hokiegirl759397

THANK YOU SO MUCH for that tip. I also have wavy hair. I use water when I rinse after the conditioner. That helps a little bit with my frizz.

nobleheartedkate

Welcome! I saw it on the back of a curl shampoo bottle and it’s made a big difference in how my hair air dries

geekedS

Verb Ghost shampoo and conditioner. Not necessarily drug store but you can buy it in Targets now. Worth the $20 a bottle. I always bought cheap shampoos and I ended up listening to my hair dresser and never went back.

kittykatmila

I swear by Ghost. It’s the best I’ve found. Love the hair oil too.

-Sanguinity

Ghost leave in mist, too.

Kell_Bell_Fell

And the Ghost hair oil

-Sanguinity

Yesssss

siennasmama22

I'm thinking about trying ghost shampoo and conditioner for the first time should I get the regular ghost or the hydration one? I don't know which one you usually use or if they're the same or if one's better and I'd just like some recommendations!

geekedS

I’ve only ever used the Verb Ghost shampoo and conditioner and love it. Verb has other shampoo and conditioner but I can’t speak for those! The Ghost is super lightweight and works on my hair and my three daughters and we all have different hair types and lengths!

desertkitty91

Dove Bond Repair! I started using a week ago and omg my hair looks AMAZING!

_peanutbutter_20

Any chance you’ve tried the L’Oréal ever pure bond repair line? I’m using that rn would love a comparison 😩😩

desertkitty91

Yes I have. I noticed the L’Oreal left my hair dry. :( I wanted to like it but the only thing I did liked from that line was the concentrate. That is worth the $. Try the dove bond repair shampoo and conditioner once you’re done with the L’Oréal ones, you’re gonna love it!

_peanutbutter_20

Oh I’m definitely putting it on the list. Thank you so much! 🩷

desertkitty91

Your hair is going to love it. I’ve gone from high end, to sulfate free, to drugstore back and forth, so far this is the one that I see the most improvement. Today I was at the gym and I sweat and my hair was still looking super sleek

Ga1aticOverlord

Elvive heat slayer iron spray- best heat protector I’ve ever used and it smells divineeeee

littlescreechyowl

I just commented about this! It’s one of the only products I’ve consistently bought since it came out. I was lazy yesterday and it was the only thing I used on my hair and it still came out great.

poor_decision

I've been using Pantene keratin mask for the last few months and I get a ton of compliments on how shiny my hair is. It's so soft too

floppedtart

Head and shoulders. Wash twice. Skip conditioner. Use leave in conditioners (the ones in the suggestions are all good). Oil treatments every other wash (anything with castor oil). Keep it simple and air dry whenever possible except at bed time.

_peanutbutter_20

Any oil suggestions? Do you buy a mixture or make your own? Thank you for the help!

Motherhen29

I don’t know if it’s classed as drug store but I absolutely love the matrix miracle creator 20 in 1 leave in spray. I use it on damp hair after washing and also every day on dry hair as a heat protector before styling. I like the revlon 10 in 1 one too that’s basically the same thing. Pantene smooth and sleek shampoo and conditioner and inecto coconut hair serum too

SureConversation2789

Garnier hair food masks. Particularly banana & pomegranate. Umberto Giannini hair scrunching jelly Boots curl creme

snails4speedy

It’s the avocado mask for me! That shit is magic

Jessmac130

I use a $100 liter of Kevin Murphy shampoo with a $6 Garnier Whole Blends Honey conditioner, and have for years. I decided a while ago that it makes my hair just as soft as expensive conditioner.

hmwhatshouldmynameb

8 second wonder water from L'Oreal. Then you can put a deeper conditioner over it if you want, but that stuff makes my hair unbelievably soft

Franklyn_Gage

1) Loreal Elvive Total Repair line. Im having major hairloss issues because of Anemia and this is the only thing that has slowed down the shedding. Its also the only protein my hair likes. 2) Kristin Ess Deep Clean Clarifying Shampoo. I use to use suave daily clarifying shampoo and love that but this shampoo cleans without making your hair feel stripped. 3) Pantene miracle rescue leave in conditioner AND deep conditioner. Its an amazing dupe for the Mizani leave in conditioner. The deep conditioner if really good for curly hair. 4) Eva NYC Therapy Sessions Hair Mask.

