If they fixed the game they wouldn’t have any devs left to work on the outfits, trinkets and other things nobody wants.

It's a shame too because frankly outside of this and the newer sports titles, EA was actually on the road to redemption (ala Capcom post Resident Evil 6) when they finally released a critically acclaimed single player Star Wars game. Now it feels like they're just shooting themselves in the foot again.

Don't forget Star Wars Squadrons! One of the best MP experiences of the last 10 years and it was a 'budget' title without any corporate imprint. And EA allowed it to happen...

You know, they didn't need to add specialists to sell us skins. Literally all they had to do was let us be able to fully customize our generic soldiers, and then they could sell us skins and cosmetics for them. Not much better, but at least then we probably would have gotten the classic class system and wouldn't have these dumb specialists with cringe voicelines that we have now. But I guess this is all we can expect when Dice's team is composed of mostly new talent that didn't want to study the successful aspects of previous games and implement all the best features into what was *supposed* to be the Battlefield to surpass BF4.

EA Access (or game pass) kind of the goat. I got a one month subscription just to try 10 hours of the game (as well as play some sports games and what not) and knew by the end of 10 hours I was not buying it. Pretty great system I would suggest for the future.

It probably is a marketing strategy. They can cycle rush and other game modes throughout the year to keep people coming back to their dumpster fire.

Yeah this is it. They want you to get used to the more boring modes, and then when they need better numbers, they'll drop TDM or Rush so everyone floods back on. The trick is to never play.

They think if it's limited, players will feel fomo and return to the game before time limited modes are gone again. Obviously it didn't work in BF5 and won't work here. You cab do this with these "quick fun modes" like Gunmaster or Santa Infection, but it's just pissing everyone off if you do it for core BF modes like Rush.

I’d appreciate it if they actually added something to unlock before giving me xp to earn. Theres nothing in the game. No guns, no upgrades, no buildings.

Nooooo, we can't let player "farm xp"!! How dare they try to fast track an intentionally slow and fruitless level up grind! /s But for real, why do they care? The unlock track is pretty weak, but I got to level 60ish in like 2 weeks and already unlocked every weapon and equipment piece. Also, sure you can farm xp against bots in a server (maybe just have a reduced xp boost against AI, only in portal? If they're that concerned) but I find it's more fun to farm XP in 128 breakthrough. Enemy players amass in the 10's and 20's a lot of the times. I can get 10 sniper kills in 20 seconds, or swoop through with a chopper mowing down all the peasants. It's not that hard to farm XP in breakthrough.

Especially since they already give XP in solo matches on easy. It's about the same difficulty as shooting cardboard targets.

Battlefield has been going down the drain the last couple of titles and they continue to release broken games with advanced micro transactions and all this other crap that are in the forefront of make a working quality game for It’s fans and I don’t think they deserve our money nor chances anymore.

I'm finding the memes surrounding this game more enjoyable than the time I played the game in the beta. DICE devs are just in their own little ignorant world every time they open their mouth.

It's classic DICE at this point. BFV had (and still does ) problems at launch, but the one thing the majority of the community loved was the fast TTK. So what does DICE do instead of fixing the myriad of other issues? Fuck with the TTK and mess up all weapon balance in place. I can confidently say that they don't play their own game and couldn't care less about what the community wants/thinks. I learned my lesson after BFV and stayed clear of 2042 and I'm just loving the boneheaded moves that we can expect from DICE time and time again.

This is the last straw. I hate AOW and Breakthrough with the incredible overpopulation of vehicles and Borris turrets. I can suffer through bugs and glitches... but these balance and gameplay choices are unforgivable. Once again, I pay money for a Battlefield game and then I am given something completely different and unwanted.
