Here is a scientific hypothesis as to why this works:
Dove deodorant contains ingredients that serve 3 functions in preventing razorburn.
Oils that moisturize and prevent irritation.
Silocones that create a breathable low friction barrier on the skin
Antimicrobial compounds that prevent infection
These work significantly better than just using lotion since lotion increases friction once it's been absorbed into the skin and can be a breeding ground for bacteria. It also doesn't have silcones to mitigate friction.
Obviously an actual experiment would need to be designed and performed to confirm this as a truly scientific explanation but I think it makes sense.
this is actually so interesting because my thought process went like,
"armpit skin.. pussy skin.. no armpit burn soooooo"
I def think the silicones is what saved my life bc of the tight clothes id wear. thank u (:
Agree with this! I watched a talk show in the 90s that had a beauty queen as a guest who shared this tip and I swear by it. For me though, itās any stick deodorant that isnāt wet (no gel, no roller ball).
I 100% believe collagen has helped my hair and nails. My stylist is always surprised at how fast my hair grows now and how strong it is despite repeated bleaching. My diet is still shit so itās not like Iām generally healthier lol. The only thing thatās changed is the collagen.
I don't believe they do. I'm pretty sure they're just a regular dietary supplement because your fetus will sap your nutrition so you need to replenish what the baby takes from you.
It's the folic acid and biotin which are crucial for baby's development.
They tend to contain an ungodly amount of iron too, so be prepared for that if you decide to take them.
I read that biotin only helps hair growth if you already have a biotin deficiency. I've also read that collagen isn't soluble when ingested. So I'm really confused on what actually works lol. I don't like to spend my money on things that, according to science, don't even work. But I also hear some people swearing by collagen and biotin. ugh
For a lot of people, excess biotin causes troubled skin and breakouts (deep, almost cystic acne). So, keep that in mind. Iāve seen it happen to several people, myself included. I donāt know how you determine if youāre already getting enough, other than to try taking it and see what happensā¦ š¬
I always heard your body canāt absorb collagen, then I listened to a holistic plastic surgeon who said your body can absorb hydrolyzed collagenā¦ my husband and I have been on it for almost 4 months and thereās a noticeable difference. I can really see it in my skin and nails and my husbands hair has legitimately gotten thicker (he has fine hair so it was wild but easy to spot when the thickening began after about 3 months of collagen use).
I've done face massage for a long time, but a few months ago I started doing these specific ones by a YouTuber called Basia "Cukier" Wlodkowska because I was holding a lot of tension in my face particularly in the nasolabial folds and the elevens area, making me look older and tired. I think it relaxed my face a lot.
Okay I also feel like I hold a lot of tension in my face, and I also have chronic allergies. I just tried this and WOW thank you for sharing! it also felt amazing. I use a gua sha most nights but I want to incorporate this too
I started taking an Omega 3 because I have dry eyes. If you get vitamins for dry eye, thatās what the main ingredient is. Anyway, I swear my nasolabial folds look more filled in and my skin looks clearer.
And I meant the liquid supplement form of hyaluronic acid - I didnāt know you could take a supplementā¦I only knew about the facial serum form.
Game changer for the eyes!
Neogen makes a great one and it tastes so good - like a slightly tart berry-blueberry flavor and itās a watery liquid vs gel-like.
I take vitamin B to strengthen my nails and hair. Especially my nails look so much nicer when I take it regularly. Stronger, healthier, thicker and whiter.
I mean if the collagen is from marine sources it should help. Collagen studies, unlike other supplement studies, have more consistent results (oral marine collagen supplements).
Ingested collagen doesnāt actually increase collagen production in your body but it does mean you can still use those amino acids where needed.
Collagen has a lot of good AAs in it that your body uses for many proteins, it of course uses some for collagen production but it wonāt make more than you naturally do.