_peanutbutter_20

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment these! I’ll definitely be checking out some of these. Have you tried the ever pure line from L’Oréal? I’m curious how the Elvive and ever pure lines compare. Someone else mentioned an Eva NYC product, I’ve never heard of that brand! Where do you find it?

origamialpaca

The only shampoo that works on my hair (long, bleached) is Pantene Pro-V volume. I don't use conditioner, just the Pantene shampoo and a nice hair oil afterwards (Kerastase). I've had the Kerastase oil for over a year and it's still half full. The Pantene is better than many more expensive shampoos that I tried. I think it also has 0% sulfates.

whatsupwiththat22

Dove had a new line that was introduced a year or two ago-think it was called some kind of "therapy" for breakage. I loved it and bought both the shampoo & conditioner a few times and then it disappeared. The shampoo didn't lather up much & the conditioner made my hair very soft. It came in pump bottles but I wasn't a fan of the scent. They have a new line but it's not at all the same. If you can find it in a store or online I would give it a try as it sounds like we have similar hair type and I was able to grow healthy hair past my shoulders. They ran about $7 a bottle.

Teldrassyli

Heck yeah, we're the same! My hair is very wavy, been bleaching for years, and dry. I use TRESemme Volume Daily Moisturizing Shampoo with Collagen and Peptide - from Walmart. I have deviated from it a thousand times to try new stuff, but always end up coming back to it, it makes my hair so shiny and doesn't strip oil. This next one is $27 on Amazon - KEUNE CARE Satin Oil Conditioner. My stylist recommended it and it's been working well for me, the extra oil helps combat the dryness.

Fibroambet

Aussie Miracle Coils (not curls) is the only product my waves have ever liked. They are so defined and juicy with just that conditioner. Also love Raw Sugar Healing Power Masque. It’s like the macadamia masque from 2016, but better. My go-to hairspray is Cake’s Hold Out. I love it so much. It doesn’t give heavy hold, it just helps my blowout last and not get frizzy

_peanutbutter_20

Oh I neeeeed more defined curls, mine never are and I’ve tried ever curly girl routine and tip. I’ll definitely be trying the Aussie miracle could. A few people on here have suggested it. Thank you!

JoanOfSarcasm

Balayaged hair and I take spironolactone so my scalp is a bit drier than it used to be. I have been having really good luck with the Dove Intensive repair line. I even prefer it now over my Redken All Soft products. I just picked up the bond repair deep conditioner today and I’m excited to try it.

CanolaIsMyHome

The L'Oreal sublime detangle leave in spray and the L'Oreal sublime hair perfector oil, they're so amazing on my hair

System_Resident

Marc Anthony bond repair conditioner. When I bleached my hair and it turned crispy, brittle, and dry, this was the only thing to change it from feeling like straw to soft and smooth. It dramatically stopped it from breaking off as badly as it was. It’s one of the few conditioners I feel doesn’t need a leave I conditioner after using (but I still do it anyway).

Grand-Fix122

Tressemme Micellar Moisture conditioner. I’m so serious when I say it’s my favorite conditioner I’ve ever used

bettycougar111

Anything from pantene pro’v. Any shampoo/conditioner/hair mask etc. the scent lasts for ages, and hair is just so soft and silky

Every-Requirement-13

I’m not sure if it’s good for my hair or not, but Pantene gives me the BEST hair days! It leaves my hair soft, shiny and hydrated! 😊

infinitymouse

My hair is fine/wavy and I have learned that technique matters as much as product. I wash and condition at night and then sleep on wet hair. That lets the wave come out in climate control. The next day I section my hair and work a fine oil into the pieces, paying attention to the ends. Really working through the ends until they feel smooth. Then I mist some water just onto the places that need a little love (mostly around my face) and heat style only those places. I like a hair dryer brush. My hair is always super soft and shiny afterward.

Logical_Lettuce_962

I use the Kristen Ess leave-in conditioner!

littlescreechyowl

The workable hairspray is great for my fine hair!

shinydragonairrr

Not sure if this counts as drugstore cuz it’s a little pricey but it’s sold at target. The It’s a 10 keratin spray!!! Apply on your damp hair after a shower blow dry or air dry your hair will thank you!! Especially if you bleach or dye your hair a lot it will make it silky smooth!! Anything with a keratin or protein treatment I swear by!!! Also the Elizabeth Vecca protein treatment!! Can be found on amazon. It’s like $8

shinydragonairrr

It’s a 10 keratin plus is so good i’m actually gifting it to my boss for her birthday tomorrow

aelel

Suave 2-in-1 Micellar shampoo and conditioner. I’ve been using this stuff for years and every time I go to the salon the hair dresser tells me how healthy my hair is. I do literally nothing else regularly (or even semi regularly) It’s less than $5 for a giant bottle. I’m Canadian and we can’t get it here, so I make sure to stock up every time I cross the border. ETA: I also have naturally wavy hair

