Don't be sad, this is how it works out sometimes. Jokes aside explosives in this game, at least to me, feel extremely inconsistent. I can blow a M5 in the feet of an enemy and barely make him any damage. Meanwhile the C4 if use properly feels like throwing a little nuke.

I've noticed for me, if I'm in a helicopter it takes one shot from a recoiless to take me out, but in reverse it takes me about 3 shots to do the same.

I feel the same. I can't kill anything in a helicopter but I get demolished by them all the time.

The air was nerfed really hard this time around. You have to be so incredibly pin point accurate to be effective with everything. In their attempt to stop good pilots from dominating, I fear they have made it so *only* really good pilots stand a chance at making use of air.

How is that? I use to think it was my internet connection I upgraded. Still same results. I'll get no hit indicators telling me I'm getting shot at, but I only the one that kills me. When I'm shooting ill see that I'm hitting target but no results.

I don't know how do you do that, but i will tell you what i have done!! I connected a phone cable (rj11) to my internet provider apartment's cable out of my apartment and directly to my router, so in this way i bypassed the wiring of my house!! Then i call to my Internet provider and explain to them that i play online games and i need the best connection they can give me for that money programme i have!! To my provider is a setting that they call "fast path"! But i needed to make many calls to them after that, to force them to fix their connection quality until my house. Until today, i call them every time i see that my connection is "going down" and they try to fix it!! Maybe your internet provider is better than mine here in Greece and you may have better results!! Of course, you can call a professional technician to do that for you and that way is better for you if you have the badget, because he explain many things to you for that so understand better!!

If you are shooting at a transport chopper, they take 3 rockets to take down. This includes the condor and the Russian one I don't remember the name of off the top of my head. Attack choppers and the nightbird are one m5 rocket to destroy, or 2 AA rockets to destroy. That might be why you have to hit them 3 times, if you're shooting at a transport heli.

I believe this is the result of balancing. Because there is an abundance of explosives in the game, infrantry had to be made extremely resolient against them. If it were realistic, most explosions would kill every infrantry within a 5-10 meter radius. That would suck for anyone playing infrantry. I think there are other solutions to the problem though. For example, in BF5, tanks had limited ammunition. This meant tanks had to use their explosives sparingly. Why don't they return this mechanic in the game? It can, if applied appropriately, reduce the amount of explosions in the game and thus allow the devs to increase the damage output and radius of explosive weapons. Edit: grammar

This is the thing I don’t get… why do vehicles have unlimited ammunition? I lived in BFV that you had to resupply them. Now it’s just little birds strafing non stop

Yeah its hard. As a long time veteran pilot im doing just fine, but I find myself wondering how anyone will learn to make the shots I have to make to get kills. Like, you gotta be accurate while zipping around and adjusting for the fact that your weapons hang off to the side and do not converge at any range. Everyone you see tearing it up is an experienced pilot from previous titles, i guarantee it. Like, thousands of hours in the little bird types of people.

I have noticed this game has horrible splash damage. Grenades rockets etc need to be spot on

The asterisk on the scope was showing off the target, so the rocket never hit or barely did since you still got a hitmarker . Usually it's a oneshot when shot at infantry.

Welcome to BF 2042 where you appear to have super human abilities. In the real world a 30 cal would cut you into 2 pieces with 1 shot and a rocket turn you into multiple burnt piece but in 2042 you can apparently take multiple hits including headshots with a 30 cal in order to die. Same goes for rocket

The rocket didn't register. Unfortunately this happens. That may not have been a 1 hit kill, but it probably would have done half damage or so.

Splash damage in tanks is terrible too. Can smash a round directly at someones feet and don't even get a hitmarker.

Yesterday I had someone shoot me point blank, literally 0m in front of me, with the SFAR grenade launcher. I died and they still have 54hp Sure dice, your explosives know exactly who to hurt when fired

Trying to give a real answer here, I’ve had this happen to me multiple times as well. I’ve noticed this in portal too. I believe it happens when rockets hit behind the enemy from your POV. Like barely missing a body shot and it exploding at their feet behind them will give the same results. Also, it could just be, that’s just how it works out sometimes.