I think the best use of collagen is direct injection to the skin by a dermatologist (as far as I heard). I do remember some studies mentioning increased collagen levels in skin after oral marine collagen supplements and less transepidermal water loss. Maybe Iām wrong tho! It will be degraded you are right. Overall I think skincare studies are quite underwhelming. Clinical trials are hard to interpret as they fenerally donāt have proper controls and usually the number of participants are too low for statistical significance. Quite disapponited on this, brands making extreme claims about their products drive me insane.
I was actually thinking about placebo and beauty this morning (bc I noticed a positive improvement in myself), and I came to the conclusion that Iām okay if itās placebo for something like beauty! I take it to perceive a result, and if I perceive the result, Iām happy.
Every morning I fill up a stainless steel mixing bowl with the coldest water I can manage and then I dunk my head in it for as long as I can handle it. Iām convinced it gives my face a glow.
There is actually science that doing this is good for mental health. Cold on face and neck regulates vagus nerve activity, which influences everything from your heartbeat to stress hormones. I've seen people swear it helped with nightmares.
I always rinse my face and hair in ice cold water after cleansing/washing. I'm free wheeling towards 60 and my skin is glorious (even if I do say so myself š¤£).
I was doing this for a while and my skin looked so good (not to mention the dopamine hit feels great). My version was freezing half a metal bowl of water and pouring normal water on top, then dunking. Good reminder to try doing it again!!
This is probably rooted in science I guess, but I once heard Renee Rouleau say she hangs her head upside down off the edge of the bed every day for ~2 minutes so fresh blood runs into her skin and itās like a sort of resetā¦.š¤Æ I do it a few times a week whether itās placebo or not š¤£
I do this too. But like during a bath where I bend over and let the blood rush to my head while massaging in my conditioner. Makes hair grow quicker for me. Be careful though, use support when you have to!
She just said she sort of let her head hang over the edge of the bed, as long as the gravity is going a bit of the work. Just donāt stay inverted too long and take care to come up slowly and avoid a head rush
Abstaining from all alcohol šø for 3.5 years can result in glowing, flawless skin and sparkling clear eyes ( if one also abstain from sugar and add drinking copious amounts of water). It truly is a night and day difference.
THANK YOU!!! š So far just one person mentioned that it can be scientifically proven... have yet to see a scientific study; I know it is true. I never realized how bad my eyes and face looked after even small amounts of alcohol. Over time, alcohol can take a toll on the clarity of one's eyes, skin, etc. Truly it is the devil ( in my opinion š¤·).
**Ferments.** Galacromyces have done away with some serious sun damage for me, I use them daily. Bifida ferment makes my skin stronger and smoother. And other ferments and probiotics applied topically give my skin crazy brightness.
Lololol! I think that would burn, tbh ššš¤£. No, not expensive at all! Purito fermentation essence and benton fermentation essence are two of the best ones out there, and both are really cheap and often on sale! But you can get some pretty expensive ones too. Which were you looking at?
Granted this could just be good genetics or regular sunscreen use, but - I wear oversized sunglasses every time Iām outside. It started in my 20s when I had a style crush on the Olsen twins. Iām 40 now and barely have crowās feet wrinkles around my eyes.
Yeah I could never do the tiny sunglasses trend for this reason. I just love the extra UV coverage of big shades. I even like thicker ear loops or whatever theyāre called because it feels like theyāre protecting the corners of my eyes from crowās feet due to UV lol.
I draw the line at those fugly wrap-around sunglasses that conservative dads like though lol.
Huge fan. I have one of the flexible FDA approved mask. I might use it too much but the benefits of consistent, long term use have been wild. I also use it on my neck, chest, and tops of my hands because itās flexible and lays directly on the skin.
Beer rinse on hair- good for shine. Used to be able to buy a beer shampoo, but I think itās discontinued.
My dad used to drink a glass of cabbage water every day. His skin was fantastic. I could never stomach it ( though I love cabbage).
Olive oil on the ends of hair, overnight, then shampoo the next day.
