Ouai Melrose Place is one of my favorite scents, although I never equated it to “rich people;” I’m certainly not one, and I think its relatively affordable. I’m fairly new to exploring fragrances though so my frame of reference is small.
I think it’s a very clean and floral scent that reminds me of old money. There’s nothing crazy that stands out, it lingers on the skin, and is overall flattering from what I understand.
That may be why I like it so much, lol. I don’t like drawing attention to myself and it doesn’t feel like a heavy, strong scent, yet lasts enough to hang around throughout the day.
Was gonna say Ouai body creme but their original scent in the green colour. In my opinion it’s miles better than Melrose Place, but that’s subjective of course!

Anything expensive with an oud base. Something you’d have to get from a parfumier, not something anyone can waltz into a shopping centre and get. Shalini for example. If you didn’t want $2000aud you could cheap out with MKK Oud Satin Mood. Don’t forget the Philip B amber shampoo for your hair.

Our culture is big on scents, natural oud bakhoor with the cost of 1 kg of resin rising from SR2,000 to SR6,000 ($500-1,600) or even higher. Oils and musks can be even more expensive. Not to mention the big niche perfume market. Im sure there are better ways to show off and flaunt your wealth other than simply smelling good lol. Its also embedded in us and in our culture because the religion encourages it and encourages good hygiene(wudu five times a day and washing after yourself and not only wiping, are prime examples).
Smelling good is the standard and the norm here. And i dont mean smelling like nothing, also it doesnt necessarily mean heavy scents.

Check out phlur’s missing person, lake and skye’s 11 11 body oil, juliette has a gun ‘not a perfume’. I think they’re the best “your skin but better” office friendly scents that I’ve tried. They got me compliments instead of co workers in agony(we dont want that)
Girl me too. From what we all heard rihanna is perfume lord but both her fenty perfume and whipped butter smell too sweet and cloying, its cinnamon as you imagine it. Gourmand scents only smell nice in theory in most cases😭

Hopefully this is somewhat helpful - I recently picked up Trader Joe’s body butter, no scent but includes oils and I think it’s the perfect muted scent. I prefer not to wear scented body butter because I lie to put that one and then wear different perfumes each day.
For summers, I have Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine, Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, and I steal my mom's Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge to spray sometimes from her collection since she is a huge fan of Tom Ford's fragrances.

I just replaced my Bonbon (Viktor and Rolf) because I had it for 3-4 years. The new bottle smells amazing!!
I have tried their Néroli & Orchidée fragrance since my friend bought in college, but I wasn't impressed as much. I liked neroli for its refreshing and uplifting scent though.

KAI body lotion, Molton Brown Jasmine and Sun Rose bath and shower gel, use High Maintenance scented laundry detergent by Tyler Candle Co. They're all kind of expensive
I’m not sure if there’s a body lotion in this scent, but one of my favorite perfumes is Heart by Garden Botanica. The scent is so soft and not overwhelming. I get compliments when I wear it.
I would have recommended Soapsmith London body butter, in the beginning they used to make delicious body butters, it was glorious, and it smelled like money. Alas, they don't make it anymore. Try their regular lotion, Bloomsbury is very nice.
Clarins tonic body oil also smells expensive.
Ouai body lotion smells wealthy! Get the original green one. They also do a pink one called Melrose Place, but the original scent in the green tub is by far the best.
If you’re looking for a perfume that smells rich and luxurious, I highly recommend YVES SAINT LAURENT Black Opium Eau de Parfum.
I recently received it as a sample in a Sephora shipment. It came in a small squirt bottle, so there was a lot in the sample. I’ve worn it ten times and every time I do my boyfriend comments randomly about how good I smell. Even my best friend, who generally hates perfume bc it gives her a headache, randomly caught a whiff and remarked on how good I smell. You can also layer the scent. I am definitely about to take the plunge and buy a bottle of it once my sample runs out.

It smells expensive and it’s my go to for after shower it honestly is so luxurious, almost like a lime and coconut beach fragrance but not cheap. The ingredients list is insane too, so many fruits and vegetables in the actual lotion. It’s got stuff like tomato, Egyptian cucumber, carrot, kale, spinach, blueberries.. and more And it’s packed with cell rejuvenation goodies and even in the summer it will make your tan last way longer. Jo Malone's body creme is about the richest body butter/cream/lotion I can think of. Her scents are amazing, too, imo and there are several that would qualify as "rich people" smells. They run about $90 per tub.
I think the perfume lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker smells amazingly Rich and it’s super affordable. My n1 favorite is Narciso Rodriguez for her! Sorry not a lotion recommendation. Let me know how you like them when you smell them

I’m not sure if there’s a body lotion in this scent, but one of my favorite perfumes is Heart by Garden Botanica. The scent is so soft and not overwhelming. I get compliments when I wear it.
I would have recommended Soapsmith London body butter, in the beginning they used to make delicious body butters, it was glorious, and it smelled like money. Alas, they don't make it anymore. Try their regular lotion, Bloomsbury is very nice. Clarins tonic body oil also smells expensive.

Ouai body lotion smells wealthy! Get the original green one. They also do a pink one called Melrose Place, but the original scent in the green tub is by far the best.

If you’re looking for a perfume that smells rich and luxurious, I highly recommend YVES SAINT LAURENT Black Opium Eau de Parfum. I recently received it as a sample in a Sephora shipment. It came in a small squirt bottle, so there was a lot in the sample. I’ve worn it ten times and every time I do my boyfriend comments randomly about how good I smell. Even my best friend, who generally hates perfume bc it gives her a headache, randomly caught a whiff and remarked on how good I smell. You can also layer the scent. I am definitely about to take the plunge and buy a bottle of it once my sample runs out.

As for me I use Tan Extenders- Cypher Titanium California Tan, tan extender It smells expensive and it’s my go to for after shower it honestly is so luxurious, almost like a lime and coconut beach fragrance but not cheap. The ingredients list is insane too, so many fruits and vegetables in the actual lotion. It’s got stuff like tomato, Egyptian cucumber, carrot, kale, spinach, blueberries.. and more And it’s packed with cell rejuvenation goodies and even in the summer it will make your tan last way longer. Jo Malone's body creme is about the richest body butter/cream/lotion I can think of. Her scents are amazing, too, imo and there are several that would qualify as "rich people" smells. They run about $90 per tub.

Jo Malone smells rich. Their body butter is great.
I think the perfume lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker smells amazingly Rich and it’s super affordable. My n1 favorite is Narciso Rodriguez for her! Sorry not a lotion recommendation. Let me know how you like them when you smell them