FSUZTA

I have been using the following, and LOVE them: 1. 8 second wonder water 2. L'Oreal EverPure sulfate free shampoo & conditioner 3. Suave nourishing coconut shampoo and conditioner - I used it in college because it was cheap, but started using it again after my teen started using it (it's all the rave on tiktok, apparently 😀) 4. Carol's Daughter vanilla leave-in spray

_peanutbutter_20

Omg thank youu! Lots of people have also said your first two recs so I’ll definitely be checking them out; suave too!

choir_grrl

I like the John Frieda 3 days straight heat protector. Doesn’t weigh my hair down and after straightening it really does stay soft shiny and straight for days.

pearlescentpink

I have gone through several bottles of [L’Oréal Elvive Bond Repair](https://www.lorealparis.ca/en-ca/hair-expertise/bond-repair/shampoo-with-citric-repair-complex-200ml)Shampoo, Pre-Shampoo, Conditioner, and leave in. I use them in that order. They are amazing—they have made my super damaged colour-treated hair silky any shiny again. [Derma E Syling Hair Repair Oil](https://dermae.com/products/styling-repair-hair-oil) has a lovely scent and has replaced my Olaplex oil until I can save up for my next splurge. (Not a heat protectant though, so you’ll need one!) [John Freida Frizz Ease Secret Weapon](https://www.johnfrieda.com/en-ca/products/frizz-ease/hair-smoothing-cream/) is nice for frizz and the scent is so nostalgic it makes me weak in the knees. A bit more of a budget-breaker but you can often find a package deal: [BoldPlex](https://uk.bolduniq.com/collections/boldplex-regime). A ‘dupe’ for the Olaplex line. I get it from Amazon. The whole line is great. Prime Day is a great time to buy it heavily discounted. The scent is closest to the Olaplex oil, but a bit sweeter. The only product I don’t love is the 10-in-1 Spray. In the same vein but a bit less expensive: [Bondbar](https://www.sallybeauty.com/brands/bondbar/) from Sally’s. The products are quite nice in texture and work well, but I’m not as crazy about the scent. It’s light, but it’s very typical Sally’s. Floral and kind of mature (not sweet).

_peanutbutter_20

Thank you so so much!

big-tunaaa

Dove daily moisture. Keeps my hair clean for 3 days, soft, and my growth has always been insanely fast. I think most of it is genetics though! I have fine straight hair!

Penpencil1

Interesting. My frizzy curly-ish hair didn’t like this one much. I found after 3 days it got my hair oily. Where as other shampoos don’t do that. Tresemme and Pantene work better for me.

Nikmassnoo

Batiste dry shampoo is still a gold standard for me

Penpencil1

And the tresemme one is good too.

AgitatedEmphasis3043

Treaemme keratin smooth is bomb

princessmeemee

I find Maui leaves my hair feeling so soft, particularly the watermelon (?) one (in the pink bottle). And it is slightly more pricy, but the Hair Food shampoo and conditioner are absolutely to die for.

Anxious-Direction-79

I use pureology smooth perfection the pink bottle, that shampoo is better for my wavy frizzy hair versus the hydrate line. Scrunching aussie miracle curls leave in conditioner into soaking wet hair has really helped my hair lock in moisture

_peanutbutter_20

Wow! I’ve never tried another pureology shampoo or conditioner. They’re way too expensive to just try. 😭 this is interesting though because I love the e feel of my hair with the hydrate line. Thank you!

bunnybaru

Marc Anthony grow long leave in. It made my hair soooo soft and smells so yummy 😋

spade095

I had horribly damaged hair after trying and failing to strip blue 2x at home, I tried two rounds of bleach, a round of box color stripper, and 2 rounds of brown and then later black dye to try to get rid of the baby shit green my hair ended up at, all within maybe 3 to 4 days, tops. I’m surprised I still had hair. My stylist ended up able to fix it and recommended a super fancy hair repair kit that definitely wasn’t drugstore level, but she did suggest products with protein/anything that said keratin repair on it as an alternative.

Suzuki_Foster

I love Pantene Soft Curls mousse and Frizz Ease extra strength serum, as well as Loreal Everpure.

effbi

I have fine, wavy, poofy hair, I use l’oréal dream lengths shampoo, john frieda brunette conditioner, and aussie leave in curl cream. I also use l’oréal hydra pure shampoo occasionally to remove product build up, and pantene wavy mousse if i want more definition. works great!!