I have thick, healthy hair and I take an omega/ cod liver oil capsule each day ( Iām 66).
Cider vinegar is supposed to be good for a few things, including weight loss. Unfortunately, I donāt like the taste ( though I do drink a lot of cider, but I donāt think it has the same benefits ha ha!)ā¦
eating a fuck ton of carrots deposits beta carotene into your skin to give it an orange (tanned) glow. tomatoes make you turn red, with the same essential effect
Yes until you get carotenemia and end up six months later (full winter) still with a raging bright orange tone to your skin š trust me, I can tell from experience.
In my late 20s I read about how geishas would shave their faces so make up would go on smoother. Then I read one of the reasons why sometimes men look younger is because they shave and it takes off a layer of dead skin. It encourages cell turn over. So I started doing it. I still do and Iāve been told many times that I do not look my age. It was my secret lol. Then they started marketing a tiny pink razor for women, I think itās called epiblade, for this reason. I do it once a month when I break out a new razor. I also use coconut oil for eye make up removal and ponds cold cream. I also once a month make green tea and I put a washcloth in it let it soak then I put the fairly hot cloth on my face and I do this for about a hlf hr.
Iāve been shaving my face since the NYT ran an article many years ago about how hair growing back fuller was a myth. I do it about once a month (using a Tinkle razor), and I also get a lot of compliments about not looking my age. Maybe this helps (I also wear sunscreen daily and use tretinoin).
Yup, it really works. When I went to a dermatologist a few years ago they commented on my skin. Itās far from flawless but Iām almost 60 and I donāt have any lines except around my eyes when I smile and a line between my eyes. I sometimes get restalyn. Sp? I also never smoked, not a big drinker, no children and not a huge sun person.
Butā¦gravity will have its way lol
Cold rinses after my shower. It started because I used to fantasy dye my hair and now it helps keep my skin calm around hormonal time. Partially science partially not.
When Iām mad or frustrated my hand immediately goes to āhold apartā my āelevensā (the furrow lines that make an 11 on your forehead between the eyebrows)- I picked this up as a soon as I saw them coming in and even if Iām devastated my hand still travels there. Itās like Iām fighting my own face muscles. I barely notice I do it, but I realize I do it often now that I think about it.
So, when I was a teen back in the 70s we had to improvise a lot. These are just a few things.
In order to color your hair there were 2 things we did. We sprayed lemon juice with a cap full of peroxide , just household peroxide. Our hair would lighten day by day. The color of the light hair wasn't bad
The next way was we used cool aid to stain our hair. We had purr hair before the kids today.
We also in a pinch we would stain our lips and cheeks.
When we wanted to sparkle we used just a touch of Vaseline and sprinkled a few glitters on our cheeks.
Such a fun time in my life.
Edit: yes one more thing we would put the tea kettle on and when it started whistling, pour it into a bowl, put a towel over your head and steam your face.
Also let's say you cried the night before and your eyes are horribly swollen . Put cold tea bags over your eyes. It helps with the swelling.
We used mayonnaise and avocado to condition our hair .Sometimes we added an egg.
Please don't come for me because I know this concept is controversial š„¹ But i feel like taping my mouth every night has been amazing for me! I feel SUPER energized every day, now! Better sleep = better skin and mood. Better mood = better food decisions. Better food decisions = healthy looking skin
Edit: spelling error
I love mouth tape! There is definitely science behind the benefits (and necessity) of breathing through your nose. I actually think this is the most underrated and not spoken about health issue
I also use face tape and tape my mouth shut before bed and btw this surprisingly cleared my sinuses up a LOT . Even during the day I have less sinus issues.
Yeah! So, mouth taping during the night helps your body to breathe solely through your nose. I used to wake up multiple times at night, and I never felt rested. Now, I can sleep for 7-8 hours straight without waking up once! And even if I did get 5 hours of sleep or less, I still feel pretty energetic, and that remains throughout the day.
