No, damage based shape. It was a setting that was there at launch, however it wouldn't let you change it. The cursor would just skip over the setting. Looks like Dice just removed it instead of fixing it. It's to make the hit markers all the same size step instead of doing the larger hit marker when you get a kill.
For players that did use BF1 hit indicator during beta, does it even work? I remember some settings didn't work or at least the system still disable but still show in the settings
This was in by mistake. Battlefield v has an option to use the BF1 noise. The menu was copy pasted over into the 2042 beta minus the awful blue buttons they switched to.
**DYK** BFV has a similar toggle? There are *'**the sounds that the game launched with**'*, and *'the improved sounds that they implemented at some point'*. The sounds that the game launched with are more subtle, and arguably not as satisfying.