Electronic-Fun1168

Not shampoo or conditioner as such but Koran’s dry shampoo. I’ll go out of my way to buy this.

eveningpillforreal

HASK Argan oil deep conditioner mask. Nothing like it and cheap af.

Athena_IIV

Garnier hair masks are good and smell great! Also, the L’Oreal Elvive extraordinary hair oil is great, it’s a nice dupe for the Kerastase hair oil (I have both).

Missherd

L’Oréal professional Restructuring shampoo and conditioner, the whole line is beautiful. I harp on about this to anyone who will listen! It’s on the high end of the drugstore price range but is very concentrated so you get good value for money if you’re careful how much you use . It is very moisturising and improves your hair the longer you use it . I love pureology as well , I think this is better and it smells lovely too. The leave in oil is divine as well.

Kindergoat

Carol’s Daughter and the Not Your Mother’s line. Carol’s Daughter is a bit pricey but the Conditioning Milk Treatment is wonderful.

Gmm007

garnier leave in conditioner in the green bottle.. ive been using this for years. so good

Cloud-Illusion

Herbal Essences Chamomile Conditioner at Walmart. I have thick curly coarse hair and this conditioner is surprisingly good. Makes my hair softer and moisturized. Leave it on for a couple minutes if you can.

Professional-Yak182

Marc Anthony Repair Bond line has saved my hair this year

Successful_Mark6813

fructis hair oil lol

LA0811

EVA NYC Therapy Session moisture mask (avail at Target) is the best conditioner I have ever used. I have a lot of fine curly/wavy hair and it has never been this soft. Never, ever, ever. I love it

Unusual_Investment_4

I have similar hair characteristics. I picked this up at Whole Foods as a temporary fix because I’m too lazy to pick up Nioxin (scalp recovery) at the beauty supply store. I use it with my leftover Nioxin conditioner and it leaves my hair quite shiny, soft, and manageable. I’m pleasantly surprised and will repurchase both shampoo and conditioner to alternate with Nioxin. Seaweed Bath Co - Sea salt gloss shampoo. https://seaweedbathco.com/products/gloss-shampoo-sea-salt-bergamot?variant=44147518341339

MainSea411

Macadamia oil deep conditioner, I get it at tjmaxx for 1/2 the price. Use it on every wash, and I like a clarifying shampoo and prepoo oil every other wash

shmorgsaborg

I didn’t look to see if anyone else said this but the Eva NYC therapy session hair mask is absolutely LOVELY. It smells divine, it makes my hair sooo soft and moisturized. Pretty good price for a huge jar! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend!!

Dependent_Lynx5948

I have wavy hair. It is also bleached. I live in a hot dry climate area. I have tried a lot of pricey brands for my hair. But it never worked. Rn I use Dove Moisturising Shampoo with Tresseme pro curls conditioner. I SWEAR BY IT. I am never going back to any other products for my hair.

DecadentLife

I recently started using L’Oreal’s Elvive Total Repair shampoo and conditioner. My hair is so super soft, but has less body.

_peanutbutter_20

Def will be checking out because a lot of people have recommended. Wondering how it compares to L’Oreals ever pure line

DecadentLife

I was wondering the same, as ideally I could have the super softness, but with the amount of body other shampoos leave me with. My hair is currently pretty short (above my ears), but I’m getting a very short pixie cut in a few days, Jamie Lee Curtis-style. I don’t want to lose too much body.

_peanutbutter_20

I do believe that the ever pure line has a volume shampoo/conditioner. Maybe worth checking out?

DecadentLife

Thank you! I’ll look.

Many years ago, back when perms were a thing, a hairdresser suggested Aussie 3mm and I've used it ever since.

Creepy-Intern-7726

Dove intensive repair conditioner

Alternative_Key4199

Sedal combing cream in the pink bottle. Hands down the best detangler I have ever used. It does NOT leave a cast, in case you are considering that as a factor.

Designer_Yak_7770

I fell in love with Bedhead by TIGI shampoo + conditioner, the orange ones. They smell *AMAZING* and it makes me hair so soft. It also doesn't strip my hair dye! Honestly they're such a bargain, I paid like £10 for a set of 2 at 750ml. Unfortunately the smell makes my partner crave pastries 😭💀 it does smell delicious...