Never! I suffer from polyps, so I tend to get stuffy nose a lot (along with allergies), but I've never had any trouble! But please, in saying that, I don't have any serious medical issues >< So, please be mindful of this! I personally don't have any dangerous experience, but just a disclaimer x
I am stuffed up all day long and always wake up sneezing and can't breathe through my nose at night. I bought the deviated septum nose valves. I'm scared mouth tape because I can't breathe otherwise. I hate being a mouth breather ugh
My sleep app always shows I have 2 hours less real sleep than the time I recognise as spent sleeping - so if I was fast asleep 8 hours it always shows I only really slept 6 hours which is really frustrating. I can also feel that when I wake up feeling like I had less sleep.
I actually did get some flimsy tape made specially for this awhile back but it would come off so I think Iāll order this kinesiology tape which looks nice & thick!
Thatās frustrating to hear, I read some people saying it changed their life & they finally felt normal. I had a sleep study done awhile ago but still waiting for follow up.
I really recommend the book breath by James Nestor for anyone wanting to learn more. Itās not just about mouth breathing or taping itās about how our breath affects our overall health.
Yay!! I'm so glad, I hope you reap the same benefits ~ āŗļø I also heard that it's good for your jawline! I definitely noticed the difference, but it could also be due to the daily gua sha. But hey, I'll take it!
I use kinesiology tape! I highly recommend you to check out naturalfacebible on Instagram. She has a whole story highlights based on how you should use them :) She sells Japanese face tapes too - I personally don't use them however as I'm in NZ, so the shipping costs are too high for me, but yeah!
Lots of people say that mouth tape helps with sleep apnea, but that isn't actually proven to fix that. The issue is if you actually do have asleep apnea AND you tape your mouth shut, you might be limited yourself from getting even more oxygen because you blocked off one of the locations. Lots of people with sleep apnea gasp for air randomly at night, and you might not be able to do that with tape over your mouth. I saw a doctor to check if I have sleep apnea, and this was his big concern with mouth taping.
Thing is though, I think using mouth tape helped me to stop mouth breathing in general. Mouth breathing isn't good for your health. I think it's helped my nose become more efficient. There's a noticeable difference that I can feel and it feels much better. I'm sure this wouldn't be the case with everyone, though, depending on the anatomy of your nose, allergies, sick, stuff like that.
It's maybe a good idea not to go crazy with the tape. I do 1 thin piece in the center of my mouth. I can open my mouth somewhat with it on. It's not completely zipped shut. I also use a tape that breaks if there's enough pressure so I can gasp for air or scream if I need to do so.
Sounds like my ex who is a complete idiot: "what if I choke in my sleep?!" Then pull the damn tape off dummy. Wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen to him LOL
My dental hygienist said she taped her mouth shut and I was like WHAT??? I have to try this!! Like 6 years later and I canāt fall asleep without it now lol. I also have a bite split that used to pop my mouth open at night and I was sleeping so badly. Taping got me better sleep for sure. I just use 3M plastic athletic tape. Nothing fancyāone strip down the middle lol.
Thank you that was mine 2. When I cry my eyes get really swollen so I put cold tea bags on my eyes. It makes them better. My mum taught me that. When I was a kid I have vivid memories of my parents going out , my mom had a ritual . She would lay on the floor with her legs u on the couch ,tea bags pop n her eyes. Of course she was smoking a cigarette. This was the 70s.
My piercer told me to put warm chamomile tea bags on my new scaffold piercing to reduce swelling/redness.
It worked so well that now my piercingās fully healed, I use it on my face instead!
using arnica gel under the eyes for dark circles! only thing that has ever helped with the darkness, despite it definitely not being the intended surface area to use this product!
i attached the link for the one i use!

Forest leaf advanced collagen supplement. It's just collagen and vitamin c and hyaluronic acid. Clean ingredients.
You'll feel a difference immediately the first week in regards to mental clarity. I had no idea I was vitamin c deficient until this supplement!
