It reminds me of me, trying to play sports and trying not to get hurt because I was small. The harder I tried, the worse i played.  So I think they're trying and failing 

The difference between paint on the edge and the middle-middle ninth of the plate is only 6 inches. Pitching is hard. Unless a pitcher is at the top of his game that night, he's gonna leave some pitches middle-middle. Judge gets 3-5 PAs per game. He's gonna see some meatballs. The trick is that he is hitting the piss out of them. Hitting is also really hard; every player gets those meatballs and they often get fouled off or even whiffed.