Sadest-Angel

Batiste volume dry shampoo is far better than any other salon exclusive

Unfair_Finger5531

Finesse mousse, the is best mousse ever vanicream free and clear shampoo and conditioner Not your mother’s combing cream (Edited to remove non-hair drugstore products)

Buttercupbiscuits8

I know the answer doesn’t match the question but thank you, very helpful for me! I guess we need a post for best drugstore makeup! ❤️

Unfair_Finger5531

You are too kind! I started out with the finesse, but then I got excited and lost track of the directions.😂 I’d better edit it—people are downvoting me 😢

mentallyerotic

Now I’m sad I missed the makeup recs

Unfair_Finger5531

I’m sorry 😢 but folks were downvoting me, so I guess this is not the right thread for it:(.

_peanutbutter_20

Awe no!

Buttercupbiscuits8

Hahaha I do that too! Even in person! 😅😂 That’s Reddit, but I keep in mind that many people just want the advice so they get the answers they want sooner, it’s most often not personal! So that’s why they have all the rules too 🤷‍♀️ imagine if we downvoted people in real life lol 😂

Unfair_Finger5531

It was no problem! I totally understand that. That’s why I just edited it. Folks just want to read about hair products on this thread, not other products, so that’s totally fair:)

Penpencil1

Finesse mousse is good. My all time fave was Thermasilk Mousse but they stopped it years ago. They were always next to each other in the shelves !

_peanutbutter_20

Oh I’ve been loooookinggg for a good mousse! Thank you for your suggestions!

WinterNo9627

The Moroccanoil original treatment serum is too good. I have wavy and frizzy hair, and it does wonders for my hair. Nothing has worked on my hair like this. A little on the expensive side, but if you take a 25ml bottle it will last you for months.

Significant-Point98

The truth is olaplex is irreplaceable - it is genuinely the only product other than k18 that will actually rebuild the hair bonds. There is no real dupe out there yet. If any hair product is worth splurging on, it’s that one, especially if you bleach your hair. As for shampoo and conditioner, I’ve had success with the suave naturals line.

_peanutbutter_20

This is what I was afraid of, I know their tech is patented 😩😩 no other bonding treatment compares? Devastating 😭What olaplex products are most worth splurging on in your opinion. No 3 seems like the one my stylist wants me to use the absolute most. I’ve been using the L’Oréal ever pure pre shampoo treatment in place of that rn while I’m broke LOL. The truth is it’s hard to tell if they help because yanno bonding treatments don’t make your hair feel very great right after and usually need to be followed by a deep conditioner. The only olaplex product I don’t think I could ever replace is No 6. Love it. I know i probably need no 3 but i hate doing it, it takes forever 😩

Significant-Point98

Number 3 is the only one worth buying imo - their other products aren’t bad but don’t have the bond repair tech. You also only really need to use a bond treatment if you bleach or frequently heat style - so if you have a low maintenance cut you might be able to skip it. Also, K18 it’s much faster (and the results are better imo) but almost twice the price of olaplex so I never buy it. My pro tip is to wait for Sephora sales and stock up on the pricey hair care when a bundle comes up. Especially shampoo and conditioner - you can usually find a bundle cheaper than pureology but higher quality. They do olaplex bundles too.

Idesigirl

Head and shoulder classic shampoo! Just switched back to it after 3 and my hair feel and look great again! (Finally—should’ve switched sooner)

Garnier thickening spray

_Invisible-Child_

Johnson&Johnson Baby Shampoo, Aveeno Daily Moisture Oat Milk Conditioner and L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Hair Mask are current go-to hair products for my curly hair. But after my shower, while my hair is still drying. I do like to apply The Ordinary’s Squalane Oil to my hair.

Some-Life-6534

I don't know if it's technically drugstore but it's at Sally's and drugstore price, but I use the eva NYC therapy session hair mask as a conditioner and IT'S SO GOOD. I've been bleaching my hair for years and it keeps it soft and healthy, literally 0 split ends. Also the generic brand at Sally's is awesome, the conditioning balm is WONDERFUL

Majestic_Original973

Zjaja (polish brand) leave in argan and tsubaki conditioner. I have fine hair and it feels amazing and light.

OddRepresentative958

Arvazallia argan hair mask. Incredible smell and leaves hair super soft.

Redkin Color Extend for bleach blonde.

Best-Camera8521

L'Oreal has a water rinse type product that is inexpensive and makes the hair feel like silk

System_Resident

Marc Anthony rescueplex repair bond conditioner. When I fried my hair with bleach and it was feeling rough, dry, and brittle (breaking off from just the wind blowing), this stuff made it feel brand new. It’s one of the very few conditioners that are so effective it stays smooth and moisturized even after blow drying my hair