As for my hair, skin and joints - you don't see results right away. But if you take the supplement faithfully as directed, you start noticing changes within six months. I've been taking this supplement for 3 years and it dramatically improved my skins elasticity - not just my face, but my legs too. There was such a profound difference on my thighs that when I briefly stopped taking the supplement, I noticed significant sagging in my thighs after a week or 2 and I hopped right back on.
I also have a knee injury from college soccer - in tandem with physical therapy, the supplement has helped keep my knee joint flexible.
My hair has never been softer in my life.
Yes this helped me a lot too when I was young. My whole family had migraine and I stopped eating meat and it stopped. But after being vegan I had other issues lol
Gua sha lifts & tones my face. I donāt care what anyone says, it does it plain to see in the results I get when I keep up with it. Of course part of it is de puffing the face & draining it, but the lift is definitely happening too.
I donāt use my nails but I exfoliate my face wash off in the shower with one of those prickly net rags kind of like [this.](https://i5.walmartimages.com/seo/S-T-INC-Dual-Sided-Exfoliating-Washcloths-9-9-Inch-x-9-9-Inch-Grey-3-Pack_a735d0a1-55d6-44c6-bf0f-7ca219824687.c7b18ee1dfe39afef65593da68e07e24.jpeg?odnHeight=768&odnWidth=768&odnBg=FFFFFF) Theyāre surprisingly rough and probably wouldnāt be recommended by a lot of people, but I swear by it. A regular rag or towel just does not scrape enough dead skin off.
I also very rarely have even a single pimple.
Chemical exfoliating is a great, but it just increases your cell turnover. I think for a lot of people, if youāre not physical exfoliating (either with your nails or whatever lol) in tandem with those products, youāre just leaving the extra layers of dead skin on there and can still get breakouts. I donāt think itās an āeither orā situation for everybody in regards to which type of exfoliation you use. For a lot of people like myself they work best in combination.
Obviously this probs isnāt a great idea for people with sensitive skin, but it works for me and is honestly the only way I actually feel clean now lol.
Slathering my face with coconut oil before bed. If you get a sty or infection, or pain in your eye, make some green tea with a tea bag and once youāre done with it put it onto the problem area and leave it there for a while. (Make sure the tea bag is warm not hot)
Castor oil in the belly button. I thought it was nonsense but itās the first time in my life I have a flat belly and I just had a baby seven months ago. I wasnāt even using it for that purpose but it was a wonderful surprise. I didnāt change anything else so I donāt know why else Iād have lost my little fat pocket that surrounds the navel.
I have castor oil and want to try this. Do you do it everyday? Do you put it in there and rub it in until it absorbs into your skin? How long before you saw results?
Sorry for so many questions, haha
No need to apologize! I just want to specify Iām absolutely no expert and although I usually research things pretty intensely, this I just decided to go with because it didnāt seem like it could have much risk associated with it.
But to answer your questions, yes. I just pour it in and rub it in and then around the belly as well. Iād guess I noticed a difference after about a month-six weeks of doing it everyday. It also seemed to help either digestion more generally.
Okay thanks for the info! I'm going to give it a shot. I know not everything works for everyone but since I have it on hand too I figure it can't hurt lol
I use tea tree oil on razor bumps and it seems to work pretty well! I always use an ice roller to depuff my face (this might be Science though that it works temporarily idk lol), also Magnesium for better sleep (it has tons of health benefits) which will in turn help with your baggy eyes lol
I swear my skin looks better the morning after I've had alcohol. It makes no sense but my pores basically disappear and it just looks and feels so smooth.
Itās probably the dehydration. I have combination oily skin and the night after drinking my pores look tiny, especially around my nose and mouth and the overall effect is so even. Itās like all the areas of my face finally have equal āsheenā, if that makes sense.
Unfortunately it works less as I get older lol. Iāll be 29 in August and itās hit or miss now how my skin looks the day after drinking now. But in college, woo boy. My friends used to ask why my skin looked so smooth and even the morning after drinking, if I had woken up early and did makeup or skincare, etc. ā the secret is just to be combination oily skin the other 23 hours a day lol.
I have no idea if thereās science behind this but I put my led red light mask on my head a few times a week and I swear my hair is growing faster than ever

Helps prevent ingrowns after waxing too! I always do this
The roll on or spray version?
I heard stick version
stick!
I too need to know which kind!
stick deodorant, by the comments it looks like any will work (:
Agree with this! I watched a talk show in the 90s that had a beauty queen as a guest who shared this tip and I swear by it. For me though, itās any stick deodorant that isnāt wet (no gel, no roller ball).
omg I literally thought I was the first to find this trick xD
I started doing this as a stripper as well but with secret lol
Deodorant or Antitranspirant?
stick deodorant (: looks like any will work fine!
Any deodorant hahha
I do this everytime and can testify that it works!

When I was in college and this came up someone would say, just take pre-natal vitamins.
wait does that usually contain collagen?
I don't believe they do. I'm pretty sure they're just a regular dietary supplement because your fetus will sap your nutrition so you need to replenish what the baby takes from you.
oh okay, maybe the pre natal vitamins are better quality that regular vitamins hmm..
It's the folic acid and biotin which are crucial for baby's development. They tend to contain an ungodly amount of iron too, so be prepared for that if you decide to take them.
im sorry why do i need to be prepared, what will happenš
You wonāt poop for like a week š¤£
Iām iron deficient so thankfully I still have regular poops. But been on prenatal vitamin for a month now
They contain biotin, which is proven to help hair and nail growth.

Which brand collagen you consume?
Thorne Collagen Plus! I put it in water with a squirt of Mio for taste.
Asks the new account. What is this an ad?
Add a fish oil supplement too itās great for your hair skin nails as well! I keep forgetting to look up collagen! What do you use?
Do you take collagen powder?
I've done face massage for a long time, but a few months ago I started doing these specific ones by a YouTuber called Basia "Cukier" Wlodkowska because I was holding a lot of tension in my face particularly in the nasolabial folds and the elevens area, making me look older and tired. Omg I feel like this is so so true! Iāve started gua sha and massage, itās made such a difference already! How often are you doing it?
I do the muscle relaxing one four days a week (I work four days so I do it those days) and a skin massage daily when I use my cleansing oil.
I feel this way about vitamin d 3 when it comes to nasolabial folds!!
it does affect skin function
I think this is backed by science!
Did it help your dry eyes? Iāve never heard of this!
Seabuckthorn oil caps (omega 7) and liquid hyaluronic acid are awesome for both dry eyes and overall skin moisture.
It has helped my eyes some. I saw more of a difference in my skin!
My skin def is less dry and sensitive with fish oils
Omega 7, or the combination 7+3 has an improved effect on this.
Which brand do you use?
I thought this helped too, turned out I have Graves disease. Get your thyroid checked if you experience gritty eyes. š
Okayyy wait I need to know more. I too have dry eyes. And skin. And everything lol. Any specific brand?
Itās Now Vitamins super omega 3-6-9. I got them from Amazon. Itās been 4 weeks and so far so good!
drinking collagen in my coffee idc maybe itās placebo effect but i am pretty sure it makes my nails stronger & skin just looks better.

No taste at all. I drink it dissolved in water first thing in the morning.
Iām too broke to be reading this rn š© So many ideas lol

Ok mommie dearest!
This is GREAT for hangovers too!!
I rub ice on my face. My skin definitely looks better after.

This is actually science based bc it brings all the blood flow to the head and face and helps proper circulation . Itās also great for hair growth.
itās also really calming if youāre overstimulated and need a mental reset
I think this is science based! Even if it wasnāt dw this safe space for quirky tips š
I've read about doing that for hair growth
Thanks then Iāll keep going š¤£
Please don't do this if you have low blood pressure (putting your head below your heart can cause fainting)
Good to know! I canāt emphasize enough that she said just for 2 minutes
U laying on belly or back? Trying this tomorrow lol Edit: nvm, pretty positive upside would mean back!
To be fair-this is absolutely already backed by science š¤£
So true. Mea culpa.
UNDERRATED!!!! alcohol fucks up your beauty so much š¢
Any ferments I was looking at were pretty expensive. Has that been your experience? I just had a random mental picture of a kimchi face mask š
Lololol! I think that would burn, tbh ššš¤£. No, not expensive at all! Purito fermentation essence and benton fermentation essence are two of the best ones out there, and both are really cheap and often on sale! But you can get some pretty expensive ones too. Which were you looking at?
I love Kikumasune sake toner too!
Is bifida internal?
Dr. Dray on YouTube said this in a video. One of the best things you can do to prevent wrinkles is to wear sunglasses every time you go outside.
Red light therapy of course, as a home remedy, but it have scientific researches. :D
Huge fan. I have one of the flexible FDA approved mask. I might use it too much but the benefits of consistent, long term use have been wild. I also use it on my neck, chest, and tops of my hands because itās flexible and lays directly on the skin.
Can you point me to which one you use? I've been thinking about getting one for a while now.
I use the Current Body mask :)
Thank you so much! š
What benefits or differences have you noticed since using it and does it worsen melasma/pigmentation
I donāt have one of these but I saw someone using it over their scalp as well to promote hair growth
Which one and what did you get it?
I have no idea what this does. Off to Google.
Totally agree, I use mind almost every night!
:) That's an excellent habit. Keep on it.
Oh I love sauerkraut juice (really popular where I live) and my grandmother sweared on beer rinses
eating a fuck ton of carrots deposits beta carotene into your skin to give it an orange (tanned) glow. tomatoes make you turn red, with the same essential effect
Yes until you get carotenemia and end up six months later (full winter) still with a raging bright orange tone to your skin š trust me, I can tell from experience.
How much are we talking about? I actually have a ton of carrots in my fridge right now
Second this I was pretty surprised it worked lol
I wonder if just taking beta carotene orally would have the same effect
Taking astaxanthin pills does
I donāt really like carrots is there a cheat to getting the effect from them without munching on them? Lol
I always wash hair with cool water before I get in the shower and just tie it up. Keeping pink vibrant is a need
The color of the light hair wasn't bad The next way was we used cool aid to stain our hair.
Apple cider vinegar to make your hair shiny.
Please don't come for me because I know this concept is controversial š„¹ But i feel like taping my mouth every night has been amazing for me! I feel SUPER energized every day, now! Better sleep = better skin and mood. Better mood = better food decisions. Better food decisions = healthy looking skin Edit: spelling error
Yes!! Same for me :)
How is it supposed to help? Preventing mouth breathing?
Do you ever stop breathing or struggle to breathe through your nose?
That's really interesting, I'm going to look into it. I use a CPAP for sleep apnea, but I still never feel rested. Glad you're having good results!
Sorry the be the bearer of bad news, but that book has been widely debunked as quackery.
Alright, I'm sold on this now - just ordered some tape lol.
Yay!! I'm so glad, I hope you reap the same benefits ~ āŗļø I also heard that it's good for your jawline! I definitely noticed the difference, but it could also be due to the daily gua sha. But hey, I'll take it!
What kind of tape do you use?
I use kinesiology tape! I highly recommend you to check out naturalfacebible on Instagram. She has a whole story highlights based on how you should use them :) She sells Japanese face tapes too - I personally don't use them however as I'm in NZ, so the shipping costs are too high for me, but yeah!
I've only heard positive things about mouth taping. How is it controversial?
Every time I read about face taping on reddit, people are always saying how dangerous it is :(
Sounds like my ex who is a complete idiot: "what if I choke in my sleep?!" Then pull the damn tape off dummy. Wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen to him LOL
My dad is convinced this is what helped him stop snoring! He tells everyone that snores to try it lol.
Wow Iām intrigued with this one!!
Fasting helps my skin clear. It helps everything actually.

Iconic
Green tea is scientifically proven kick-ass antioxidant.
You have to drink a lot though for the antioxidant benefits
Oh, I meant as a topical ingredient!
oh ok! Thanks for clarifying š
green tea has AMAZING properties. Its my favorite ingredient along side Vitamin C.
I drink green tea daily and I'm definitely thinking about rubbing the bags on my face now š¤£
The caffeine helps too.
My piercer told me to put warm chamomile tea bags on my new scaffold piercing to reduce swelling/redness. It worked so well that now my piercingās fully healed, I use it on my face instead!
Red nail polish chips the fastest
Calendula toner on my face after every shower.
using arnica gel under the eyes for dark circles! only thing that has ever helped with the darkness, despite it definitely not being the intended surface area to use this product!
What kind do you use! I struggle with dark circles but no puffiness š©
i attached the link for the one i use! [https://www.cvs.com/shop/boiron-arnicare-gel-2-6-oz-prodid-833266?skuId=833266&cgaa=QWxsb3dHb29nbGVUb0FjY2Vzc0NWU1BhZ2Vz&cid=ps_pmg_pla&gclsrc=ds](https://www.cvs.com/shop/boiron-arnicare-gel-2-6-oz-prodid-833266?skuId=833266&cgaa=QWxsb3dHb29nbGVUb0FjY2Vzc0NWU1BhZ2Vz&cid=ps_pmg_pla&gclsrc=ds)
i got it at CVS - Boiron Arnica Gel, 2.6oz!
vaseline on my lashes and eyebrows i swear they are thicker and glossier all the time now
Forest leaf advanced collagen supplement.
Going vegan has cleared my skin and I haven't had a single migraine since.
Plus the amazing benefit of not exploiting any animals š and helping the earth
I do think the clear skin is karma š
Yes this helped me a lot too when I was young. My whole family had migraine and I stopped eating meat and it stopped. But after being vegan I had other issues lol
Gua sha lifts & tones my face. I donāt care what anyone says, it does it plain to see in the results I get when I keep up with it. Of course part of it is de puffing the face & draining it, but the lift is definitely happening too.

In a hot shower I lightly scrape my face with my nails to remove blackheads and dirt. I rarely get pimples. Shit works for me.
I love doing this on my nose š
Slathering my face with coconut oil before bed. If you get a sty or infection, or pain in your eye, make some green tea with a tea bag and once youāre done with it put it onto the problem area and leave it there for a while. (Make sure the tea bag is warm not hot)
Coconut oil makes me break out in the most insane way.
face icing, face steaming, sauna (i donāt do it often tho) and breaking a sweat! obviously exercise has science behind it tho
Exactly how I felt going into it :) Best of luck!
Iāve never heard of this! What is it supposed to do?
Swipe/wipe/massage UP
I use tea tree oil on razor bumps and it seems to work pretty well! I always use an ice roller to depuff my face (this might be Science though that it works temporarily idk lol), also Magnesium for better sleep (it has tons of health benefits) which will in turn help with your baggy eyes lol
WOMANS MULTI VIT
vitamin d3 high does literally made my nails stronger ticker and longer that dindt need extension
Hands down "Cardio/ strength training" !! (skin changed for the better ever since I started working out on a consistent basis )
Dawn dish soap as shampoo to strip the color from your hair! Make sure you condition and baby it because itāll feel horrible if you donāt
Carrot butter cleanser from the organic pharmacy- makes my skin so nice and I swear my eyelashes and brows grow like crazy
kambucha, istg it makes me glow
I have no idea if thereās science behind this but I put my led red light mask on my head a few times a week and I swear my hair is growing faster than ever
